  1. I think we can include both sides of the conflict in that, don’t you?
  2. And from the same poll, but missing from the reports: 80% of British Muslims and 47 % of the general British Population believe Israel are engaged in genocide in Palestine.
  3. You have absolutely no idea what I have. I’d rather you spent less time fantasizing about me doing things in basements.
  4. We for sure he’s lost a lot of money. And we know he lies about how much money he has.
  5. Oh I’ve quoted from the polling data that is the basis for the topic under discussion? Goodness, you caught me being on topic.
  6. Here’s how bias in reporting work. The HJ Society commissioned a survey of attitudes amongst British Muslims on a range of issues. The poll returns results amongst which the clear leader in terms of support for the view amongst British Muslims is an 80% believe Israel is committing genocide on Palestine. So the HRC Society write a report focussed on the attitudes and beliefs that have below 50% support amongst British Muslims and this gets distributed by the Telegraph and the Jewish Chronicle. That’s precisely how biased reporting works.
  7. It’s not a deflection. He who pays chooses. Come back with a less biased source.
  8. I see so you make a bet I haven’t looked at the file then you disregard data I quote from the file. If you don’t like the data I quoted from the file why do you accept the data you refer to from the same file?
  9. It’s not baseless speculation to say the HJS is a neoliberal think tank with a history of stoking Islamophobia. View the file? Refer above:
  10. Excellent and thank you for the link. From which we learn that the head and shoulders highest agreement amongst the 1000 British Muslims polled was to the question: Israel is committing genocide on Palestinians 80% of those British Muslims agree, while 46% in the polled general population agree.
  11. I’d like to see the source data, sample size, sample selection criteria and the questions asked.
  12. I don’t have to provide alternative information in order to question the impartiality of a source.
  13. Good luck with your hopes for retroactive application of the law you yourself object to.
  14. I hear tell that having an open discussion on anything before the terrorist attack is a bit of a touchy subject. Until that happens I doubt any of us will get an answer, though we might be fed a few.
  15. Unfortunately, to understand it’s necessary to start asking why. When a line is drawn on the day of a terrorist attack and discussion of any recent events or history before the attack is being negated then you can be assured that someone doesn’t want something to be known, discussed or understood. Why do I think …… So now you are asking me to examine the beliefs of others, perhaps I need to look at their own past history, their own background, events that took place before the survey. Though to be honest my first question would be is the survey/report reliable? And if it were reliable I’d ask were are these Muslims getting their information on what is happening in Gaza? It all goes back to the source and being able to ask questions.
  16. Regardless, the vast majority of sport is amateur and non profit.
  17. I agree, there is no justification for taking or holding hostages. But clearly it happens. So the question is why? Oh, but trying to understand why is excusing the behavior, so let’s not try to understand why. Let’s just pretend events happen in complete absence of any preliminary conditions. I think we owe it to the victims on both sides of this war to understand why. And asking why is not excusing anything.
  18. IM sorry Trans, what are you banging on about? What ‘foreign folk’? About half of the Muslims in the UK were born in the UK, they are British. Perhaps you think I was somehow referring to those born elsewhere. Or maybe you were just being plain silly.
  19. Maybe, and here’s a thought for you. The events of recent history played a part in the attack which lead to the hostages being in the tunnel.
  20. If you say so. Why does a sports organization have to be profitable. I took part in a cycling race yesterday, 120 competitors, men and women riding together, prizes with zero commercial value and I doubt the event made any money at all. That’s how the vast majority of sport is, be it local bike races, amateur swimming clubs, village soccer teams, the list goes on.
  21. I was asking you. It appears you don’t have an answer.
  22. That’s the opinion. I think it way past time for some facts. Why was it deemed never rush Trump in the middle of the night to the Walter Reid Memorial Hospital in order to administer him with the Montreal Cognitive Assessment Test?
  23. I’m inclined to take him at his word. ’I will be a dictator on day one’.
