I suspect being unstable makes an individual more susceptible to being wound up by hate mongers on social media and elsewhere. The killer had a history of engaging in online hate posts, it will be interesting to hear when that history started and what was behind it. -

More imaginings. I suggest you too join me in waiting for the investigation to reveal his motivation. Being unstable probably makes the killer more susceptible to being motivated by religion or politics, but I doubt being unstable in and of itself is the cause of his violence. I look forward to hearing the investigation’s findings on his motivation.

I don’t dispute any of that. But just as there is no evidence of religion being the killer’s motivation there is no evidence that the killer was motivated by rightwing hate mongering. As I said, I look forward to hearing what the killer’s motivation was.
