  1. If £8 Billion profit this year was double their profit of last year (do the math), which particular year did you have in mind?
  2. “after being detained by a steward, he said: "It wasn't a racial thing, it just happened" Let me see if I remember this correctly. ’Well, he would say that, wouldn’t he!’. But did you miss this: ” Magistrate Mervyn Mandell added: "We have in the circumstances found the racial element was there." Van driver Panteli, of Norwich, was fined £500, which was increased by £100 for the racial element, and told to pay £135 in costs.”
  3. Righty-o Paul: https://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/football/news/banana-skin-thrown-black-footballer-13680260
  4. Like I said, Paul, ‘It is facile to deny this racism was real and that it has a lingering presence in the minds of people who grew up in the UK through those years.’ Along you come to prove me right.
  5. Some might see it as revisionism. There we’re multiple ‘messages’ pick the one that suits your purpose.
  6. No surprises at all. For too long now we were warned the processed food industry where copying the successful tactics of the tobacco industry, and yet here we are. Now all we need is a few shills to come along and regurgitate the misinformation they’ve been drop fed.
  7. You aren’t running for public office on a platform of removing women’s right to ‘My body my decision’. Spot the difference?
  8. We are all entitled to change our opinion, but there’s more to this. Walker is standing on a campaign platform to deny women the right to abortions, while he himself has paid for one former partner to abort a pregnancy he had ‘a hand in’ (she’s got the receipts). And has continued to lie about it. He’s a liar and a hypocrite. However, it is also becoming increasingly apparent that Walker is not in favor of contraception, this will undoubtedly endear him to some on the swivel eyed religious right of the GOP.
  9. It makes the news because a guy just lost millions for spewing hate. But since you mentioned deficits continuing to increase, here a catch-up for you: https://www.cnbc.com/2022/10/21/us-budget-deficit-cut-in-half-for-biggest-decrease-ever-amid-covid-spending-declines.html
  10. It’s a full on conspiracy. Or it’s just some guy running his mouth with hate and getting the payback all for himself. Not like the good old days, when hate begot consequences for the target of the hate.
  11. Or so you tell us in your social media post on this social media platform.
  12. Where is he being ridiculed on the basis of his mental illness?
  13. Please explain the connection between ‘this administration’ and the business decisions of a German corporation?
  14. The jury heard the charges, the evidence and the defense. The Jury handed down a guilty verdict. Well done all who brought these homegrown terrorists to Justice.
  15. So a bunch of grown men get together to found a terrorist group. One of them comes up with the idea of ‘Wolverine Watchmen’ and all the others think ‘yeh, that’s us’. Well done FBI for infiltrating this home grown terrorist organization, well done the public prosecutor for securing a successful prosecution, well done the court and jury for handing them Justice. Now cage them.
  16. The pensions triple lock is back in the cross hairs. Has anyone told the Tories that Pensioners vote?
  17. It was a windfall tax in name only, well not even in name only, Sunak described it as a ‘profits levy’ and was delivered with exclusive juicy 91p/£ tax breaks securely placed in the back pocket.
  18. Please, I’m not ‘Pro-Brexit’. Meanwhile, there’s more: Disease threat as UK waits for border control posts.” https://www.fwi.co.uk/livestock/health-welfare/livestock-diseases/disease-threat-as-uk-waits-for-border-control-posts
  19. There was no need when the UK was a member, goods headed to the UK were already being checked by source EU nation. Now they are not. Result as reported above.
  20. They were a ‘24 hour crack down’ (as stated in the article). The UK has not yet put import controls in place to deal with the withdrawal from EU standards and regulations. https://www.reuters.com/world/uk/britain-scraps-plans-post-brexit-import-controls-2022-04-28/
  21. No. When the UK was a member of the EU member states inspected goods being shipped to the UK to ensure they met EU Standards. That ended with Brexit. Alternative UK side inspections have not been put in place.
