  1. Well perhaps a comparison with something a little more relevant than the most impoverished province of Thailand. Perhaps the condition of the UK economy and levels of poverty in the UK before Brexit vs today might be a better comparison, though not one in favour of Brexit.
  2. I suggest Citizens stop employing them to get their yard work done.
  3. Back to your history books. The Chinese built a wall, you might have heard of it. It failed.
  4. And yet the G7 nations that did not have Brexit have all recovered their economies to pre-COVID levels.
  5. How about constructing an argument relating to the state of the UK economy without having to rely on some irrelevant argument about poverty in the NE of Thailand?!
  6. Fact: The UK economic data for Q3 2022 has been revised down. Productivity is abysmal. Growth is stagnant. Inflation is above 10% The nation is beset with strikes. Millions can’t afford to eat regular meals or heat their homes. Mortgage and rent area are are in ascendance. Millions are waiting months or years for surgery. The Government target for GP appointments is 2 weeks (7 times what it was when they came into office). Food banks and homeless shelters are doing a brisk business.
  7. And the price of a Chang at the mom and pop?
  8. People living in poverty and you drag in some fictitious story about a Lord and his mansion. Cap doffers might be impressed with such nonsense, but it hardly represents the lives lived by millions.
  9. It’s been a steep decline then..
  10. Which is why the UK is the only G7 nation not to have recovered its economy to its pre-COVID level.
  11. I suggest you ask the Chinese how well walls work.
  12. Many a western visitor has taken advantage of the means the poor of Thailand, particularly those from the NE of Thailand, resort to when they are desperate for money. It’s hardly something to commend.
  13. Which explains the Leave campaign’s efforts to instill a distrust in experts.
  14. Which is only evidence that you can have £800 removed from your bank account and believe the people who removed it are giving you something when they return it to you.
  15. I hope you aren’t suggesting all opinions are equal? If so I can save you money on medical advice next time you need it.
  16. Jam tomorrow, warm sunlit uplands somewhere over the horizon.
  17. I don’t know anyone who does not accept that ‘Leave’ won. Regardless that is not the topic of discussion, and why would it be. What is being discussed is the consequences of ‘Leave’ winning. Consequences that are not acceptable to a growing number of people, which is almost certainly why Brexit supporters try so hard to deflect from discussion on the matter.
  18. And ‘Leveling up’ turned out to be another con trick.
  19. The question is ‘better at what?’ What is the particular measure you are referring to and is it of any significance? So ‘UK doing slightly better than Germany’ please explain what ‘slightly better’ you are referring to?
  20. I suspect you are being choosy with your measure of ‘slightly better’.
  21. It’s also caused by a restriction in the close of goods and services. Which is why the UK is the only G7 nation that has not recovered it’s economy to pre-COVID levels.
  22. The UK remains the only G7 nation with an economy lower than it was pre-COVID. While early economic data are setting a trend of being revised down as final data is accounted. https://uk.finance.yahoo.com/news/uk-economy-contracted-more-first-072853030.html?guccounter=1&guce_referrer=aHR0cHM6Ly93d3cuZ29vZ2xlLmNvLnRoLw&guce_referrer_sig=AQAAAEaYW_hyO_5LQ1gJFm2vqp4zrpquyFkz1z-iVjXvrrqWse5iGhus4x9PnfG0J3bWJloEaCN9gjx8UP8V9gkCx6D9tY5g8pn05SakJwpfxjDrhUiChRkwMPmeIy17ClxyCOqUdJhitCXIQwQjqt7iZyK5_tBVsVRLhq-lYdD9QOam As for complaining about bashing the UK, from someone who supported the self harm of Brexit, let’s park that shall we.
  23. That was a vote to join the EU ( sign up to the treaty of Rome). But regardless, the Single Market and the customs Union were not on the Brexit ballot. It’s leaving the Single Market and Customs Union that is inflicting the economic damage on the UK - nobody voted for it.
  24. Can somebody, preferably a Brexit supporter, point out the part where anyone voted to leave the Single Market and the Customs Union?
