  1. They might hate Washington but it’s not uncommon for people receiving cash handouts to hate those giving them money: https://smartasset.com/data-studies/states-most-dependent-on-the-federal-government-2022
  2. It’s a gift to the DOJ. They have an easy to prove crime with which to nail people at the very center of Trump’s WH administration. Cutting a plea deal means giving up all crimes and knowledge of crimes. The first to cooperate gets the best deal. The prisoners dilemma at play.
  3. Conspiracy to commit perjury. The committee are very right not to release names, just pass it on to the DOJ (evidence and testimony are being routinely passed to the DOJ) and let the wheels of Justice grind away. The unnamed witnesses know they are being referred to and they know the best thing they can do is cooperate. Good luck with your ‘Hardly going to be submitted to a real court’.
  4. *Deleted post edited out* You are correct, while he himself doesn’t accept the fact, he’s not even President anymore. He no longer has his hand picked corrupt USAG running cover for him and neither does he have a GOP controlled Senate voting down his impeachment for crimes and abuse of power committed in plain sight. Look on the bright side, he is at least getting to keep this one campaign promise to release his taxes, even if we had to wait for the Democrats to help him do it.
  5. Helping Trump keep his 2016 Campaign promise.
  6. Erm, Hanukkah, it’s a Jewish festival.
  7. Your assertion that Biden is not talking about ‘all antisemitism’ is based on your ‘wild guess’.
  8. What does anyone expect after 12 years of Tory mismanagement.
  9. I wonder how many immigrants the UK can send to Rwanda before somebody in Rwanda asks ‘why is one of the richest nations in the world (GDP $3Trillion +) sending it’s immigrants to Rwanda (GDP $12Billion)? Smacks of dumping the UK’s problems on Rwanda, Colonialism 2022.
  10. How fortunate for your argument that ‘your friend used to process claim 20 years ago’.
  11. Once again, the Rwanda scheme is only applicable to people who are having their asylum applications considered. It is not illegal to enter the UK to seek asylum.
  12. Oddly you give us a regurgitation of the view from the gutter press. They stoke this garbage to increase sales, the gullible fall for it.
  13. The arguments for a British republicanism do not need to rely on racism, misogyny or any other form of hatred. In truth they’d be far better made without such hate.
  14. Let’s do the math. 40,000 people crossed the channel in the past 12 months. The Rwanda PR stunt allows for 200 of which to be deported to Rwanda. Assuming all 40,000 were caught then the odds of being deported to Rwanda are 0.5%. This is a PR stunt, it has one objective, to distract from the Government’s failings and it’s means of doing so is by enacting a policy based on cruelty. It plays well to people within the Unitary Circle Venn Diagram.
  15. It doesn’t surprise me at all that you and a few others here found Clarkson’s vile comments funny or otherwise excusable. I would have predicted as much.
  16. You’ll need to explain that. It doesn’t make sense. The ruling has no bearing at all on criticism of the Government.
  17. I use the term ‘immigrants’ because includes the whole range from economic migrants, illegal immigrants and legal asylum seekers. The Rwanda scheme applies to people claiming asylum, it is not illegal to enter the UK to claim asylum. I shall not stoop to accusing you of deliberately omitting ‘asylum seekers’ to suit your agenda.
  18. We’ve yet to hear the response of Rwanda’s opposition to this scheme. Those Brits incessantly outraged over immigrants need only deploy a small amount of imagination to figure out there are Rwandans who are not at all happy with this UK Government distraction publicity stunt.
  19. I look forward to hearing how much this Government publicity stunt is costing tax payers. We’ll then get an idea of how much public money the Government are willing to spend to create a distraction from their own failures. I also look forward to hearing the rightwing response when Rwanda enacts the flip side of this deal and starts deporting it’s own immigrants to the UK.
  20. Musk’s main business, and the one he needs to pay attention to is Tesla. He’s very clearly being distracted from his cash cow by Twitter. Perhaps he’s looking for an out so he can cut an run back to Tesla.
  21. ‘There will be’. ’Sun-lit uplands’, ‘Jam tomorrow’. There is, economic stupor and growing international irrelevance.
  22. All we need to know now is, which corrupt ‘house of cards’ will crumble. And it’s not in dispute that there is a house of cards assembled from a trick deck.
  23. In reality he’s just taken another brick out of ‘Brand Musk’ on which a great deal of shares are overvalued. He’s playing Jenga with other people’s money.
