What leaks? AG Garland is running a tight ship. Nobody even saw a search of a former President’s home coming, until Trump himself broadcast the fact on his failing ‘Truth Social’ soapbox.

It’s a bit of a conundrum as to why Trump did not simply return the documents. But then we learn about ‘empty folders’, which raises the question, had he already ‘disposed’ of those documents by the time he was asked to return them? He’s clearly got a lot of explaining to do.

It was Trump who went to court requesting details of the case be revealed. He got what he asked for.

Oh so that’s the ‘political interference in Justice’ you’ve been banging on about. Its your hope for the future.

I rely on my very recent experience of being in the UK. If I had not been there for decades, I might have to rely on videos. I don’t need you selecting videos for me. I’ve explained this very clearly.

Don’t bother ‘But But Buting’ me. I’m the one stating follow procedure and give the suspect his Constitutional right to have the evidence against him reviewed by a Grand Jury and have the Grand Jury decide if indictment is warranted.

US Constitution, Fifth Amendment, Grand Juries. The search has uncovered the fact of empty files with missing TS/SCI documents, I’m sure the DOJ will want to investigate that thoroughly before taking their evidence to the Grand Jury.

What I want is the DOJ to follow procedure, and get their case(s) water tight before going to the Grand Jury. What I don’t want is for the DOJ to fail getting an indictment because they did not follow procedure or messed up evidence.

That’s not how it works and you know that’s not how it works.

Did you miss the news, Trump’s just been awarded the ‘Special Master’ he’s sought to slowdown the DOJ investigation against him.

I think you’re on to something. Defending Trump against unprovable accusations as to what TV programs is a smart move. You can park the really serious criminal accusations against him, and salvage a modicum of ‘face’ with the near certain statement: ‘But the Libs were wrong about his TV favorites’. I’ll take that. I’m so glad I saved reading that with my morning coffee, it’s set my day up wonderfully. I have some business today at city hall, I now feel prepared to deal with any level of nonsense they throw at me. I’ve been fully inoculated. Thank you.

Trump’s lawyers signed and submitted a statement that all requested documents had been returned. The FBI had evidence (obviously someone on the inside) that demonstrated to the satisfaction of the Judge who authorized the search that the signed statements were a lie. Evidence recovered proved it was a lie. Justice is coming. Trump is on indictment watch.

It’s taken 28 days for Trump’s legal team to wake up, find a Trump appointed Judge and convince her to issue a gibberish order that the appeals court will drive a corrections department paddy wagon through. The DOJ had their ducks in a row, they knew what they were looking for, they knew where to find what they were looking for, they obtained a lawful search warrant and they undertook a lawful search finding exactly what they were looking for (and then some). In the background they had already liaised with the Director of National Security to ensure they had the security cleared personnel available to sort, catalog and review the stolen TS/SCI documents that were recovered. The DOJ have their evidence, US security services are already undertaking impact assessments of the risks/threats Trump’s actions have created for the US. Trump’s half baked and fat too late delay tactic will be appealed and will be tossed out. Justice is coming. Trump is in indictment watch.

I think you’ll find many of us who oppose this failed government made categorical statements as soon as the candidates were announced that our preferred offering would be Truss. It’s there in the record of the posts we made at the time.
