  1. The absolute number (nearly 6 in 10) is not the number to watch. What matters is the relative change in the numbers. That change will not come from hard pro/anti Trump supporters but from the moderate middle ground. It’s the moderate middle that swings elections.
  2. This is not a court, it’s an investigation. The court comes later.
  3. I guess you believe watching TV is the only way to get the news?
  4. Nonsense. The unions did not destroy British Industry, that was done with government policies and decades of underinvestment. You might recall Maggie’s ‘post industrial age’ speech. Workers rights were indeed won by union action, and are being stripped away in the absence of Union action. Rights won can and are being removed. Unionized workers and collective bargaining are a perfect example of the ‘Free Market’ in action. Yes there are about 1.3million vacancies in the UK right now, there is also inflation. Workers are in a very good position to bargain for better pay and workers in unions are in an even better position. And for the record, inflation has arrived before pay increases, pay increases are not the cause of inflation.
  5. When in truth, the vision we are getting is labour relations under a Tory Government.
  6. The Committee has the authority to request DoJ investigations and is already handing over records of sworn testimony from the hearings.
  7. The actual judicial test is ‘can it be proved beyond reasonable doubt that accused did know’. Multiple corroborating sworn testimony from the people who’s job it was to advise Trump is exactly the kind of evidence that achieves ‘beyond reasonable doubt’.
  8. Barr was Trump’s golden boy when he was doing Trump’s bidding, Trump only attacked Barr when he advised against Trump’s ‘Big Lie’. But there’s another problem for Trump and his MAGA followers, Barr is not the only witness. Stay tuned.
  9. Again, gaslighting. The rail strike is not an attempt to overthrow the Government. You made that up, it’s not a thing.
  10. Alternative headline: ”Russia confirms sanctions are working”.
  11. That clip of Trump’s hand picked DoJ testifying under oath that he told Trump to his face that his claim the election has been stolen where ‘Bull…’. Was Barr lying under oath?
  12. Where as being nasty to those less fortunate is the drug of choice for the right.
  13. Republicans hunting each other, what’s not to like about that?
  14. 1. The thread is not about Labour or Labour’s policies. 2. Nobody is trying to bring the Government down, you made that bit up. 3. Your assertion that Union Members are used as ‘political pawns’ missiles the fact that it is Union Members who voted for this strike, the Union is found exactly what a clear majority of Union Members are telling it to do. So, misdirection and whataboutary, followed by imagined fallacy and a display of a complete misunderstanding of how unions operate. Keep it up, you are doing wonderfully.
  15. The target audience is not Trump’s MAGA. It is very right and proper that the Congress leaves prosecution to the DoJ. There is ample evidence that the DoJ is investigating and prosecuting those involved in the Jan 6 attempt to overthrow the election result.
  16. Quit gaslighting Loiner, the strike is not an attempt to bring down the Government. ‘Political Pawns’ you say!
  17. Union workers are ‘members of the public’. The Government are failing here, refusing to join negotiations while pitching one set of working people against other working people. It’s a perfect example of Tory divide and rule with the inevitable spite and envy thrown in ( look how much those people earn!). Poverty and the cost of living crisis are getting worse, the way to fix that is improve incomes for working people. Workers who unionize are able to negotiate better pay and conditions, and have every right to do so (or at least for the time being they do). Here’s the laughable bit, Government and the right wing in faux outrage over the impacts on the poor. When did a Tory Government or the rightwing ever care about the poor?
  18. Not just Republicans, but Farage too. If Assange was smart enough to know what’s in his best interest, and there is scant evidence he is, he would be negotiating a plea deal. He was directly involved in Russia’s interference in the 2016 election, he has information to trade. He needs do take the best option he has available and cut a plea deal.
  19. He’ll only get a sentence if the Jury find him guilty.
