  1. Your words: ”Why would they, when they can sit at home claiming benefits and housing allowance for them and their 6 kids, browsing their iPhone for which tattoo to get next?”
  2. Recall Parliament and have the PM explain her mess is the first.
  3. Why ask if you already think you know. The Opposition have put forward solutions which seem to be very well accepted by voters, hence their climb to a 33% lead in opinion polls over the Tories.
  4. Perhaps because they don’t live the life you have imagined for them. Take away the life you have imagined for them and you don’t have an argument. Surely that is obvious to you?
  5. Give it up with the ‘people like you’ nonsense. Deal with the arguments.
  6. Pay them better and they will come.
  7. I think it has a lot more to do with him sending Ministers of State to lie on his behalf. The press reporting the truth is a good thing, especially when the PM is a liar.
  8. But still within the 1.2 million unemployed
  9. No. Nothing at all to do with the Left of anything. Tory MP’s submitted letters of no confidence, Tory Ministers withdrew support. Then the same Tory MPs chose candidates to replace Johnson and the Tory Constituency Party members chose Truss. Nothing at all to do with the Left.
  10. There are approximately 1.2 million people unemployed in the UK right now. Here’s a quarter of them. They are not interested in you simplistic answers to complex problems: https://theconversation.com/over-50s-are-resigning-en-masse-new-research-explains-who-and-why-181895
  11. The Left had absolutely no say in the matter. Truss and the mess Truss is making is all down to the Tories.
  12. The problem was borrowing money to give tens of £Billions (not £2Billion) in unnecessary tax cuts to the already wealthy. Without an economic impact analysis and without an economic plan (both now promised at some future date). I have no doubt cuts social programs are on the way, which may have been the only real plan, but none of this was in the manifesto at the last election, nobody has voted for it.

  14. If there are, it’s the Left’s fault.
  15. That 33 % Labour lead is a ‘fact’ that will have grabbed the attention of Tory Back Benchers. It’s encouraging to see its not only the economy Truss is destroying. But that too was predicted.
  16. Oops, even the rightwing media are on the case: https://www.dailymail.co.uk/home/index.html
  17. They don’t need to dig very far do they?!
  18. It’s not the response of the Left that matters, it’s how the markets respond. £65billion spent propping up UK guilts as a direct result of Truss’ idiocy.
  19. Nothing for Truss and Kwarteng to worry about then.
  20. Without tanking it or putting pensions at risk.
  21. Delighted. Adds: I was in the UK listening to BBC Radio 4 Today Program as news broke time and time again of Tory Minister resignations. It was wonderful, Radio at its best. But I had absolutely no say in the matter.
  22. It’s not just the pound. The BoE has been forced into £65Billion of quantitative easing, this isn’t getting any better.
  23. It’s a meaningless question, he wasn’t in the job, he’d been kicked out by the Tories. Let’s stay in the real world of the mess Truss is making.
  24. It was nothing to do with the Left. Tory MPs in a Government with an 80 seat majority threw Johnson out of No 10. Then together with the Constituency Conservative Party membership selected his replacement. The Left had absolutely no say in the matter. I do however note even the ardent rightwing are now suffering ‘buyer’s remorse’.
  25. That wasn’t the choice. The choice was Truss or Sunak, the Tories made the wrong choice. And the outcome was predictable:
