It's too late I'm afraid

I wanted to climb a mountain this weekend and camp at the top, the national park rangers said that the trail was closed because it is too hot at this time of year.......This is Thailand mate, it's always f'ing hot! Just sheer laziness, I get this all the time. I have now resorted to cutting out bits of white triangle plastic and taking a few nails and hammer to help with the trail direction. If not that many people go up a trail, they can't be bothered to keep it open. The whole point of hiking up a mountain is it is hot, its humid, there are bugs everywhere and it is a massive challenge in Thailand. For the majority of hikers here, a hike up a Thai mountain involves giving all your heavy <deleted> to a Thai local Sherpa and merrily making your way up; only to then have some massive banquet at the top and make noise into the wee hours. Rant over

No wonder they can't even beat the Cambodian army in small skirmishes in the jungle.

Ritual beatings and assaults by seniors on juniors (face slapping being one of the milder forms) was the stock in trade of the Imperial Japanese Army and Navy.
I wonder if it got passed on between 1942 and 1945?
Do you mean when Thailand declared war against the Allies but luckily decency prevailed in Washington DC? Yeah I remember that and now they are doing the same with China. Next time we shouldn't be so bloody forgiving!

Yes I can agree with much of that although when you start to trace the problem back to that degree it becomes far too complicated for the average TV Forum member to fully comprehend. Plus there has to be a basic premise that we can hold to be true today and that is that higher grade bonds and sovereigns are about as low risk as you can find in the bond market. If you remove that premise then what's left is that the world has been motoring down a dead end road for decades.
I concur

Why everyone keeps blaming China for not being prepared, when it is obvious that the western countries are far worsein that object.
Take Italy for example, a population 20 times smaller than China, yet they are surpassing China in death toll.
I guess that is because they were prepared and took early and correct measurements at the right time. NOT?
Oh and please refrain from that conspiracy drivel that the China numbers are not correct.
I'm blaming China for their disgusting wet markets and eating habits. I'm blaming China for trying to cover it up because they are a despicable inhumane dictatorship.

Well that's how the all behave back home. They let their children <deleted> and pee in the street. They even have special clothes made to enable kids to do this with ease. Google it and enlighten yourself.

Stems from the extremely xenophobic PRC brainwashing from birth. They are taught they are a superior race and to hate the West. Their hatred is sad because they are truly delusional from the controlled propaganda spoon fed to them through their lives. Very similar to the brainwashed people of North Korea.
I totally agree and I am not really getting at the general population as I pity them more for having to live under such a regime. I have 'mainlander' friends who despise the regime and a vast amount of their fellow countrymen. They are pretty much in self-exile all over the world, left for uni and just basically tore up their passports, some have even had their families threatened by the state if they didn't return.

They need to be stopped soon. Everytime I see Chinese nationals in my apartment building, they give me this look of utter hatred. I loathe the way Thailand are kowtowing to them like some <deleted>. My Thai daughter does not and will never have the same blinded trust and admiration for a disgusting regime that is the PRC. We will have Honkers back one day mark my words.

China must be well ahead with a cure or immunisation for the China virus. So how about they repay the world for the destruction their virus has caused and give the world these said medicines for free!

The whole world needs to offer free healthcare for anyone who is infected with the Chinese virus. If anyone is to foot that bill it is China...the creators of this virus. Yes, they created this virus through their complete and utter disregard for sanitised market environments. This isn't even the first time this has happened either!

Nobody really knows. Western countries are predicting it will be August before they could get it under control and then suffer a severe recession. The only hope is Indians and Chinese and if India's current control measure works, they may start trickling from September.
Wicked...a country full of Indian and Chinese tourists, well I'm psyched, I don't know about anyone else.

So this is speaking for the younger generation and the general consensus of Thais. They loathe the government and they loathe Anutin as much as the one running the regime government.
I concur, eh is the butt of all jokes as is Prayut at my daughters school.

Where do all these deranged people crawl out of here? This country is just an oddity of what takes priority and what can't be here but it is because it is officially illegal and thus doesn't exist.
It's not an oddity, it's what is called a 'Kansas city shuffle'. ????

Oh the glorious humorous sight of Thai movie stars dressed up in Muay Thai gear pretending to be hard. It is even funnier when they try to grow beards to look like men, of which they are definitely not.

It never ceases to amaze me that these people can't recognise reckless driving, and driving with undue care and attention, which it seriously seems to be the case here, and immediately charge the drivers with it. He obviously wasn't paying attention or he wouldn't have needed to suddenly swerve and wasn't looking at what was coming the opposite way, or he wouldn't have pulled into the wrong lane and wiped three people out.
Do you drive in Thailand?

It's a matter of perception whether they're "humane". All governments to some extent rely on the "consent of the governed", even autocratic ones. Look at how the Chinese emperor is trying to re-frame the narrative. In today's Economist there's a brief article on how North Korea's ruler is terrified of losing "the mandate of heaven" if Covid-19 runs amok in that country
Or the fact that their leader works so hard he doesn't need to poo or pee, he burns it from within.

Just now, cornishcarlos said:Problem is, they don't give any information on who, where, why etc !!
Singapore is giving clear information on a case by case basis incl contact tracing..
One new case from yesterday was a guy who had been in Thailand just previously...
Because although Singapore is ruled by an autocratic government, they are still humane enough to want to protect their own citizens. This bunch of muppets think protecting the economy is better than saving lives!

I agree with you to a certain extent, but I also think a lot of the poorer people (maybe those that have moved to Bangkok ) in Bangkok are also very racist. I have had a few incidents the last year or so where some Thais have shown racist attitude towards me as soon as they saw me. It wasn't like this when I came here 20+ years ago, but I can definitely see the changes.
They are only like this in Thailand; confront them in another country out of their control and you will soon seen who they really are..cowards!
PS. I am talking about the arrogant hi-so and wannabe hi-so types; not about Thai's in general who I find to be awesome.

I expect nothing less from this jackass. Ask your wives, girl friends, gigs, mia nois, children...this guy and the cronies at large are getting slaughtered on social media by your average Thai citizen, good!
How in the hell can you possibly even think about criticising medical professionals on the front line of an enormously infectious disease.
The only people who are to blame is the Chinese communist regime for again allowing unhygienic environments to flourish and transmit these diseases from animals to humans and then to try and cover it up. Covid 19 = Chinese made world wide devastation. Only solution = cut off China and bleed them dry so that the Chinese people can free themselves of this disgusting selfish unapologetic murdering regime.
