It worth not much again. It cannot solve the real problems of those who actually work in Thailand. I cannot help, but I have a feeling that Thailand supposes that everyone wants to work in Thailand with the intention to grab the positions from the Thais. Green cards are working in the USA why on Earth cannot be do something similar? Why should Thai officials fight with the misbelieve that "farangs" have bad behaviour and they have to be controlled very tight otherwise Thailand is lost?

„Changes to Work Permit Laws, Regulations & Enforcement
Emergency Decree on Foreigner’s Working Management No.2 B.E. 2561 (2018)
• Work Permit is not required for:

− Persons who enter Thailand to operate business or to make investment or who have knowledge, ability, or high skills, which would be beneficial to the development of the country“
And ... WHO DECIDES THIS?
He is the same person you have to give a brown envelope.

First I arrived here ten years ago and get a decent salary. The work was good easy 18-20 periods a week. One dish cost me 20-25 Baht, Thais watched me jealously. Now I have exactly the same salary. I work more than 25-27 periods a week and the same dish cost me 40. The only what remained to the same is the jealousy.

This seems like overkill to a degree. They have found no signs of infection and you know the parents are absolutely desperate to hug their kids and the kids are also undoubtedly dying to hug them back. I do hope these restrictions are lifted swiftly.
Surely, they have a good reason. So far everything has been done fine. Let them work.

Maybe I am wrong, but I have seen reports on six than seven children escaped. I hope everybody will be out in good health soon.

No riskier when the boys go panic. Doctors know what to do, they are on the spot. They give no ganja, or ice, but sedative. Surely, they understand the dosage.

What is your point here ? Let us be happy, the team could escape. Let us be proud and express our sincere thanks to the kids, who could remain strong and the rescue team, who performed gigantic work. Let us be proud that a lot of nation can join together for a good thing.

Not surprised boats got in trouble in that wind. I am surprised they were out there and hadn't made all haste back to shore before the weather hit.
It was forecast and even I knew it was coming.
Hope all are ok.

I'm 65 now, still teaching. No problem until my physical conditions are acceptable and I can teach. I must admit it is far more difficult to find new offer as it was, say 20 years ago ?

Be happy someone has found them in relative good condition.

Someone said, that they could not see their own hand in the cave. How could the boys go forward in that cave? Surely, they were frightened, nervous and without a single candle and it is not easy to go ahead even for fully equipped professionals.

Nice graphics!
Leaving the shoes behind still stump me....Obviously they encountered water so they would wade through and then start walking again - why wouldn't you carry your shoes with you to use once you got thru the puddle or the initial water? Did they think their entire trip inside would be walking thru water? Talk about a key decision-making point!
Still think locating the group's exact location via technology would have been the initial step one vs a blitzkrieg attack against nature. And before people jump on me for that statement, then if the technology doesn't indicate a sign of life, then that tells you something....only experts can tell you if they have confidence in the technology being used given the current condition....
It's like diagnostic surgery vs exploratory surgery....
Leaving the shoes, flip tops may have a sense. The shoes should be wet and not easy to walk in the water in flip tops. Moreover, they are familiar with walking barefoot. ....
Hope the best

Thai man who bottled female tourist apologizes to society and Koh Phangan - she's gone to Dubai

Thais have no ability to control themselves, I would say. Anyhow, this case should attract the interest of the tourists. Rape them, bottle them, cheat them and they will be attracted like bees to the flowers.
