In some countries, you can change your name. One time, I had a college, who was a pedo. He was sentenced in England twice, maybe more. Between two presence at the courts, he was a teacher in Thailand.
I don't understand Thais. Why on the Earth do they import these pedos, ladyboys and others? They have enough in their country.

Sadly, even in a normal Thai school, one can easily find such kinda garbage. Leaving alone the more accepted sexual "adventures". I have worked in a school where a good number of Thai leaders were phedo. No one dared to say a word.

Not too long time ago when someone heard American, he could associate to Jimi Hendrix, Crosby, Stills, Nash and Young, Elvis Presley, Bob Hope or Ted Nugent. Lately; phedos... The world is changing

Guys look carefully at the language used in that email. I'm not at all convinced that a Frenchman (even if he couldn't write good English as in that email ) would use that kind of terminology.
Why would one Caucasian to another Caucasian refer to the monkey house?
And the other thing I question is whether anyone who has wormed his way into that position could be that incredibly stupid as to keep threatening people this way?

Rich Thai people become Chinese?
Now "ChiThaiLandna"?
Would it be the first time in our history? Do the richest families have Chinese origin in Thailand?

The police clearance certificate is not required to get a work permit for teaching.
It is also not required to apply for a extension of stay at immigration based upon teaching.
It is only required to get a single entry non-b visa at nearby embassies and consulates.based upon teaching.
The local Education Office has refused to sign my documents to be submitted to the Embassy, so I had to do.
I did not say it is required to apply for an extension, but since my visa expires before I get the police clearing, I had to do a visa run.
It is the same as blood test. Some Labor offices ask, others not. Sadly, my Labor office insists on it.

E-commerce in Thailand? Only China is really involved in this. Due to my experiences, 90% of calling a Thai firm, does not matter if it is a big or small one, failed, just because after a short heehaw, it becomes to quite evident that no one can speak your language. Answering to a mail? Same, but without giggling, or at least you cannot hear. Thailand is the first, Thailand is perfect, Thailand should develop a lot to survive.

It should be a joke only. A new regulation forces every non-Thai work permit applicants to have criminal clearance from the Thai Police. At a first glance, it seems to be OK, one can approach the closest big police stations, waits a couple of hours and he will get the required confirmation.
No, This is not the case. Thais are great to develop every simple case to be complicated and tiresome.
No one can get the confirmation from the local or even a close police station, it is only possible at Thai Police Headquarter in Bangkok. That simply means that every teacher should travel long hours, pay considerable money from Sadao to Chiang Rai. Moreover, some Embassies do not require this document for granting Non-B visa, but the local Education Office may insist on it. In my case, it cost 4000 baht and 4 times 14 hours travels, to get this confirmation.
The normal procedure at the Police HQ is two weeks. Since the submitting the documents to Non-B visa is usually happens one or two weeks before one's visa expires, it is necessary to ask for an extension from Immigration office or do a visa run. (2000 Baht)
AT the Police HQ they take a fingerprint test and surely some other actions what the applicant cannot see. (if any)
At the office, the stuff is mainly polite -finally, it is a police station, and most of their clients are criminals or will be that - but their English knowledge is limited.
Maybe I am wrong but can hardly understand. Why it is so complicated and why it is impossible to take the fingerprint at a big police station and send it electronically to the HQ.
Moreover, I cannot cope the use of this confirmation. I am not proud of it, but I know some guys lived or even living from crime. They have a nice life in Thailand no one bothers them. They are good whatever they want they can get and their very last wish is to have a work permit from Thailand. -

I was recently privy to a teacher salary list from a government school. They make much more than anyone on this thread has reported. Some make 60,000 mo
It should be a government school, or a well-known international school in BKK.

The numbers you mentioned are really the bottom of the barrel rates. Also your wife only gets 14k as a teacher ? Even the lowest scumbag delivery drivers who get smacked on lao khao on a weekday make around that figure at the company i work for.
There are quite a few Thais in mid management positions like sales manager, area manager, HR manager, warehouse manager making 100-250k a month and even secretaries to top management are in the 80-120k bracket and these are not even people necessarily super high skilled at their job either. Just because the majority of the population is getting ripped off doesn't mean there aren't Thais living well earning good wages on par with the West because let's be honest besides rental, public transportation and gasoline prices not many things in Thailand are cheaper.
Sadly, it is true. Country private schools know exactly that the majority of the teachers they apply have some kind of "limited freedom". This may be originated from lacking education or simply family ties. Not everybody can grab his bag and go to the other county to try his fortune. Yes, I double-checked, my wife, as a teacher earns 14k as a teacher and she has a relatively high salary comparing to the others in this private school.
The number of Thais with high salaries are usually relatives or whatever. Since my 9 years here I have never heard a guy walking in from the street and coming out with a serious wage. There are some, well-paid Thais, but they cannot be considered as an average.

I don't really get this criminal clearance for getting Work Permit. I know some criminals living in Thailand. They are well, they run comfortable life. Their last thought is to apply for a work permit.
The other thing, it will be issued at one place in Thailand. That means that a lot of teachers have to travel to and fro from Sungnai kolok to Chiang Mai, twice to get a sheet of paper, of which usability is really questionable. Land of Smirk ?

IS is a serious threat, but as the other not-too-peaceful religion, it is just a kaftan or cover of the original aim.
