Once I was at a party and the second usual activity was drinking. As many of us came by car I asked some guys if they think they are drunk enough not to drive. I was not happy with the answers. More than 75 % said that no alcohol can affect them, especially in driving. I have no right to say 75% is the average, but 50 percent is more than enough. I travel a lot in the country, but I can count the instances on my hand when I could not see possible drunk drivers on the road.

Hiding ISIS members should not be difficult in countries where 60-95 percent of the population follows the same religion. Most of Thai Muslims are not fighters at all but respect people following the same religion. It is understandable.
Otherwise, if someone asks Thais, does not matter which population from, they will not tell him what is ISIS.

A total of 300,000 baht was missing along with passports and documents.
But the hotel were only obliged to give the victims 5,000 baht in compensation according to the law.
if this law existing or the contract between the guest and the hotel has been concluded clearly states the limit of the responsibility of the hotel, it is the liability of the guest as far as the excess money is concerned. I think his passport and other documents fall under other obligation.
A similar case has happened in Europe and the guest lost at the court.

Whatever it is, it may happen at any beach. Apart from the marine biologists, I think himself could say clearly what hurt him unless it was in the night.
Of course, it needs attention, but I do not believe anybody will do more than a couple of nice, smiling pictures.

Stoned tourists are everywhere on the Earth. I wonder if the number of aggressive, drunk Thais are less then the same of farangs, incl. every one.

Nature cures itself. Not too long time ago Thai waters had sharks and all kinda fish. Then the Chinese population mainly overfished and kill whatever shark fins or similar had.
Thailand waters are getting clearer, despite of all negligence and efforts. This is good.
Some warning signs, nota bene shark nets could help a lot to convince the tourists. I am quite sure, this will never happens. Rocks.....

Longer holidays blamed for more road accidents

Drivers now need to do five hours of training instead of the previous four.
A serious progress, big difference. Sure, it will help to decrease the number of accidents. 55555

Thais like to go in their car and die. Driving here is some kind of Russian roulette. It is called to Thai traffic moral game.

More than 3,000 motorists were found to be driving while drunk on the first of the so-called “seven dangerous days” of the Songkran holiday.
Why did they close their checking in an hour ?:)

No... because the Immigration Police do not police the roads, they police those breaking Immigration Law.
So, your criticism is of the Immigration Police not doing the job of another division?

That is no reason to be half naked when police and other people arrive. As for Tropical, well, I live in Florida, and we certainly have heat and humidity here, but before I answer the door it is at the very least common decency to present oneself a bit better. Now, if the cops broke the door down and surprised the man, well, good riddance to the pedophile.
I think his main crime is not his half-naked appearance

They are not on drugs I would imagine, or even know if they have it until too late. Occurances of HIV related death when in on a full regalia of drugs is very rare unless your strain of HIV becomes immune to your drugs, but then most people on drugs with HIV are more health concious than those not
Does it mean that the whole HIV issue went down to the level of catching a cold? If it is so, this news has no value of information.

3. Story makes no mention if she caught it there after starting work there or if she knew she had it anyway. It may have come as a shock to her too remember.
Does it make any differences?
4. Whilst unpleasant. Nobody often dies from HIV related illnesses these days if they are on drugs and will live a full life.

Not long ago a woman made an accident when she drove to the tracks and the "high-speed train" came. She was making an important phone call.
