  1. Definitely not the same planet as you. I don't support a guy who has 91 and counting indictments against him. Spare me the BS about them being politically motivated, every one of those indictments was determined by a grand jury of Trump's fellow citizens.
  2. One of the factors in military competence is logistics. American proficiency in logistics during the Berlin Airlift came as a stunning shock to the Russians. I have not seen US military logistics first hand. I've seen plenty of logistics at the conferences I attended in the USA, organizers managing the accommodation, catering and transport of anywhere between 10,000 and 50,000 people. I have to say it is one area in which America excels.
  3. Fact checking was not necessary decades ago. While it was common for politicians to exaggerate their position, not many resorted to outright lies. Trump's scrutiny is self-inflicted, no-one lies with the frequency and falsity he manages to achieve. When he gets caught out in a lie, he responds with an ad hominem attack. That may work well for him on the campaign trial. It doesn't seem to be getting much traction in the courts, and he knows it. What innocent person constantly seeks adjournments and delays?
  4. Trump will be picking yes-men and toadies, just like he did last time. The narcissistic side of his personality ensures that, because he can't stand the thought there may be someone in the room who is smarter than him. The ramifications of a weakened US military go far beyond America itself. Be careful what you wish for.
  5. IIRC Trump averaged 21 lies a day during his presidency, according to analysts and fact checkers. He is also losing the plot more frequently in his campaign speeches. I can see my use of a Latin expression went straight through to the wicketkeeper.
  6. My hobby is getting clips from YouTube, editing them to trim the fat, and combining them with others.
  7. In preparation for a return to Australia, I went looking in the main drag of Chiang Rai for a money exchanger. I like to have cash as well as a debit card, belt and braces. The first shop I came to, the employee/proprietor was just locking up, presumably for lunch. What time do you come back? 1 pm ( at 11.30 am ). Do you have Australian dollars? Mai mee. This despite a big sign in the window, listing AUD, among other currencies. I then drove my scooter no more than 50 metres to another exchanger who happily gave me $450 for my Thai baht. How the hell do some of these guys make a living?
  8. If Thais were actually taught financial security etc. there would be unemployment among some of the people higher up the food chain.
  9. How can one forget first place in village idiots? All that moonshine causing fetal alcohol syndrome. Quite weird, they all seem to wear red baseball caps.
  10. The number after Walker may be pure coincidence with your observation, but don't let that get in the way of your apocryphal logic. It probably makes just as much sense as yours, which is like a really big guy having the nickname of Tiny.
  11. America is 7th in literacy, 22nd in science, 27th in math. Some of those illegals are probably better educated than many Trumpers.
  12. I wish you guys would make up your minds (sic), either Biden has lied or he has dementia, you can't have both. Trump killed a couple of hundred thousand Americans during COVID, by lying about it from the get go. Then holding rallies which helped spread it, without masks. You can't figure out how to turn off bold, or resize your font? Try looking at the field above the text panel. Highlight your text, then change on each symbol.
  13. Keep repeating that to yourself, you may eventually believe it. Pity his SOTU address shot the dementia BS down in flames.
  14. Yeah right, it's all a conspiracy against Trump, a beacon of love, kindness and compassion in these troubled times.
  15. I would rather listen to myself than you, IMO you're as mad as a cut snake.
  16. I'd like to understand what you are saying. I cannot. What has putting my life on the line got to do with anything on this thread? Is it sensible to disrespect the military who have protected you? Or your security detail? I'll wager some of the people sworn to protect Trump would cheerfully shoot him, given any excuse to do so. I suppose you think Trump stiffing contractors for cents on the dollar is sensible too. IMO if Trump loses, there will be a bloodbath when the National Guard puts down any attempted sedition by Trump's more deranged supporters. They got off lightly last time.
  17. I buy goods from Smokey Mountain Foods in Bangkok. Sausages, a wide range of pies and hamburgers. Their 1 kg hams are quite good. I am about to give Sausage King in Chiang Mai a try, Cumberland sausage. There's also Makro for Mainland Cheese. As another poster has said, some expat businesses come and go.
  18. I follow what the inside of the fuel flap says. That's what it is there for.
  19. Try reading "An Innocent Man" by John Grisham. It's the true story of Ron Williamson, who was jailed for 11 years until DNA evidence exonerated him. He died a broken man. The prosecutors and police who railroaded him with false evidence kept their jobs.
  20. It's a funny thing about modern cars, they seem to have more and more things to go wrong. I drive an elderly Vios, it does not have ABS, let alone an airbag.

    Rot.

Earth has a rich complement of organisms which would slowly assimilate the feast of food they are presented with. If it is buried near any aquifer, it would present a health risk.
  22. Guys like Dave Allen, Ronnie Barker and Victor Borge could get laughs with nary a swear word. Nowadays, it seems comedians have to swear to make any headway.
  23. Golf, elderly health, kitchen tips. I don't go around filming people. I actually think that's quite rude.
  24. Final post on this thread. The details of my experience have been reported to ScamWatch Australia. UBER EATS may have some questions to answer, coming from a government authority.
  25. I make my own videos for YouTube, as a hobby. I'm not going to post them here, though. Too many haters.
