Air fryers use less electricity than a conventional oven. Smaller cooking volume, cook faster. Mine is the most basic, 200 C fixed temperature. According to the label, 1200 watt. I use mine for cooking protein only. Beef, fish, chicken. gammon ham, pork, sausages and burgers. A meat thermometer tells me when the food is done, anything > 70 C. Cleaning is so easy. I line the tub with aluminium foil, a quick spray of olive oil. Discard the foil after the tub cools down.

You will need to import wines for the next 2-3 years. The smoke taint from the California fires will affect grapes and wine for about that long, assuming you have no more of them. Smoke taint is what makes wines undrinkable. Personally, I have found US wines to be quite insipid, but I am used to Barossa and Rutherglen hearty shiraz.
