what i mean by closed deposit is indeed fixed deposit. immigration want to see the money, USD or THB , sitting in a liquid savings account, as if it is ready to be spent and boost the thai economy.

that is not true. i allways got my deposits. you need to know with whom you are dealing. i allways ask for receipt and check the landlord response. once in a hotel i asked for a receipt after i paid. he told me not now. i said yes now. he said not now. come back in two hours, i came back after two hours, he said again not now. i said - so i check out. no receipt, no stay. the reason for that is security. if the hotel owner / receptionist is cheating you with a receipt, he might very well break into your room.

first, there is no need to rent long term and no need to pay so much. most hotels in phuket are empty and giving huge discounts, check agoda.com second, my advice to you is to leave this condo as soon as you can and never look back. my policy in thailand is zero tolerance for crooks and rude traders. there are so many nice thai business people, that we do not need to suffer from the stupid arrogant ones. if he is cheating you on one deposit he might as well break into you condo. but do not do anything aggresive, no confrontation. just wait for your contract to end, take whatever he gives from your deposits, and never look back.

The reason you might want a thai tax ii.d. is the beurocracy in many other countries that are asking you for your tax i.d. if you want to open a bank account there or just transfer money., in many countries, you cannot do anything on line without providing some tax i.d. number.

problem is that there are many "good" copies that will take time to discover as fakes. that ultra s21 is a jock, but there are many mid range models like a52 and a22 that might work ok, will be sold for full price and will take long time to expose. LAZADA are full of them. when you ask if it is fake, you get funny answers like thumbs up, or no answer at all. this is a real scam that destroy the reputation of the whole site.

if yuo are from the U.S. than why not stick to a U.S. platform? otherwise you can open an account with HSBC hong kong, they offer all sorts of products. in thailand there are'nt many trading opportunities, besides THAI AIRWAYS that might fly back to the air from an allmost bankruptcy price.

Reminds me of...myself !! few weeks ago i was walking near sukhumvit road soi 16, when suddenly i twisted my ankle because of an uneven road blocks. this made me look around and realise in what dirt hole i am walking. the streets are dirty, electricity wires popping out everywhere, dangerous ladyboys and prostitutes in every corner, sex toys and fake viagra stalls every few meters, stuff, and yet very expensive real estate, apartments and condos, sold and rented at top first world prices.

Thai authorities are sure that once restrictions are lifted, 16 millions foreign tourists will flock into the country. they misunderstanding the TCT request. they need to be explained that even if they will remove all restrictions right now, nothing will happan. people are just not sitting and waiting to thailand now. so why won't they just remove all restrictions right now ? one reason : pride !!

it is just a case of inefficient / lazy bank clerks. i tried twice to change my phone / passport number with bangkok bank. in both cases, i had to wait until nothing hapaned, than return to the bank and ask what happaned, than they would apply again for the phone number change with the other branch, than again nothing happaned, than they called the other bank, and there they said some stupid excuses, and than, only than, the numbers changed !!! so what hapans is simply that those bankers see a farang account from another branch, and skip it, because they are too lazy. they know the farang will not come tomorrow to ask what hu ha/ so your best solution is just to try again and again .
