thai businesses are a copy of any trend or fashion that starts in the west, especially UK.

and so they will try to do with the "cashless" trend now, only that they will do it in a messed

and lousy way, just like the PSAS web site (part of the phuket sandbox application) which accepts

cards only - but of course does not work properly, and many cards are declined.

when and if the test and go will return, they will propably follow EU and enforce the third vaccination:

the reason is quite simple - Thailand is now a depressing place because of the strict covid regulations

immigration regulations acctually eased a bit, with IO's more tolerant, but than you find

yourself in a place empty and deserted, so many foreigners are leaving or not coming at all.

why don't you think about TT your money from your thai bank to the EU bank?

carrying cash is suspicious these days and you want your money to stay within the banking system.

i know few cases who received NO REPLY AT ALL

just gone with the wind until their flight date came

that is not true. you have no way how they process them and if they process them at all.

what they promise on their web site is to give an answer within 3-7 days.

they do not even mention if they mean 7 working days.

in my case i was waiting 15 days and....no reply at all !! on both applications !!

later ichecked on CHECK MY STATUS link which seem to work sometimes,and saw no record

of my application (few days before it said "under consideration").

you cannot tell how they work or think.

in my case they simply did not reply at all until i lost my flight.

and yes, i did send a second application and they ignored it too (got the registration

numbers on both requests but no more).

all your advices here are not valid, as you could learn from my post "HORROR STORY OF MY PASS APPLICATION".

the reality is that the PASS application system is broken / corrupt and the applicant will not even get

any email or response to a phone call until the day of his flight departure.

so what to do?

just forget about thailand until they fix it.

 truth is that the sandbox application system is broken. it just does not work.

i had the same problem as yours. was waiting and waiting and waiting until my flight date

arrived and i lost 8000 baht as result of cancellations.

no phone not email worked. second application did not work.

you can read all about it.

at the time i applied, mid december, i even had help from thai people in thailand who

tried to help me complete a payment on PSAS for PCR,but they coluld not do it because THE WEB SITE DOES NOT WORK, as the site support addmited in an email to me.

if you are just coming to a holiday - forget about thailand and take your money elsewhere.

we do not deserve this treatment.

at least we deserve a REJECTION  email , which in my case did not arrive until today.

they simply are too lazy to send REJECT email or to tell you what the hell is their problem

NON SENSE. there is no such thing. IATA has nothing to do with prices.

each airline make his own prices, even i hour before flight.

some airlines will even sell to you cheaper tickets 1 hour before.

it is well known that those magazines are getting payments from the marketing offices

of some countries to publish them as "no.1" for this or that.

singapore is well known to do it in many fields, that is why singapore has the "best students" in the world; the "BEST HOSPITALS" and so on...

i know about one bus line that was cancelled few months ago, during the "third wave".

there was no annuncement or warning, the bus just stopped showing.

but i will not make a fuss about it.

i am surprised to hear that only verified residents of thailand can be car owners .

of course i checked my spam boxes and acctually sent two applications.

but i think i solved now this miscommunication problem.

what happans is that they solved the CHECK YOUR STATUS box , and now

it is possible to see there something.

so that is why they stopped sending "rejected" notifications. they simply

reply on you to "check your status", without telling anything in advance.

what a wonderful service.

those 3000 baht "agent" fee are acctually a bribe, a digital tea money, which makes the whole

process corrupt to the core and unfair for all other visitors, who need to wait too long until they see their flights and hotel bookings lost just because the PASS team is serving "agents" applications first.

1) Confirm Sandbox hotel availability. 

2) Confirm flight availability. 

3) Book Flights 

4) Book Sandbox hotel 

5) Confirm US$50k insurance (extend dates if necessary to match your stay).

6) Get Hotel SHABA Certificate (and reference) 

7) Book and Pay for PCR Tests (using SHABA ref)

8 ) Apply for Thailand Pass submitting insurance, Vaccine certs, Hotel SHABA Cert, PSAS receipt.

previously i received an approval for the SANDBOX , in phuket...not the TEST&GO. but

my flight was cancelled by the airline...that was in early december. and when i applied

again they added the PSAS payment - and all hell broke lose.

my hotel did try hard to pay for me, but on that time, mid december, the problem was

they could not even get to the payment page...from thailand !! and sent to me all the errors photos !!

now i prepared my own TODO list, but on that list mission no. 1 is to pay for the PCR tests.

once this is done, can continue with the rest.

but i am going to take my time now because i need to learn more.

on the meantime i created this post because i believe that some people who can influence

the situation can take note and improve things. many people complain but many

other simply give up on thailand and book their holiday somewhere else, and that

is A HUGE LOSS for thailand, all because of one small failed web site.
