Have you a Plan B for payment ? i.e. a friend with a Credit Card in a different nation or a friend in Thailand who can make payment on your behalf ?
no sir, i do not have PLAN b for payment and not going to activate my international connections just to 4200 baht on , and than file again the application and wait again forever with no response at all just because of a new requirement that was added in the last day without telling nobody about it.

You’ve not heard about the current insurance requirement for travel to Thailand ???
I hope proof of insurance was not also missing from your Thailand Pass application, Scott !! ???
i checked again on the official THAILAND PASS site and it says only 50,000 USD insurance,
nothing is mentioned about new requirement of asymptomatic quarantine cover.

And don't rely on 'agent'.
I had a chat with such agent today on their facebook aq.in.th and asked to provide their PASS service and handle PCR tests payment on my behalf.
They refused to do it. They need ALL documents in good standing to start PASS process.
The PSAS payment system accepts only credit card with 3D-Secure feature and my US cards do not have it yet.
Well, lesson learned. Stay home during pandemic.
very important information. thanks.
it means that for the ones who can't complete a payment on the PSAS site,
an agent can't help.

as i told you, i got APPROVED ONCE, so it means that my insurance was ok.
but now this poster says there is a new requirement, that the insurance will cover assymptomatic quarantine, that is new to me, and i do not want to wait again until my flight is lost to hear about this or any other new requirment

Scott... Please be clear.
Have you attempted to make any payment on the PSAS site at any point since you had problems submitting your Thailand Pass application over two weeks ago ?????
I know you want this thread to be about your anger at the Thailand Pass system and how they did not communicate to inform you your Thailand Pass was not going to be approved because it was incomplete, however...... It would be useful for some to know if those difficulties you encountered with payment have continued.... i.e. have you tried in the past few days and continue to face payment issues with the PSAS site ?
The reason I ask - the PSAS payment issue was documented at the time, it was temporary and has since been resolved (as of 12 days ago) - thus have you tried to make a payment on the PSAS site since then.
I know you want to help and warn people - but we (all) should be warning people and advising people to the best of our knowledge with the most accurate and up to date of information.
i did not try again after my failed attempts. i asked the hotel i booked to try it for me and they aggreed, but it did not work also from them from THAILAND !!
i saw few comments here of people who tried AND FAILED to do the payment on the
PSAS site, one of them is from today. i sent screenshots of those compaints to the support
of the PSAS site, and clarified to them that the problem still exist.
hereby some of those posts:

The worst thing that can happen is positive covid test in Bangkok, rushed off to quarantine and your wallet 50,000 thb lighter.
not really, if he paid for one week ASQ, than he can stay in the hotel and hopefully recover within few days...i think

Very interesting: Agents to deal with/ handle current travel issues. Is there one to sort out all the paperwork for flying from Thailand to Europe?
of course not, because in europe it is a criminal offence to accept tea money.

an Airline requirement for a PCR
THE requirement is only from governments, airlines just follow orders.

1wk hotel ASQ in Bangkok,
ASQ is no problem because all your PCR is included in the price, and all the ASQ are
confirmed very quickly.
our complains here are only about the PHUKET SANDBOX . the problem is with the PSAS site to pay for 2 PCR tests, and from what i hear now agents will not help with that, they will want
to see the PCR receipts before trying to "help" YOU.
-
and more news: a hotel in phuket sent to me today NEW EMAIL and NEW PHONE NUMBERS for the PASS inquiries. will try to post them soon.
-
great news from the international front: UK cancel the requirement for PCR for all incoming
vaccinated travellers.
guess thailand will follow suit soon because, well...this is what thailand do and did - just
follow the british.

you can buy the HDD , use it for 2 years, will work great because it is new.
than you can change to SSD, will cost you (in thai repair shop) around 3000 - 4000 baht. SSD is better in the long
run but when new there is no difference.
i guess my advice here left many people pazzled, so i will try to explain.
this advice is good only in thailand, and only in that particular repair shop i've found.
when changing HDD / SDD all programs / content installed on the computer are lost, incl.
the operating system.
that shop offered to me the replacement for 500 baht, incl. NEW WINDOWS 10 and any other program that i will choose (office, photoshop, ext.). all included in the 500 baht.
i did not had time to ask if those programs are properly licensed because i was too busy and had to run to swensens to drink macademia shake with cream on top, but i trust the technician to take care for all neccasry beurocratic requirements.

Did you apply with complete documentation or was your PSAS receipt missing ????
You must have known there was a problem if your documents were incomplete.
They will not process an incomplete application - its awful of them not to communicate this to you.
But.... thats in the past.
IF you want to get into Thailand you have to comply with the requirements.
Re-apply, submitting all required documents.
No... they ‘did it’ because your submission was incomplete - in your ‘other threads’ you mentioned that you could not pay for the PSAS PCR booking.
Because you have been found technically wanting and have clearly struggled through the application / payment process. You have also become very upset, for people like you perhaps using an agent is the simplest and most stress free solution.
Can you simply change the flight dates - or have you lost the flight due to a no-show ?
Did you cancel the hotel or apply to them for a date change? they may be considerate.
You can add an extra few weeks onto your insurance - shouldn’t be an issue.
i thank you for your adviced and believe you truly want to help.
but please understand that i created this post to raise awareness to the problem.
there might be many reasons for an application to get rejected, but there is absolutely
NO REASON IN THE WORLD to give NO ANSWER AT ALL.
the worst part is that they DID NOT GIVE ANY ANSWER AT ALL until my flight date arrived.
this is just nasty abuse of their power.
and by the way, i DID GET APPROVED FOR THE PASS in the past, in early december !!
but my flght was cancelled than i had to apply again than they added the 2nd PCR test.
so i DID MANAGE TO GET ONE PASS in the past..but hey, it does not have to be that hard !!
we are just people trying to travel to thailand !! if thailand does not want now travellers
they should SAY SO CLEARLY and not play stupid games like the silent treatment !!
we are not in high school anymore !!!
-
today i got email from the PSAS support (the PCR payment site), saying he is "leally solly"...so i sent back to him few posts of other people complaining that they could not pay, and clarified that the problem still exist.

You can write to the local or nearest consular section of the Thai embassy and they should help you out. Don’t forget to send a copy of your registration .
good luck!
i did wrote them and they said they have nothing to do with PASS, it is all controlled from
thailand, unlike the COE. That is why all the abuse of the system by those so called agents

I was not going to mention this as it appears it's too late, but there is/was an email to send to and inquire. Supposed to wait 5 days before sending. I emailed after 4 days and received the TP later that day. This was back in early December however.
I think I emailed to here - [email protected]
I am still trying to figure out if I can enter on Jan 9.
if you have the QR pass than yes, you can enter.
that support email did work indeed in the negining of december, i also got a reply, but
later all communication with them stopped.

Perhaps the Op has a ‘friend’ in Thailand who can make payment with a domestic (Thai) card?....
I doubt all the possible options and solutions have been explored, but the Op seems far more intent on venting his understandable frustration than putting that aside and working towards a solution.
yes, i can also give myself now all kind of logical advices, but you ignore
one important factor here: TIME.
there was no way i could know about my problem until it was too late.
as the time passed, the PASS team did not communicate with me in any way, nor answered any phone
calls or emails, and did not give their answer in the promised time. so there was no way i could even know that there is a problem
as the time passed the date of my flight approached and...
maybe they did it because they want me to use an agent, who propably share with them
some tea money? hmmmm....maybe...
and how come so many posters apeare here all of a sudden , reccomending me to take an agent and how fast is the agent and what is your problem just take an agent...????
so i can use an agent now, but now i will have again to book - and pay - for another flight and hotel and insurance and than who knows what will be the result.
so i am feeling kind of tired from all this and need to relax with a tropical cocktail on some tropical beach to think it all over, but that beach is not going to be in thailand

it's mind boggling why everything was left so last minute.....
you propably did not notice that i sent my application 15 DAYS AGO.
but i got NO REPLY AT ALL !!
so nothing was left for the last minute....but if they break all communication, than
there is no way you can tell what is happaning, until it is too late !!

Book a SHA hotel where the price of testing is included as well as airport pick up.
I sent that through.and had the pass in less than 1 hour.
i did contact few SHA+ hotels and they all told me to pay the PCR myself on PSAS.
the option to book a hotel with the PCR is not available anymore.

I am worried because I was not asked to upload the receipt for the tests when I applied. I have the receipt from PSAS with no problems. I received the confirmation code and email for the pass. Their information page makes no mention of providing receipts for tests
your application will be rejected and you will know it too late, if they will reply to you at all.
this is what happaned to me.
one option is to send the application again, with same email, and this time with the receipts

I tried Visa and MC a few times without success.
Then I contacted support at [email protected] and after going back and forth with them got this message:
Can your card issuer accept the 3DS system (One time password to payment ) ?
Because now this merchant accept only the 3DS system. Please contact your card issuer to check or change to be another card that can accept the 3DS system.
Isn't that amazing?
it is indeed freaking amazing. andnothing funny about it.
this failed web site acctually blocks all travel to thailand.

Horror story of my THAILAND PASS application
in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
Posted
as i mentioned here before, the "horror" in my story is the silent treatment i got from
the PASS system. this is not robotic, it is human, humans decided to pay me with NO RESPONSE at all.
however, today i got from my hotel NEW PHONE NUMBERS AND EMAIL for the PASS support,
this changes everything - that is, if someone there will answer.
otherwise, there is no point to keep on sending applications and wait for no response at all for who knows how long. this is not a game. many other bookings are involved.
i lost 8000 baht because of this, can't do it again at the moment.
first i will try to call those new numbers and ask the email about my last application.
if they will come with some answer - any answer - than i can try again.
