  1. At 5' 8.5" I wouldn't know, but needing a Thai xxl or xxxl shirt size certainly cuts down my choices in the malls. And shorts with an elastic insert at the back are snapped up quickly!
  2. As far as I am aware, you must make sure that your health insurance will cover you from the start until the expiry date of your visa, and that will be examined when it is being issued. But different embassies are VERY likely to have different views on the application of regulations. Better to get expert advice from visa specialists (they have websites for contact details). As someone else has said, you will need to show them your cover certificate before they will issue your visa. Good luck.
  3. Speechless?... This was one of the few of his scribblings I read from end to end as it was all interesting (I thought). Usually I just dip in.
  4. Some people understand that a polite and friendly word can lighten someone's day. I often (not always, I admit) greet someone I don't know behind a desk or counter by asking how they are, in English or sometimes in my awful Thai. ????
  5. I've never even commented on threads or tape, I think you're a bit deluded. And I've spent time in Home Pro trying different size bends with different pipe because the bends and tees are not labelled and often get mixed in the bins. Perhaps given a few years you might come up with the notion that not all stores adhere to the same procedure. But I have a feeling possibly not. Have a great evening.
  6. No. You crack me up. In Home Pro I have never seen pipe individually labelled like this.
  7. Well clearly you don't buy your plastic pipe and pipe reducers in Home Pro.
  8. Hi. A polite question and not meant to cause offence, do you live in Thailand? Plastic piping/joints may be BS or metric, and in my experience it's usually impossible to know which you're buying. The idea of tapered threads sounds like something from another planet. ????
  9. Well said. He is obviously proud to represent his country, and to go above and beyond in his duties. As someone else here already said, he puts the actual failing Embassy in BKK in the shade.
  10. I'm not sure why a couple of probably Chang-sodden individuals posted a confused emoticon on your comment, your feeling is shared by me too, and I see by others. It's nice to be reminded that Thailand does of course have people who can organise the proverbial PU in the proverbial brewery. I see someone has replied already naming some individuals and organisations responsible for the eventual swift rollout.
