  1. Forget that other stuff, head straight for the Sukhumvit at Trat, once you get there follow it south, it narrows and follows the beach. Bloody beautiful views and beaches, continue driving to the border and cross onto Cambodia if you have time. I've done this trip a few times from Pattaya on my motorbikes, great adventure.
  2. It's only noisy between 2am and 5am, now that the Juristic management allow daily, Airbnb renters, all the drunks from walking street arguing, fighting, girls jumping in the pool fully clothed urinating, it's like a bloody hotel from hell. I'm on the ground floor, opposite swimming pool, near to the entrance, most of these idiots walk past my condo. I'm lucky, I don't sleep there too often.
  3. Oh dear, out they come. Thai bashers, go easy please. I reckon we've all embarrassed ourselves once or twice while being drunk.
  4. I worked for a while down in Songkla, on an offshore drilling rig. The Thai's that work offshore are hard working and fun to be around, being their supervisor I was always well respected. The boys from the region, Songkla, Nakhon Si Thammarat are tough as nails. The flight to Hat Yai is only an hour then a short journey to Songkla, sleep at the hotel before next morning chopper flight. I did prefer working in Vung Tau, 20 years ago when the hydra foil was operating from Saigon (Ho Chi Minh City). Only an hour flight from BKK then an hour or two on the ship that had a bar on board, had the worst hangovers coming home when working Vietnam, 4 weeks without a drink. I worked same hitch as the OIM, he lived Vung Tau, his wife would always have an esky full of cold beers to take to the jetty, waiting to board the ship, then sat at the bar for the trip to HMC
  5. Visitors can take part in the ‘Welcome Back to Thailand’ campaign by making travel arrangements for Thailand with the TAT’s partners in Asia and the South Pacific. They will receive a QR code to redeem a free SIM card at AIS shop at airports in Bangkok (Suvarnabhumi and Don Mueang), Chiang Mai, Chiang Rai, Phuket, and Samui.
  6. You got to watch out for those Dodgy Thai-Italian men. How is half this and that measured? 🤔
  7. I forgot to say... I hope you make a full recovery and you are back on your bike soon. Nothing better than riding your bike down the road on a beautiful day, it takes away the stress of life's day to day challenges.
  8. Lots of weirdos here mate. Back in the day (when their names were attached to the emoji's), I had a guy giving me a confused emoji on every comment I made and another guy giving me a sad. Over the many years I've probably only dealt out a hand full of sad and confused emoji's (in retaliation) but I reckon I've earned the most of these stupid sad and confused emoji's.
  9. Try to be more careful next time. Last year, I was in the gym and some guy brushed past this steroid freak, omg, the crazy steroid guy lost it, bashed him senseless. Road rage is too common, too many idiots on our roads. Always take care out there, I have a habit these days, for Thais, I give way to everyone, never sound the horn (that antagonizes drivers) unless it's a safety issue. I see lots of mean complaining foreigners on our roads these days, these foreigners should be careful, as can be shown above the Thais will use their vehicles as a weapon, some carry firearms and will shoot you dead without hesitation.
  10. Wow, he's escaped from the looney bin, still wearing his issued clothing.
  11. Never going to happen. Some members were born complaining.
  12. Over the years these stupid smileys, loves and likes etc have seen many changes. I bet these are a nightmare for Admin to manage.
  13. This guy is looking for a junkyard for his MG.
  14. I'm not fussed. If you asked most hated 1. Members complaining, the whinging, whiners, moaning about Thailand 2. Thai politics.
  15. Yes, this photo had me baffled. Domestic flight from DMK, aeroplane with 4 engines. Nope
  16. I just keep the speed down going past the frail, petite and young, these riders are easily identified. I live in Pattaya, I see lots of idiots racing down soi Buakhao on their bikes. I avoid these built up areas, I prefer to show of on the highways and rural roads. If I lived in Bangkok I probably wouldn't own a big bike. I don't ride long distances on my Ducati's, down through Sattahip and Rayong mainly, at times along the beach roads, along Bang Sare etc.
  17. Yes, I agree to a point but my original Diavel exhaust was the weight of a fridge (bloody heavy), a slip on exhaust reduces the weight, reduced weight improves handling and 0-100km/h times.
  18. My Termignoni's give my 1262cc engine an additional 15% horsepower, creeping up around 200hp. I'm a show off, I mostly cruise the highways and coastal/country roads doing the speed limit, at times (when safe) I open her up and pull away from the traffic at a set of lights, the loud exhaust note is awesome, music to the ears. I never race past the elderly or females, I'm not a bully, I care for other road users and hate those noisy bikes that race past female riders, these girls scare easy. In Australia my cars, mostly V8's had dual exhausts with extractors/headers, loved the sound.
  19. I prefer to ride my Ducati early mornings but I've got Termignoni's with dB killers removed. I'd be waking up the neighborhood.
  20. I just saw a message from AN Admin saying maintenance is complete, data centre moved to a faster network.
  21. I've got a few vehicles. I own a Fortuner and 3 motorbikes, PCX, Diavel and Xdiavel. I ride my PCX the most, easy parking, maneuver ability etc., Fortuner I hate driving (I don't like driving any car). Riding my Ducati's have to wait for the right moment, late afternoon, no rain, home before dark. I enjoy riding my Ducati's most but the window of opportunities are limited. Boring, nerdy, snowflake guys just don't understand us bikers.
  22. Are we talking about the 'OnlyFans' participants? 👀
