Of course common sense can not be legislated,  but perhaps appropriate value to life and the wellbeing of others could be better than it is.

It seems it would be very easy to enforce underage children from riding motos but for some reason very little is being done. I saw

a little guy had to stand (fina type) to reach the handle bars.

I dont know what the thinking is about this. First of all don’t leave the keys in the moto. Wife bought seems like a used 50cc for MNL

she’s been riding a bicycle selling vegetables from her garden everyday.

Asked the relatives if we wanted to make a friendly wager (no money) if the 10 year old would talk grandma into driving it.

One day after it was here the keys were left in and he was trying

to start it... it didn’t figure out it’s a kick start.

    very unsafe

  3. This happens quite frequently in China held up for late passengers

for whatever reason. There are many flight delays in general especially where I lived Xiamen when the Chinese military closed air space for practice etc. Xiamen is a 45 minute boat ride to Jinmen (Kinmen)Taiwan.

The easy way to lesson this from happening close the door as stated in check in 20 minutes before flight. It might despcrease those who think they are privileged to be on time.

HUGE signs say facing each other across the Taiwan straits article attached. I reckon translated to English would be <deleted> and <deleted> to...

i always tried to be calm calm and not make a fuss but every once in awhile I sparked up. Long line at check in. Well dressed and looked like he had money went to front of line. I politely got out

of line and said see the line get at the back. He didn’t like it...

    but he went the back.

  4.  Do you have a IDL and a valid DL from your home country (also depends what country) depends on your country. Just Incase you

have to start over (keeps you from taking written and driving test) but yiu still have to take the braking and the other wacky test don’t know what it’s called. I had to go look at it to figure out what it was for. you’ll need a health certificate.

i just went from a 2 year to 5 year no health certificate needed.

Best of luck and and hope you have a good local DLT. I had to go to Udon Thani (Good English speaking) which was better than the Kumphawapi office ( No English).

I have always been treated nicely by Americans if their flight was late. I know everyone likes to bash American Airline companies

That was probably a rare occasion. I’m a Million miles + with an airline and yes plenty of perks, but some things like calling to book a reservation they charge a fee. If you need to change a flight say push the date out you need to hope the person on the other end

of the line has enough experience to know the go arounds that will

    save you money.

It may have been in that instance the airline over booked and they were happy;the people showed up late. One airline if over booked will ask for volunteers offering something in the way of miles.

Car races flights seem to be over booked. I was on business but was hoping to be asked they gave some good perks 1,000 USD ticket for future use.

Not actual cash but the value

  6. Insurance - A Farang Friend of mine died not long ago and they had what I’d guess is burial insurance that footed most the cost. Thought it was a bit hokey at the beginning of the ceremony the insurance company handed the wife a big sign that was like 50,000 baht.

No idea what the cost was. I asked but didn’t hear anything....

    But

Well you stress about money now you’d be in the deep end and their job is to milk every penny from you (not all) but most.

Never been to a Go Go Bar try finding one on YouTube. If money is a concern best to make it something you’ll dream about... walk in check it out.

what ever you do DO NOT pull the rope to ring the bell..... if you do you’ll be on the hook for one drink all the go go girls and possibly the customer. I did it and luckily only 10 people in all. Won’t ever do it again.

Be very very very careful if you don’t drink much a few little of their ass wiggles convinces to drink more. You’ll wake up trying what happen to all your money.. No absolutely not they will not steal from you. You’ll be in a state of mind to happy fill the kitty jar.

Limit yourself take 2,000 baht and nothing more check it out and see how it goes, make sure yiu don’t order anything you can pay

    for right then.

Best if luck and love to hear your story in a few days.

Ohhh beware if your GF finds out it might be hell to pay..

Monday is a national day off because the holiday falls on a weekend.

How many holidays is there a year. A day off for a holiday that falls

on a weekend. As someone mentioned earlier school 2 days? Then a holiday.

Yes many countries do such but every other day up here in the NE is a holiday. Maybe do like the Chinese if given an extra day holiday then you have to work on Sunday the next week,

NE education level is unfortunately low. Village concerts every other day..... (not quite but close) with underage children way over the alcohol limit... oh wait their not supposed to be drinking.

Has anyone obtained health insurance within Thailand? If so, did you have to provide your medical records from your home country or was a medical examination re

I inquired and was told under a certain age no medical over

age medical required. That they could insure probably without

heart coverage will send quote in a couple days. Next day uninsurable.

  11. Stick with the uniforms 1 style for every schools day. Have the government subsidize for low Income families or contract with

    manufactures for set low price.

The problem with wearing clothes they have at home. Without Uniforms less fortunate children will most likely be picked on.

i went to school in East LA and we wore clothes from home. We

wete OK but some kids family couldn’t afford even basic clothing

theyd buy from second hand stores. Trying to learn and being picked at probably causes a lot to drop out of school.

With no dress code you could see people with durags in there back pocket.
