  1. OP guess it would be up to the IO office you use. My personal experience was unacceptable.

Had 10 months and 1 month was total of 2 months baht deposit. Month got skipped because

I changed banks and the direct deposit took longer than expected  to change bank.

IO said understand and the total for year was well over amount required But it only showed 11

FTT deposits and must be 12. So logic didn’t work after explaining to three different rank and file.

Let's hope they push threw a bill that cuts SS benefits for all US citizens retiring here.  After 6 months here 1/3 lost and all medical back home lost.

It is a long time in coming.  I will vote for any politition that pushes this.

After the first year they will have to live in the US for one year before any benefits restored.

Guess there’s a reason for some peoples ugliness….

  4. OP … Not only Thailand.. ..China and probably many other countries with Universal health plans that don’t bankrupt the patient making it less painful to visit the hospital and probably less expensive than

    a clinic.

I’ve gone to hospital in China when I had a nasty cold flu first thing they want to do is put an IV in you… and I said just give me some medicine and I got over it.

if no insurance in US Dr. office fee can be $100-125 just to get in..
