Ah the Tilac gogo has happy memories for me from before it went glitzy and horrid, back when the farang owner and his mates played cards or something while the bikini clad dancers shuffled above them. One could actually have a conversation and the music was pleasant back then.
My first long time BG experience was with a girl from there and my 4 year relationship was with a girl from there. Happy days back then when there really was a Thai smile.
However, everything ends and I discovered paradise on Soi 4. Then things got even better.
Soi 4?

Good news for the local economy! at least they have stopped the hyperbole - money coming into Thailand helps Thais!

Like I said
Direct from a Ukrainian gov and charity website:
In addition, the restrictions do not apply to people:
who has three or more children under the age of 18, or who are raising a child (children) under the age of 18 on their own, or who has a child with a disability.
and what? it changes nothing they are barred from leaving - no more comment from me - you are blind and incapable of seeing. Goodbye.

This isn't about Ukranine conscription and no, you're wrong again, they do allow conscription age men to leave if they have children to look after.
"All" opposition parties are not banned either, those that have been banned are pro-Russian political parties that engage in anti-Ukrainian activities
Time for you to start substantiating your posts because you're spreading false info.

Bad humour on my part I'm not that callous. But I have chosen not to have any permanent partner here and I am open and honest about that - happy to support a little when required. Each to his own - good luck.

I think this is sensible I'm going to stop too - they don't want any alternative view or debate - closed minds to truth. My last comment on this thread.

Why buy when you can rent? no point coming here then having a farang wife or GF is there? Thailand is a playground - enjoy it!

The draft.
The war is a nightmare but we need much more data before you all assume thousands are coming to Thailand. I see far more Chinese than Russians here.

You said draft dodging wasn't a thing.
Of course it's a thing.
In Ukraine they are conscripting by FORCE no men between the ages of 16 and 60 are allowed to leave. They take them off the streets. ALL opposition political parties are banned - that doesn't concern you?

It's a real pain but it's PayPal's fault as they chose the ID method in Thailand.

What visa would they get in Thailand if they are young enough to be conscripted?
Ok good point but where is the evidence that Russians over 50 are 'fleeing' to get retirement visas here? there is no data to support this, so far, just noise. The photos with the articles are 20 or 30 somethings.

Conscription.
The few that have fled can never go back because they will be arrested. It's true some have fled but not that many and certainly not ones like the pretty girls in this article.
What visa would they get in Thailand if they are young enough to be conscripted? they would only get tourists visas then where will they go? it's nonsense.- 1

Neither - it is a fact - something you know little about obviously. If they are draft dodgers they can never return to Russia - fleeing what? you have not seen the huge rallies in Russia supporting the campaign because no one reports them. Did you know there have been huge rallies in France and Germany this weekend - no because YOU are uninformed not me.

Russian tourists are fleeing to Thailand to escape the war in Ukraine or look to move to the Southeast Asian country.
Thailand has become a haven for Russian visitors who are looking to escape Moscow’s war in Ukraine that has now entered its second year.
Visitors are in Thailand but are they fleeing Russia too. Now thousands of Russians are looking for a new home, fearing economic woes in Russia and a military draft because of the Kremlin’s war in Ukraine.

Funny - fleeing the draft? you think they won't be arrested if they go back? and they have Thai long term visas if they are of draft age? you need to think a bit before posting.
