If you are not in a hurry wait for the toyota rush coming soon or the mitsubishi expander, that might suits your needs.

Thanks but they are both too big. If I had the choice I love the old Vitaras, Rav 4 etc.  A nice, small, compact 4WD  SHORT jeep-like thing is ideal for me but there is nothing like that here and import duties are murderous.

A bit of jail time.. I hope that he sees at least some jailtime. Use all the drugs you want alcohol and others (i dont care their body).. just don't operate a vehicle while under the influence. Those who drink and drive especially those who kill someone should really face jail-time.

Seems perfectly normal for some people to drink and drive here.

Exactly!  I book into a hotel every-time i go out and get plastered.  NO excuses but even the hotel, who now know me,  think it's amazing as they have never had that before. I'd rather pay the 1300 a night and be safe and sound. First thing before going out?  car keys in the hotel SAFE.

RiP what did she do to deserve this guys utter selfishness?  nothing.

I had a Nissan Juke the last 2 years.  Not a bad car.  When I saw the new Toyota CHR I knew I had to go check it out.  Test drive and it is a great car.  Smooth ride.  I decided to buy one.  I chose the Mid 1.8L because I do not need a Hybrid.  It can run on E85 so the cost of driving is good.  You can not really compare the Ford  to the CHR.  The CHR is more of a sport crossover than the others on the market like Honda HRV, Mazda.  Depends on what you like in the end.  I am completely satisfied with the CHR.  Looks and performance.

I have a Juke and really don't like it. After the novelty has worn off I prefer normal door handles and it has little power IMHO.  I'm still tossing and turning over CHR.

Try the MG GS model.  Less toys but the 1M baht 1.5L turbo has reasonable power, (165hp) and 7 speed dual clutch trans.

The ZS 114hp 1.5L engine and 4sp auto are pretty poor in comparison.

    or the 2.0? (218 hp)  the 4 WD version @  1.3m looks a possibility.

?  I think the C-HR Design Director should have said "jai yen, jai yen" to the team.  The brief seems to have been "include every design feature of every car built in the last 5 years".  It's like a four wheeled Yamaha Aerox.  But it's different and striking, so if you like the design - it's probably the best of the current small SUV crop.  CX3 and 5 look great - but small inside, and I think the OP wanted small exterior and practical interior - and that's the H-RV.

Yes the HRV does look nice but, and I don't know why, but I just don't like Hondas. Maybe I just need to get over this bias  lol.

The C-HR is a new design body ok! But the engine technology is over 10 years old (out of date) same engines used from same as corrolla before? typical  of Toyota - where are the latest engines designs/updates? never happens!

I do like the Hybrid bit of the C-HR I must say. I guess it's the eco-friendly electric car part in most of us but that can't be 10 years old surely?

Maddog will close and move to a new location.  The English owner is planning on re-opening and is actively looking for a suitable location.  The only remaining question is the actual date the current location will close its door.  Spotlight is still the best Go Go bar in Chiang Mai, even at the new location.  The layout is OK but is a far cryfrom the original site.  Not to my liking as the oval shape bar is not at the new location.  The talent level however is still the same, top shelf stuff.

I wondered where that had gone. It's moved huh?

What a vile disgusting thing to say.

If he is made quadriplegic, what about the innocent people who have to tend to his needs?

I agree kill him.  What a tragedy that poor girl loses her life to this SCUM and then he fails even to kill himself. If I could get away with it I'd happily kick that chair and see him hang. He his beyond ANY redemption. RiP that beautiful young girl.

Western countries do the same thing ☹️.

It's horrifying, and many years in the future (possibly centuries) will be seen as barbaric as it actually is.

Edit - Our definition of 'civilised' changes over the centuries, so I'm pretty sure that farming animals for food will be considered as barbaric as fox hunting/dog or cock fighting in the future, along with 'farming' animals to kill them...

We're 'supposed' to be the 'superior' species??!! LOL....

I agree. Although western countries have much stricter laws on how they slaughter and they really treat animals abysmally here and in other Asian countries. It's the hypocrisy I hate

"the realistic expectation that such things are meant to be"

Who say's?  it is not 'meant to be' and those Thai bleeding hearts need to stop being so hypocritical.  There is nothing more nauseating than someone claiming to be an 'animal lover' and killing them by proxy to eat.

Seriously: I've got every episode downloaded, but I confess I can't remember which episode it was......another excuse to start watching them all again! It would have been a reaction by Walker to one of Corporal Jones' reminiscences about the Battle of Omdurman or long forgotten battle!

Just teasing you a bit  ?  it was a great series

'1900 and Frozen Stiff' was a phrase coined by Pte Walker in the British TV comedy Dad's Army to describe an indeterminate time in the distant past.  I hope that clarifies things for you!!

Really?  even after an extensive Google search (Googled the phrase, Dads Army, Pvt Walker).  I can't find it so it can't be very well known and certainly not in common use. Anyway thanks for the enlightenment (sort of).
