You miss the point... the government is forcing thousands of Thai to stay abroad,  risk overstay, need for expensive hotels and meals,  unable to get home...

And furthermore.. who decides about priorities for repatriation... let's say Thai airways has to fly to 15 countries for repatriation... each country with 600 Thai wanting to get home.. worstcase a Thai citizen will have to wait 15x3 days.. equals 45 days stranded abroad by their government...

They wont be on overstay, most countries if not all , will have a visa amnesty.

So for people on retirement or marriage visas, they can add 30 days to what ever permission to stay date they have now.

They also dont need to do 90 day reports if due in the next 30 days?

Looks like it. Id wait to see the official announcement first.

Agree particularly for the young ones. Also some families with multiple children will need to buy extra IT equipment so hopefully a reduction in school fees will help compensate.

Yep, its really difficult with young kids and teaching them online, they dont have the attention span to sit there for long enough.

Been there done that. Not again. Thanks

  4. Mine was open today in isaan. I believe the post office is a part of essential services.

I dont think they are doing international post or its limited.

But i think national post is fine.

"On Monday it was reported that immigration will propose to the cabinet that foreigners who arrived in Thailand after 26 March will automatically have their visas renewed for a further 30 days."

Foreigners who have arrived after 26 March should not have come here under any circumstances.

I think they have it wrong somewhere, i believe it should be, who have already extended their visas after march 26th.

Thatss what a post said the other day.

essential yes but in this day and age a lot of that can be done from home office

Very true, i work from home. Have done for the past 3 years. No need for an office.

Maybe they dont have the equipment needed to complete tasks at home.

Or maybe they are being forced to work.

There is a cabinet meeting every Tuesday according to reports online, with this topic due to be finalised today, so there will hopefully be clarification of where this will stand, either tonight or tomorrow.

Hopefully, they must of come to an agreement and finalized it by now.

    Its been too long.

All the neighbouring countries and countries around the world have already implimented something weeks ago.
