  1. Sorry Lorin - your nickname did make me assume you were a female :o

Lorin & fm2002 - check your pm for his contact details.

fm2002, I don't know what time you train but he's usually there every morning (except when he's off racing motobikes) from about 6.30 - 8am when he trains, but sometimes he's back in there later in the afternoons if he has to train any clients, so you may have even seen him in there.... he's not too hard to miss with half his body covered in tattoos, shaved head and a serious look on his face, but he's actually really friendly and easy to talk to. :D

Thank you Di, I got the information.

  2. Thank you very much for your answer. Maybe my nickname is confusing, but I'm a male..:D Thus I will be interested to get more info regarding your husband training. Could you please provide me with contact details. Thanks again !

I'm looking for professional personal trainer, foreigner with good recommendations to bring me back to shape towards August. Preferably in Pattaya area, but I would consider Bangkok as well. Please post here or PM me. Thanks in advance.

I know of 2 such trainers in Pattaya, although you would have to be a member of Fairtex (Sports Complex) to work with them.

If you want a female trainers, there is a trainer called Suzanne who is good, and works with a few women there. She's actually a muaythai instructor, but from what I've seen in the gym and her training clients, she actually looks like a good pt. Plus she looks like a personal trainer - great body. It's also hard to miss her - clearly the tallest girl at fairtex with model looks.

Not to sure about her knowledge about nutrition - which is actually more important than you think. Nothing worse than a personal trainer who looks like shit and thinks they know everything just because they've done some course to become a "personal trainer".

The other trainer is actually my husband. While he doesn't work at Fairtex (or anyone for that fact), he will do personal training but only for guests/members of Fairtex in Pattaya. As for experience, he's a multi Australian Bodybuilding Champion and Mr.Universe, trainer & advisor of numerous australian (as well as a number of thai and other international competitors), international bodybuilding and female bb & figure champions (including myself :o ). He also does a lot of work with athletes from different sports in regards to nutrition.

Normally I only recommend female trainers for females only because male trainers will train female clients like men, but Shane is actually one of the few males than know how to train women. He also tells things like it is, so if you ask for an opinion - be prepared for the truth (if you don't want an honest opinion - do not ask Shane). He also prefers that clients to LEARN how to train themselves and not to rely on a personal trainer long term. A trainer can teach and advise you only so much, but it is up to the client to put what they learn into practice and make necessary lifestyle changes (the nutritional side) into practice. He says that money is best spent on those things to help you make these changes (gym membership/food/supps/etc) rather than paying a personal trainer long term.

  3. Scene at dinner table, anywhere in Thailand, tonight:

LEK: Mommy, what is a hub?

    MAA: Arai nah?

LEK: Hub, is English word, big puu-yai on TV says Thailand has softwah hub.

    SOMCHAI: Pass the somtam, khrap.

BOOM: Little sister is right. Man says we have new hub in Khon Kaen.

MAA: I know hub. Is center of wheel, like mak wheel hub.

SOMCHAI: Puu-yai is baa. This food is very spicy.

    LEK: What is softwah?

MAA: Soft means your father's kuay after he drinks whiskey.

SOMCHAI: Your jim is not soft. This sticky rice very sticky.

BOOM: Kojai. Thailand has hub for kuay and jim.

    ROFL ........ kuay nim :o

    Waerth

    Hahaha, sounds pretty real..:D

  4. Exactly. Its a battle that will never be won. Why on earth Governments even bother beats me. If people choose to kill themselves taking drugs or risk serious harm why not legalise it and educate them , give them the choice, and then let them get on with it.?

Until you have lost loved ones to illegal drugs, you will continue to think that way.

Singapore is a prime example of an Asian country which has WON the war on drugs - because they have an honest police force and judiciary.

I doubt that Thailand will ever (at least in my lifetime) win the war because of its crooked police.

    Peter

Please explain to me how exactly they won the war on drugs? Last time I been to Zeouk Open party in Sentosa and every party for the last 3 years, big number of 20000 ppl attending was clearly high...:-0 Seems to me in that war is no winners, only losers.

  5. It was pretty dead last nite, especially at Walking Street, only one place had a live band music and sold beer in "sprite cans". Only one bar was opened on soi 7 as well. That brings me grim thoughts about next weekend..:-( At least Beach road was full on gals, ended picking up few there..:-)

Don't worry it will be only Saturday night...so you can prepare on Friday.

    Picking up a few....hmmm :o

I been driving with friend in the car, boring to go alone, so we needed a few..:-)

  7. Cambodia is sooooooooo cheap, rooms from $US2-00 a nite

    http://www.hostelworld.com/findabed.php

Word of advice, take lotsa small US notes, make sure you spend any Cambodian money you get in change. No use once you leave, hence, small bills.

Nutha thing, if you go to Siem Reap to visit Ankor Wat.

DO NOT be conned into a multi day pass.

Get up early, bargain with Scooter cum tuk tuk driver for the whole day.

I paid $US15.00, he was great, took me where i wished to go, and more. All in a day, was great.

Book into a place close to market area where all the bars and cafes are.

    Phnom Penh is similarly cheap.

I do not know how you are travelling Siem Reap, I went by bus, via Aran Poipet (???)......Neva again.........LOL

OK on Thai side, but once in Cambodia the road is just 100s miles of potholes.......and dust.

If you go thru Phnom Phen, try the boat trip one way, to Siem Reap, something different....... if it is wet, dunno, but sunny day, it is a great adventure. You go thru' Lake Tonie Pattie, a real eye opener when you see the conditions and how the people live.

Not sure, but only Bangkok Airways had rights to fly direct to Siem Reap, from BKK.

    May have changed, dunno.

    Cheers matey, good luck.

We gonna fly from BKK-REP-PNH-BKK, no time for buses etc. Anything esle to see in Siem Rip except temples? Is that tuk tuk you took from whole day is good for 3 passengers?

  8. Well here is a bad one, did a Sunday morning clean at Home Works on Suk next to the new Big C no one there just me, they missed half of it.. not worth complaining but will avoid it from now. Don't see them lasting long

Agree with you, washed my car there few days ago, took 45 minutes and job done so so, the only bright part, their manager/receptionist gal is very cute..:-)
