  1. Dunno 7000 maybe ?

This reminds me of the Rolls Royce salemans when asked by someone in the showroom, how many miles does it do to the gallon, he replied " If you have to ask something like that you can't afford it ". :D

I have the car, just needed to send money to my employee's bank. Actually its about 3700. And please, refrain from "smart comments" in the future. Silence is golden.

  2. look on craigslist for apartments.

I was told that i will need to show some legal papers in order to rent apartment in US, and my only option as a tourist is to rent with a room mate, is it true?

LA has the highest concentration of Thai people outside of Thailand so that should be a help. I think your main problem will be boredom. The USA has it's pluses but it will never be as invigorating as Thailand.

Yes, my ex gf living there as well, but she is married, and some friend around, but i will try to keep myself busy and find likeminded people for sport and other activities. The thing that I learned from visiting Miami before, that ppl tend not to go out at night time, very unlike Thailand.

  3. It depends how young and handsome you are. If you are over 40 then you can forget women entirely, and what IS available you wouldn't want anyway. You get spoiled that way in Thailand. It also depends on your financial situation. Food and accommodation will be MUCH higher in the USA, but if you buy anything other than cheap, Asian cotton goods then it will be cheaper. Vehicles are much cheaper but repair work will be much more. Anything in the service industry is much more expensive than Thailand.

And, you can't buy off the police for a minor traffic infraction. You'll pay at least 10 times as much for a simple offence.

I'm 35, what you mean it depends on my financial situation? Nice car and condo will get me more girls? I dont like Thai food and every time I spend lots in Villa Market on the foods that anyway imported from US, so same food should be cheaper there? Regarding accommodation, what I can get in LA for 1500 USD? I wont play games with police there, I know it from my home country, I will be a good boy..:-)

  4. I am planning to live in Los Angeles for few months this coming summer. I been living in Thailand for the past 8 years, so I am sure its gonna be very different in US. I own online business so wont need a work there, just explore California, gym, tennis, watersports...what should I expect? So the cars and food gonna be cheaper, no easy asian gals, what else?

  5. Millennium are good ones, bought my car there and come for service every time without problems. They have spare parts from what I know(at least tyres etc). Most of the stuff dont speak English, but you always will find few people who do and they will help you out. In order to get your car out of the service same day, you need to pre-book in advance and put your car there early morning.

  6. Hi guys, I own Thai company limited established in 2004 for purpose of trade and export that registered with Sunbelt Asia. The company has corporate account with Bangkok bank, clean records of taxes and accounting. I hold a work permit as managing director(canceled now) and paid myself a salary. Early next year I will be leaving Thailand, so no need in company anymore. Instead of closing the company down I would like to give it to someone that need one. If anyone interested please contact me by PM. Thank you in advance.

  7. Its gonna be my birthday that weekend, I am looking for some upscale place to have dinner and few drinks after. Been to Long Table(is booked already unfortunatelly), Koi soi 20, that have small food selection and seriously overpriced, and To Die For Thonglor, that is pretty good choice. Someone can suggest more places of that kind? Thank you in advance.

  8. It was a few years that my friends renting villas round Nai Harn and Rawai, usually they got good deals for 50-55K baht for few months in high season. This year I want to go down and stay for 3 months Dec-Feb, but the prices for same places are up significally....70K is was the last price and 6 months pay in advance for the same property that been offered for 50K last year. So what is going on? More takers? Crisis is over? Very strange and make me maybe rethink my Phuket adventure for that high season...Please comment.

  9. Did you post this on another forum? If so i answered it there. Nakhon nayok -Kabin buri - Sa Kaeo-Wattana Nakhon,( turn left at the traffic lights)-Pa Kham -Nang Rong- Amphur muang Buriram, or wherever you are staying. This is much more pleasant way to go . More to see and much less traffic

Which is more or less the route we always take from Bang Phli to Phrakhon Chi but I suppose it might depend which part of BKK you're traveling from.

I also agree that this a much more attractive route and after travelling the 24 West to East on Tuesday I will not hurry back. It is in an appalling condition along the Chok Chai to Nang Rong stretch.

The preferred route does have some issues i.e quite a bit of wear on "Soi Minibus" (the 359 road, nicknamed soi minibus because of all the buses going to the casino)

appalling condition along the Chok Chai to Nang Rong stretch? What do you mean exactly?
