Would have thought a Merc would have "cheaper" protection against that...????
Do some research on the part actual cost..
The fuse links are cheap but the complete module that contains several links can cost $500 +
Its a big win in the spare parts dept when a dealer says they cant service the module.
$3 Pre fuse link- 1

Im wondering when i take the step and build my own house here, what do i need to do to avoid those things?
Big water tanks? Bigger heaters?
If you are looking for that five star power shower drenching in all bathrooms, one way is to store hot water and pump hard.

if OP is correct in reporting his ''router" is over-heating then whatever cooling set-up isn't working (whether it is internal fan, heatsink, natural ventilation whatever) .
My point is that adding additional cooling to a device with a problem is not wise.
I would give exactly the same advice ("first thing you do ... open it up and clean it") if he reported a heating problem with a fan-cooled CPU or an overheating car or an under-cooling fridge*.
Common sense to first fix the underlying problem. All the discussion of USB fans, wall-sockets, phone chargers etc is imo a distraction and poor advice ... even if an external fan does cool the thing, it is still running hot and i'd consider that a fire risk at best. and at worst a fire risk that OP is actually fanning!!
The OP states router is "running hot" as many routers do in Thailand's high ambient.
Check the device ventilation slots are clean yes but no need for any sweeping physics drama.
The routers USB port and power supply should be capable of supplying basic USB 5V current and that includes a small fan within the current limit placed on the port. One should also note that most routers have external power supplies dumping the loads switching heat. Most of the heat within the routers case comes from the router chip-set operating at 70C+.
I have a small fan on the office router (ASUS) plugged into its USB port. The internal temp sensor shows a 15-+ deg drop with the fan running.

Basic physics tells us that plugging a cooling source into the "over-heated" device actually makes it hotter ... think "... i'll just leave this fridge door open to cool the room a bit ...".

Galvanized steel C-Line does not need to be thick as its made to suit rapid screw fixing. The board adds rigidity.

Sound bars are an improvement over the TV's built in speakers and provide a little more boom but thats about it.
Many movies and TV shows are multi channel sound with the file often indicating type.

Yes for sure have you got a clue as to why the price difference in the colors?
Yes I have, its called the Lazada effect. I will leave you to work it out but I am guessing it might take some time.

Great thanks for the comprehensive answer I was just using the links as color images I didn't even look at that sizes.
But you can see from these two links they are both empty bottles virtually identical but have a significant price difference. Noting that they are both delivered from Lazada empty.
Those are 4kg picnic sets. Go to your local gas shop to make proper bottle price comparison for new and refill.

I don't think we are talking about the same thing. I have had a close look and they all appear to be LPG and from what I can tell the fittings are much the same. I am aware that colour coding is used for different types of gas but that is not the differences I'm referring to here.
The LPG bottle gas price for new and refill are quite close between brands. Be sure you are comparing same size bottle when checking prices as not all use same weight range.
The 4kg with vertical picnic connector can be more expensive when calculating gas content.
Examples of the many LPG bottle variations but Baht/kg is about the same.
Colors - Green, Blue, Red, Orange
Size - 4kg, 7kg, 11.5kg, 13.5kg, 15kg, 48kg
Brands - PTT, WP Energy, Unique Gas, Siam Gas

The pumps listed in the OP are turbine type with very close fitting impellers that are not very forgiving to particle contamination from a pond.
Regular centrifugal pumps as shown in post #3 would be a better choice.
Something like a 1HP Venz VM100 or similar would do the job.- 2

Mr. Fruit Trader, if you're still out there.....
I have 1 more question. Am I correct to assume that the solenoid valve is normally closed, and is then opened only when called for by the float switch?
Thanks
You are correct.
Normally closed valve 220V should cost around 400 Baht supplied in TH

Another solution using existing power supply. No new cable runs around the property required.
This simple method will control the storage tank fill using float switch and electrically operated valve. The level at where the tank stops and starts filling will be set by the float spacing. When the solenoid valve opens the supply pump will start via its pressure switch. When storage tank reaches set level the solenoid valve will close and supply pump will stop.
The existing ball cock can be left in place as a safety back up.
All items for this solution are readily available.- 1

The OP has done a runner and decided he will leave as is. He does not want an electrically operated solution because the storage tank location does not have the required facility.
Meanwhile back on earth . . .

The screw you adjusted is the switch balance differential and the place to tweak the gap between on/off . It is normally factory sealed with a blob of paint. Its not a good idea to adjust these switches without pressure indication.

Bankruasteve,
Is this the screw that needs to be turned? Also since the pump is not kicking on when the government water pressure is sufficient wouldn't I want it to be when the pressure is high rather than low? Or am I thinking incorrectly. Certainly when I close the PVC valve is that increasing or decreasing the pressure that the pressure switch is registering? PS, I saw another post on Thai Visa from a person who was experiencing exactly the same as I am.The Hitachi pressure switches have a small adjuster at the top for switch differential and a large thumb wheel under for operating pressure.
The pressure switch setting is optimized around the bladder tank charge pressure (normally shown on the bladder tank) and should be adjusted and tested using a pressure gauge connected to the pump outlet.
Example :-Switch on 16 psi
Switch off 23psi
Bladder charge 12 psi

Another option for the cable joint aficionados to squabble over.
PS
Solder applied to power cable joints is usually a backup to a already mechanically sound connection method.

bankruasteve,
Thank you. I am starting to conclude that losing the prime is the problem. It is either that as you suggest that the pump lacks a full prime or perhaps that the non return valve has failed or is in backwards. That would be why when turning the pvc valve shuts fills the pump priming it and allowing it to run. As soon as you turn the water off the water is seeping out of the pump and it is losing its prime. PS is the dog in your picture a Cavalier?Note, the pump will run with or without a prime but if you want to check if the inlet line is holding a prime :-
Photo markings -
A - Inlet line from ground tank
B - Inlet riser tube
C - Pump non return valve cover
Remove power from pump.Remove three screws and carefully remove cover C taking care not to lose the NRV spring.
Inspect the NRV seal for damage or debris.
The riser tube B should be full of water which will indicate the in ground tank foot valve is healthy. If the tank foot valve is faulty water in the riser tube will slowly drop.
Video showing NRV removal.
PSTo avoid guesswork, post a diagram of the system.

For the pump experts...
Why would turning the valve on the pump out to close then open jump start the pump? It doesn't seem like that would be doing anything to the prime. Will a pump run without the prime container full? If so, maybe the OP lost prime at some point and just needs to top off. (?)
Opening a valve might release a sticking pressure switch. These pump problems are all guesswork without proper sketch of the system.

Edit: Just checked our bottle and it has "YOLDTHIP WATER" in English. Googled that and get YODTHIP WATER CO., LTD. They apparently franchise under several trademarks.
If your water supplier is following standard your 20L bottles will be washed, filled in a clean tidy area and the cap sealed with a label displaying the food and drug registration number.
Self service machines are another story with a standard wide open to abuse.

They are reporting "Free" until August so does that mean if I collect the toll card at the first booth in Bangkok when I exit at the Ban Chang end the whole trip is "free"? I don't think so! Or If I enter at the BC end going all the way to Swampy the trip is "free"? I don't think so.
How are they going to collect for the portion that is not free? The new toll booths at the south end are not ready yet.
EXAT on 1543 should provide latest info on which new exit tolls will be active during the free period. A recent inquiry at the Nongprue M1 toll office suggested tolls will be collected and tickets issued at H3 exits during the free period.
Example - If a ticket is picked up at the Ladkrabang toll the exit machines at highway 3 U-Tapao will charge the same as if you exit at Pattaya during the free period.
There will be three toll gates Sukhumvit H3 + Highway 331 + Sukhumvit H3 final.- 1
