  1. I had that operation 18 months ago and watched some of the operation before dozing off. A new IOL was stitched to the anterior of the eye as the posterior capsule was too far gone. My vision was a bit grainy first week or so but soon came good. Stitches were removed a month later. The whole process was painless.
  2. It was a slow burn but I enjoyed it. Giamatti used a prop to feign an eye issue perhaps the gait was staged too.
  3. Yet you use trick posts without reasoning or logic to possibly influence others. Perhaps you should present your point of view for an honest respectful and factual discussion. In your first post I have never seen so many illogical fallacies in so few words: Hasty Generalization: The claim that “some people died” is vague and lacks context. It doesn’t specify how many people, under what circumstances, or whether these deaths are directly attributable to the vaccine. Without reviewing all available evidence, jumping to conclusions about vaccine-related deaths based on a few instances is a hasty generalization. False Dichotomy: The statement implies a binary choice: either people die from the vaccine or they don’t. However, this oversimplification ignores other possibilities. In reality, vaccine safety is a nuanced topic. Some people may experience adverse effects, but the vast majority benefit from vaccination by preventing severe illness and death. Red Herring: Focusing on vaccine-related deaths distracts from the broader context. Vaccines save lives by reducing overall mortality and preventing severe COVID-19 cases. The real question should be: How many lives have vaccines saved compared to the potential risks? Causal Fallacy (Correlational Fallacy): Correlation does not imply causation. Just because someone died after receiving the vaccine doesn’t mean the vaccine caused their death. Proper investigation is needed to establish a causal link, considering other factors and underlying health conditions. In summary, critical thinking requires us to consider the full picture, evaluate evidence, and avoid oversimplifications. While adverse events can occur, the overall benefits of COVID-19 vaccination far outweigh the risks. COVID-19 Vaccines Save Lives, Are Not More Lethal Than COVID-19 - FactCheck.org
  4. While no vaccine is flawless, it’s rare for people to die after vaccination. However, overall mortality would be much higher without vaccination. It’s intriguing how some lifelong followers of medical science now resist vaccination due to political ideology.
  5. He also stated that he didn't sexually assault anyone. Kavanaugh and Trump, talk about birds of a feather......he only hires the best people.....
  6. With respect, how is your post relevant my discussion with the OP?
  7. Does being the resident troll carry some entitlement of authority?
  8. Interestingly, Murdoch's initial foray into the newspaper industry was with 'The News' in Adelaide, my hometown. This publication likely marked the inception of the propaganda empire, which now plays a significant role in driving the current state of idiocracy in the US.
  9. Please explain your logic in how past performance can be the only true indicator of future acts. The first time of any act is therefore an impossibility?
  10. Not single-handedly, but IMHO a team of right-wing conspirators. The Federalist Society supposedly funded by dark money nominated their best members to Trump after spending years sponsoring and grooming them. Trump then gave the nod to the GOP led senate. T
  11. In a logical discussion, when someone asserts a claim, the burden of proof is on that person, there is no onus on others to disprove that the claim is false.
  12. Though I have explained it in my posts, I cannot understand it for you.....
  13. The father of the constitution James Madison once said: "The accumulation of all powers, legislative, executive, and judiciary, in the same hands, whether of one, a few, or many... may justly be pronounced the very definition of tyranny." If Trump wins the election James Madison would turn in his grave. Separation of Powers – National Center for Constitutional Studies (nccs.net)
  14. I have been watching some family movies lately and as the stepdaughter had recently read Anne of Green Gables, she convinced me to watch the Netflix Anne Series. Anne (TV Series 2017–2019) - IMDb 8.6/10 And what a joy it was.
  15. Perhaps you need get a dictionary and look up the definition of 'why' and 'know that' first.
  16. I don't know why Biden 'lied' perhaps it was the dementia which the GOP have been pushing about Biden for years. When you say something that you think is true it's not telling a lie. Biden did sack Trump who seemingly took sole credit for original withdrawal plan by virtue of his 2020 POTUS run.
  17. Of course I care. Yet the chaotic withdrawal was largely not Biden's fault. A U.S. review led by the National Security Council of the chaotic 2021 withdrawal of U.S. troops from Afghanistan largely lays the blame on former President Donald Trump, saying President Joe Biden was “severely constrained” by the decisions of his predecessor. 18. Sounds like you have just had an epiphany about politicians lying. Do you realise, that this has been common knowledge at least since the Roman Senate days? Though there has never been a politician who has made the saying 'if his lips are moving ........' more true than Trump. The proven fraudster and convicted criminal has 'been lying' all of his life.
  19. My new wheels just turned up at the dealers after only just a week after the order and I quickly need to decide on window film. My current rent car has lamina 50/front with 20/sides and although great in daytime it is slightly dark at night. I really like your recommendation. Could you tell me, do you need sunglasses daytime and how is your front and side/rear views at night?
  20. Facts don't seem to support your rant. 'Presidential historians in a new survey rank President Biden as the 14th best president in U.S. history — and put former President Trump last'. Presidents Day survey: Trump ranked last
  21. Biden addresses SCOTUS' decision.....
  22. AKA, I will wait for Fox et alia to convert the facts of the ruling into misinformation and conspiracy theories before I spread their propaganda as instructed as I am unable to think for myself.
  23. Thanks. Looks like a prequel to Part One and Two with Emily Blunt. I will look forward to when 2024 drops.
