  1. I recently made transfers from my Bangkok Bank account to purchase a car. It appears that with new third-party transfers, there is a qualifying period. My transfers were capped at 500k per day, requiring me to contact the bank daily for each transaction. I completed one transfer one day and another on the day I picked up the car, using my laptop for enhanced security. It's advisable to inquire with your bank before attempting such a transfer. In my experience, the bank only answered specific questions when contacted and did not volunteer information for subsequent steps in the process, which I found quite frustrating and time-consuming, as it seems to operate on a 'need-to-know' basis.
  2. I found W11 had a giant leap in functionality and has a new look and feel, which requires a little bit of a learning curve. I found A1 Co-pilot held my hand and sorted out any of my changeover issues. Overall, the change was a breeze and well worth it.
  3. Tamarind not only provides fiber but also has a laxative effect thanks to tartaric acid, malic acid, and potassium. Similarly, Deproud's formula includes papaya fiber and papain, a laxative enzyme found in papaya.
  4. That topic has not ended, is more than 5 years old, it's not the longest of all time, there is a least one that is more that 10 years older and it's not way back on the Pub subforum, its currently one below this topic.
  5. I've had a Yaris Cross HEV Premium just over a week now. The main reasons I didn't get the Luxury is that I specifically didn't want the sunroof or the low-profile tyres, but all the other options would have been worthwhile. I've done 500 km so far and I am really happy with it. If you have any specific questions, ask away,
  6. I recently had a similar epiphany to you with holland papaya. I have tried virtually everything for constipation and as a last resort even suppositories. I can remember recommending tamarind to you some time ago, but as I didn't find a suitable healthy form I personally moved on to papaya. The holland papaya grows everywhere like a weed in Thailand and does not have a high sugar content like other fruits likes prunes, mangoes etc.
  7. Perhaps some of this topic text is now moot! As reported MSM 30 minutes ago: 'President Biden vowed on Friday to return to the campaign trail next week, maintaining his public defiance even as people close to the president said they believe he has begun to waver privately about whether to stay in the race against former President Donald J. Trump'. Biden to Resume Campaigning as More Democrats Urge Him to Quit: Live Updates - The New York Times (archive.md)
  8. Under the Skin (2013) was far more revealing. Lucy (2014) though not so revealing was a far better movie.
  9. Can you image if Trump said "there will be a 'bloodbath' if he loses the election". Trump has been fomenting violence ad nauseum, seems it may have come back and bit him on the 'ear'. Trump says there will be a 'bloodbath' if he loses the election (nbcnews.com)
  10. The 'untrained and scared' female is obviously your evidence of DEI interference.
  11. How perceptive you are, I agree my comment has nothing to do with what actually happened as are most of the right-wing comments on this topic, including your comment about DEI. Perhaps Comer needs to investigate why Trump watched TV for hours on Jan 6th virtually denying protection of the Capitol and democracy.

  13. Seems in the past Trump was not very gun security conscious at his peaceful rally picnics. 'Former President Donald Trump urged the Secret Service to remove magnetometers at his rally near the White House on Jan. 6, 2021'. 15. Correction Seems on-line consult is only for those with Thai ID, possibly try sending an email.
  16. I would suggest that beside a four-dose post-exposure regimen, there is also a four-dose pre-exposure regime for rabies. Seems the two-dose schedule while economical does not provide extended protection. The advantage of the pre-exposure vaccination is that you don't need immunoglobulin HRIG or ERIG which is expensive, difficult to obtain and is a blood product with inherent issues. I suggest you need advice from a professional travel clinic. Seems you can consult on-line here. Thai Travel Clinic.com - The Special clinic for traveler's health in Thailand
  17. My son has a luxury and he loves it and he bought it mainly for the 360 deg camera as he is new to Thailand, and this is his remedy against the motorcycle problem. I didn't need: the sunroof although it has a retractable blind, the pioneer speakers, or the phone wireless charger and I didn't want the lower profile tyres as I am ride conscious. The Tyre Pressure Monitor System would have been nice, but I bought a optional Toyota tyre compressor instead. I was driving a 2022 Ativ and I am really impressed with everything particularly the power. If you haven't ordered an English manual yet I suggest you, do it ASAP as it is free if it comes with the car.
  18. Just got my new Yaris Cross today, order only took 12 days. I got Premium as I didn't need a sunroof to warm my bald patch. And you?
  19. I have already been through the issue with Bangkok Bank with a new passport at my local branch. At first, they told me they could not update my account details with a new passport, they could not issue a new ATM card, nor a new bank book and told me I would have to drive 12 hours return to the bank where I opened the account. They then capitulated after I told them of my conversation with head office and my old bank. Seems reasoning and rules work with the private sector not so much with the other.
  20. I felt I needed to do this, but everything was available online or at my local Bangkok Bank branch where I moved to. I got a new debit card and bank book locally, only thing is that I may need to pay a small inter-province transfer fee for ATM cash withdrawals. When I need cash which I rarely need nowadays I transfer a sum to the better half who has a local provincial account.
  21. I am really enjoyed Presumed Innocent (TV Mini Series 2024) - IMDb from the get-go. Excellent thriller and who did it plot. Now awaiting Episode 6. Thanks

  23. Maybe this? It would be interesting to compare German and OZ tax agreement. 'Example: A German Retired Citizen Living in Thailand Consider a German retiree, Mr. Müller, who has been living in Thailand for several years with a non-immigrant annual visa. He receives a monthly pension from Germany, which is already taxed there. Here’s how the new orders affect him, Pension Income Mr. Müller’s pension, taxed in Germany, will not be subject to additional Thai taxes due to the Double Tax Agreement (DTA) between Thailand and Germany. He should keep records of his pension statements and tax payments in Germany'. New tax rules for foreign-sourced income - Pattaya Mail
