My wife as well as our sons girlfriend has been in the property business, also i have bought and sold many in the UK ,here in Thailand ,ok they may try a higher price if they see a falang ,but as soon as you start the bargaining ,it makes no difference what nationality you are ,if they want to sell the owner will make just as much of a discount for anyone , Also i hate all this nonsense about"well its your wifes house " just because some silly farangs get ripped off it does not mean that the vast majority of us are in happy marriages with sons and daughters,well all my friends are and most like me have been married donkeys years. anyway ,the seller will sell at the price they are happy with ,and thats it ,

our sons girlfriend sells houses on new estates ,sales have not slowed down ,second hand houses now may be a different matter ,on our estate ,they seem to sell quite quickly and at good prices ,well a good bit more than we paid .

I originally went to him 5 years ago as my optician sugested i have a check up ,he told me i needed an immediate cataract operation never mentioned my eye pressure ,anyway i went to Queen Sirakit to check ,was told i had a minor cataract no need to do anything ,but needed drops for eye pressure , as far as i know the guy behind big c is closed down ,bloody good job to , might need a cataract operation soon ,but not a real problem.

once you know the system its easy ,and well worth it

its a very nice room ,air con and comfortable ,you will be there an hour or so ,but its well worth it

900 baht is what i pay ,if you have a special eye test (about once a year) where little objects fly around by lazer its about another 500 baht . when you gat your appointment (its a very nice hospital) you get first your normal eye test as you would in an oppticians ,then you get a pressure test and cataract test by the doctor ,they are both from private hospitals ,one is a miserable old bat (but really knows her job) and the other is a younger doc who is really friendly and speaks English ,so does the old bat but she wont ???? believe me its well worth going there

make an appointment at Queen Sirakit hospital in satahip if you can get there ,i have used them for many years ,get my eye tests every three months ,i have a cataract in one eye and pressure in my eyes which could lead to gloucoma ,i take drops which keep the eye pressure normal ,its a good hospital ,good doctors ,far far cheaper than Bangkok Pattaya hospital.

pity they didnt carry on ,instead of sinking to the level most of their countrys are now.
