fully agree that the Pink ID card is of use but correct me if I am wrong but I think you need to have your name entered in a Tabian Ban, be married with a Thai or have a work permit or permanent residence in Thailand to be able to apply or not?

not sure but i am married to a Thai and  have a yellow house book , mind you thousands of Burmese etc have them dont they ,doubt they are married to a Thai or own a house .

Just a side note for anyone anticipating COVID vaccination with the next 4 weeks.  Do not get a Flu vaccination in the meantime.  A nurse I spoke with the other day said that you should allow at least 2-4 weeks after influenza vaccination, before receiving a Covid vaccination.

Just posting this since it would be a shame if after all the frustrations we have gone through to hopefully be registered through Phyathai upcoming registration scheme, you had to forfeit it for having gotten a Flu shot too recently.

i actually got my flu jab 5 weeks before ,but reading a medical report  it said you can have them same time ,just saying what i read. it was British medical report

  3. I read all that is posted here and thank goodness i got a pink card ,registered on mor phrom 6 weeks ago and got an Astra Zenica jab 4 weeks ago just down the road in Sri Racha , just hoping that they cut the 16 week wait down to 12 as has been promised.

so to all those who say the pink card is of no use  rubbish.

as for the Thailandintervac ,registered was accepted and still waiting for an appointment ,and will be this time next year.

to be fair, most place that was Carrefour that are now BigC 'Extra' (in Bangkok too) has kept the more western products, some from 'Casino' brands from france and should have pretty good bakery still

In fact its still the same baker at pattaya Klang ,best bread in Pattaya ,trouble is at the moment because of covid ,many products are missing from the shelves ,

  5. To be blunt if half the drivers i see every day had another brain cell they would be a plant ,yesterday alone a woman on a motorbike turned in front of me as i was pulling out she had not given a signal and a guy was up the back of my bumper  forcing his way through ,he then overtook on the inside ,nearly sideswipped a car and then on pulling over in front of me again had to break hard to stop running into the back of another car ,driving here you need eyes in the back and sides of your head.

    Indeed.

Seems the thread is being inundated by latecomers that can't be bothered to read any of the past pages, but jump in regurgitating the same things posted many, many times before.

We've seen the back of many in the past 411 pages and no doubt, if we don't feed them, the latest skeptics will get bored and give up too.

    We can only hope.

411 pages mate ,i never in my wildest dreams thought that it would run so long ,only goes to show there is a God ,sorry i didnt mean that .????

whoops 413 pages now i see

Same with me.  They opened it for registration at midnight - when I tried to register at 6am - sold out already.  I was hoping to get the Moderna vaccine in the last quarter of this year - it appears if I still want Moderna, it will not be until next year. ????

It make me reconsider going ahead with the AstraZeneca from the Gov't roll out since I am over 60 and underlying medical conditions putting me in the high risk category.  BUT, so far no way to register for those of us living in Pattaya. ????

If you can get the AZ vacine ,i had mine 3 weeks ago ,its a good vacine ,oh and it was free ,lol

Because Thailand has been slow to vaccinate a majority of its population, it provides an environment for exposure to covid 19 variants. With limited studies not all covid 19 vaccines have the same efficacy against variants:

No medical comfort level yet with SinoVac.

I was reading a lancet report and it gave the AZ vacine a much higher rating than76% for the virus ,

The pipes transporting the water have a minimal effect on the amount available, it's the amount of water in Mabprachan Lake that determines the supply, and that's still very low.

Other than that, I'd say Covid has been a godsend for the traffic, especially because of the roadworks and the lack of half empty tourist coaches and empty songthaews. I got from Pattaya Nua to Pratumnak and back again in 35 minutes this morning!!

I thought i read some time ago that they bring water from another place ,not just Maprachen?,even with the amount of people in Pattaya now ,the lake doesnt have enough water.
