sorry to ask , what is KR2 ? thanks you
It's the proof of marriage you can get at the Amphurs Office. Provided it's on the computer, any Amphur will do. Costs about 20 Baht. If you divorce or your other half dies that file is no longer accessible. You need to get a copy stamped every time you get the visa, 1 month old at most I believe.

New Health Insurance Requirement for Long-Stay Visa Applicants (November 8, 2019)
Location: Thailand
Event: As of October 31, 2019, Thailand requires all long-stay (O-A and O-X) visa applicants to carry health insurance. Per Royal Thai Police Order Number 548/2562 dated September 27, 2019, foreign nationals who have been granted a nonimmigrant O-A or O-X visa must purchase health insurance which covers their length of stay in the Kingdom of Thailand. The coverage must be no less than 400,000 Thai Baht per policy year for inpatient care and not less than 40,000 Thai Baht per policy year for outpatient services.
U.S. citizens can present proof of existing insurance (U.S.-based or otherwise) that covers them in Thailand or they can purchase an insurance policy via the Thai General Insurance Association’s website at http://longstay.tgia.org.
U.S. citizens will need to download the Overseas Insurance Certificate and have it completed, signed, and stamped by their insurance company if using a non-Thai insurance policy to qualify.
Actions to Take:
· Visit the Royal Thai Embassy website to review visa requirements.
· Learn more about Thai health insurance policy options.
· Learn more about Insurance Providers for Overseas Coverage.

That's O-A visas the topic is for type O. Going by the date, and if you've just got it. They were late sending it.

You can apply for a one year extension during the last 30 days of any of the 90 day entries from the visa.
I'd give it 6 weeks, I think that's the max, and if your IO has an attitude you may need that extra. One in Ranong wanted to do me for overstay because it was late coming. Luckily her boss liked my wife. However she's in charge now.

Just confirming, the multiple entry non o marriage visa is valid for 12 months from the date of issue and not a calendar year?
Can you apply for a 12 month extension if you have the multiple entry non o marriage visa?
I've seen mentioned that you can use baht and don't need kip in Laos. Are prices shown in both currencies or is everyone doing math and converting in their heads when making a purchase?
The visa is for 1 year, but you exit every 90 days. So you have 5 days left. You do one more run, that gives you 450 days. At the end of that you can get a 60 day extension for 1900 Baht. If you are down the Malay Peninsula, you can cross across to Burma from Ranong. That gives you about 18 month.
Prices in Laos I've seen are in Kip. You can pay in Baht and if you ask you can get your change in Baht. I found them to be friendly people.

We finished at the Immigration office at 11.30 Monday and today at 11.00 3 police came to see if we do actually live here. My wife did most of it and I was in the photo shoots at the end. I didn't have to sign a thing and now they at my wife's shop stuffing themselves for free.
Still all's well that ends well.
I live in an area that has a lot of Burmese workers. Every time immigration do a sweep, they visit. Even giving them warm water doesn't put them off.

Last time I did the annual extension, it took about 4 hours. We could have driven from Ranong to visit my wife's Aunt in Surat Thani. That and the lack of multitasking. A friend wants a chat, everything stops.
-
Thank you Joe.
-
OK now I have the extension, and as I'm in Ranong I can the do a 30 day run in October. The boss in the office told my wife that if we go back after the 30 days, she'll give me another 60 day extension. Is that right?
-
Now my wife tells me she wants the map to our house. I'm now convinced this woman doesn't understand what I'm applying for.
-
Well it's a good job we went a day early. The officer in Ranong decided she wants photos of us inside and outside the house. No point arguing, it just shows you can't be over prepared.

OK I've seen the excitement in the Thailand News. I just want an informed opinion. Does the new requirement affect all non o/a visas, or just the visa extensions?
-
I'm not expecting a sensible response. I might be better asking they stop the daily 6PM bs show. Damned annoying when I'm watching a good film 555OK Mosha, exactly what do you expect to come back? LOL. Mate, go with her prepared to drink all the beer.

Last minute campaign meeting, at 5pm. Mrs says she's going. My instructionIdiots.
Lying scumbag idiots.
Do not mention visas. Ask how they can guarantee prices, when there's a global market. See what comes back apart from beer.

Silly promises for the election down here. Prayuth's mob promising palm oil and rubber price rises. Democrats promising 4 baht a kilo on palm oil.

More rain in the forecast. Parts of the South could be hit with the biggest storm in 50 years.
My worst NYE/ NYD for years. Admitted to hospital on Monday AM, hopefully home on Saturday. Thumb
somehow got infected, extremely painful. Looked like something out of a 1960s Sci Fi film.

Not sure, just heard the guy getting a bit upset, and mentioning money resources. They were back the following afternoon, so they must've sorted it.
What were they being asked to be shown ?
Bank statements with 20 000 B ?

Next time I'll cross over straight away. Stayed at a GH near the bridge before, but the boss wasn't happy when he saw I'd already checked in.
An Italian wanting a month was turned away, and only 3 rooms are occupied. Sopha was told it was due to problems with immigration.
