  1. I am looking at installing a 3M APT11 T Aqua Pure from the mains supply to the house direct supply and a 1500L tank. The flow capacity is rated at 8 gpm at 125 psi, which I think is enough. This is just to knock out any debris down to 5 microns. Does anyone have experience using this type of filter? They are all over Lazada at about 4000B.

I found out the True investment was sold out on the first day! This was their second offering this year.

Curious that they need tens of billions of Baht from investors.

Would love a link or more info on credit unions in Thailand. What do Thais call them?

Taking a stab at possibly the investment required or needed for 5G infrastructure???

    Weird thing....

I have no problem or allergy to drink pasteurized, regular milk products in all their various forms -- milk, yogurt, cheese, cottage cheese, etc...

But when I got here, because it's so prevalent, I started buying and using the packaged UHT milk products from brands like Foremost and others for breakfast cereal and such.... Immediately, started having stomach irritation problems that I'd never had before, couldn't figure out why.....

Eventually ended up stopping using Thai UHT milk for other reasons (I had decided to switch to rice milk), and presto, no more stomach irritation.  But still to this day eat Thai Caroline brand fresh yogurt every day, and no stomach issues whatsoever...

Made me wonder if there's something iffy about the local UHT milk sold here...

I work in Dubai half the time. I have no issues in Thailand with milk products. In Dubai, I have similar issues to you in Thailand with various and certain milk products. I put it down to getting older and becoming less tolerant. I love Costa coffee. In Dubai, I can't touch it with and any of their milk blended in. Toilet here I come 30 mins later.

I'm not trying to be a jerk here, just letting you know where I stand on this issue.  I'm not like most expats here.

I am dynamically opposed to the bar scene in thailand.  If it were up to me nana, soi cowboy, walking street, all of it would be overpriced hotels for Chinese tourists and condos etc.  I can't stand bar girls and I can't drink alcohol anymore due to poor health.

I like good health care, low cost of living, and that's about it.  Its ok here in isan but I've got major health issues that even the docs in bangkok can't assist with anymore.  And immigration is just annoying here.

My experience with india is just hot and cheap.  Completely immersed in cultural heritage but more westernized than thailand in lots of ways.  Maybe a little grimy in some areas.  All ok with me.  I haven't stayed long enough to have more of an impression of the place, I guess.  I guess I should do that.

Given what you wrote then India would be a good choice for you. Especially the North. Me personally I think the place is a stinking S-hole. I have worked extensively in India from 1982 until my last trip there last year.

Yep, some other rules could be implemented instead of these petty ones.

ONLY the captain and the player involved should talk to the ref. Other players stay 10 yards/metres away and keep gobs shut.

Throw-ins taken within say 2 metres of where the ball went out.

Scrap the off-side rule. Only brought in to prevent forwards staying on the goal line waiting for a pass. Why not?

Ban commentators from ANY statistics of previous matches, or say more than 5/10 years previously!

This game you speak of is called RUGBY. ????????

But do check, I've never come across a lappie that's not "universal", but there's a first time for everything.

    Good point.

I bought my first laptop in the US when I was working on a project there in 1995. They were way cheaper in the US than in the UK then. It came with 17 floppy disks to load Windows 95. How times have changed.

OP if you are asking this question on the power supply it sounds like your, not a "techie". If the laptop comes with pre-installed operating software Windows 10 then all well and good. If not make sure you install the original operating system and not some fake or copied rubbish version that is available in Thailand.
