  1. You hand over a deposit, then decide to bail out, and expect your deposit back? ???? As others have said, consider yourself lucky with the outcome.
  2. I assume the OP will fly back from Singapore. TM6 forms currently aren't being used at airports.
  3. The bus from Mukdahan to Savannakhet could always be used by people who don't have a visa, but there was no guarantee that it waited for you on the Lao side long enough to get your visa on arrival, so you might have needed to wait for the next one. With an eVisa, it shouldn't be a problem to catch the same bus again.
  4. Your best bet for a definitive answer is your airline. They are the ones who will either allow you to board your flight or not. Whatever you may find on the web might convince you, but not necessarily the check-in staff.
  5. Probably yes, unless you transit somewhere. Otherwise you could get an ETD from your otherwise useless embassy to facilitate your return.
  6. At land borders, you don't need to show proof of onward travel, that's only asked for when flying in without a visa / re-entry permit.
  7. You don't need any documentation for re-entering Thailand besides your passport and visa. At a land border, you'll still need to fill in the "arrival card" form of old, that's it. For entering Laos, you have the choice between buying an eVisa beforehand and buying a visa on arrival ar the point of entry.
  8. I use my Bangkok Bank app when I'm abroad all the time, never a problem. I wouldn't recommend using a VPN - if anything, that might get you flagged. It certainly isn't necessary.
  9. That's not going to work, as Thailand's neighboring countries (which you would need to enter for a border run) require a minimum of 6 months remaining passport validity.
  10. You don't need to leave the country every 90 days, you can get an extension instead. While it's a bit annoying that this needs to be done every 90 days (instead of a year with the newer version of the Elite visa), there's no requirement to ever leave the country at all.
  11. You won't get and you don't need a TM6 if arriving by air.
  12. It's an insane requirement, but it has been reported from other immigration offices in the past, so I'm not really surprised.
  13. They're 20+ years behind as per usual.
  14. Personally, I have no problem with people using an agent as a matter of personal choice. However, I think taunting people who choose to go to immigration themselves is way over the top. Let's not forget that it's actually a requirement to show up in person, just consider yourself lucky that your agent gets this requirement waived.
  15. Depends on what kind of school. If it's a proper university that has long holidays and you leave within those holidays, it's fine.
  16. You can go to the immigration service point at BluPort Mall for that, instead of making the trek to the main immigration office that is in a much more inconvenient location.
  17. Then it's sent for approval to regional immigration headquarters, not to Bangkok. Did you really use an agent for that kind of extension? That's much more rare and convoluted than using an agent for a retirement extension. Which is probably why some posters questioned the "under consideration" step.
  18. Did you need to provide any other documents besides financials? Such as proof of accommodation or onward travel?
  19. I take it that's a rhetorical question, considering...
  20. The OP clearly says "10M Baht", which happens to be the amount required for this kind of "visa" (extension).
