My mother in the UK passed away 2 years ago today. I needed an emergency visa for my Thai wife to attend the funeral ( she has been to the UK with me 9 times ).
I called the visa service to ask what was the best way of obtaining the visa quickly, they weren't interested. After 5 days of trying to make headway i gave up and went on my own.

Why is a "disease" that is 99.97% non fatal getting this much attention?
It's not like it's the Spanish flu or bubonic plague <deleted>

I need a translation when I am watching Newcastle. I was at Old Trafford in the fifties when fans of both teams mingled. I stood next to a Geordie who kept shouting a phrase which I thought was English but couldn't be sure. Eventually I asked him what it meant; 'Gi oop the field yu tatta.'
Take my word for it, that DEFINITELY wasn't a Geordie

He also went to Brussels and forgot he had a country to represent so i suppose you're right, it could happen to anyone

With English commentary?
If you need commentary on a football match you don't know what you're watching. Maybe watch Thai soaps instead?????????

I bought my Aussie mate's car when he went back to Oz 3 weeks ago.
Nobody appraises the price, we agreed a price between ourselves (obviously) and we did the transaction.
When it came to transferring ownership (Banglamung, Chonburi), seller and buyer must attend. Because it's foreigner to foreigner it cost me 2,855 baht, very smooth, no problems.
Don't know if the transfer cost would be different if a Thai was involved

I'm a 67 year old Brit retired in Thailand and personally i don't give a toss about the vaccine. I am registered, if they offer it that's fine, if not that's fine. The way i look at it is if everyone around me has been vaccinated then i have nothing to worry about????????

Nothing to do with a man directing traffic, if you run into the car in front it's because you weren't paying attention

Who in their right mind would turn up at the airport with a positive test certificate?

Aussie friends of mine are returning to Australia tonight on a repatriation flight, they were covid tested yesterday and have to pick up their certificates today.
A covid test within the last 72 hours is all that's required

My Thai wife had an appointment at Bangkok Pattaya hospital yesterday at 2.30 to receive her 1st jab. The hospital called her at 1.30 to cancel her appointment because they had run out of vaccine.
This government couldn't organise beers from 7/11

Thais in the U.K. receiving their free covid jabs aren't referred to as foreigners, only people
Just saying

Don't be so confident, my former wife waited 30 years before ripping me.
13 years is nothing, wait until the kids are about to leave school and see what happens.
Women tend to think in 3 stages
Stage 1, find a mate.
Stage 2, raise the kids.
Stage 3, grab all you can and off to find stuff existing man doesn't provide.
What kids?

I met my Thai wife online (Thai love lines) 13 years ago and been married for 9, best thing that ever happened to me. I was fairlly wealthy when i met her and still am. She has a very.good salaried job and in 13 years hasn't asled for a penny,
Don't knock Thai women or online love, it does exist

The New Nordic group announced today that it has filed for bakruptcy. New Nordic is a very big player in the property market in Pattaya and other places worldwide. Leaving thousands of expats and Thais losing millions of baht each (5.46 million in my case) and with total debts running in to billions of baht. This hasn't been reported by any Thai news agency

There are several ways that i know of to scan a QR code ( for entry to shops etc ). There is the LINE app, Thai Chana app and Mor Chana app. I use LINE and Thai Chana on my phone. My question is, Mor Chana seems to be the recommended app but is scanning with either of the other two apps acceptable to the authorities?
Thanks in advance.

Makes sense. This is Thailand. The citizens should get it for free. If we want it for free, we'll have to head back to our home country. Me? I'll pay the money not to have to do that. Not that big of a deal.
You're missing the point again, i'm the foreigner here and so wouldn't expect anything for free. I'll pay whatever they ask, i simply posed the question "i wonder how much they'll rip us off for"?
And yes, it's not a big deal
