  1. The Thaksin hate mob don't deal in facts just "lock up the runaway, thieving criminal" is about their level . They also, conveniently, forget to mention that Mr T was a billionaire businessman before entering politics. My partner, for one, will welcome him back if only for one reason: If he hadn't reformed health care funding she wouldn't have paid just 30 baht for a 7 day hospital stay which entailed 2 minor operations. Whoever will you haters aim your vitriol at after the Thaksin circus leaves town?
  2. I always praise a Thai person when they try out their English on me and I help them. Judging by some posts here on this subject there are some miserable, anti-social farang who are like the Brits who moved to Spain and are proud of the fact that they don't speak Spanish and only eat egg and chips. Sad.
  3. I hope the Thaksin hate mob on here are collecting rent from him cos he's definitely living in their heads.
  4. I guess you forgot that someone who cannot be named said to Mr T "something must be done" re the drug gangs. Ring a bell?

  6. You do know that the French government wanted to build, at their expense, a processing centre on French soil but the spineless Brexity UK government refused this. Given that around 80% of asylum applications are granted one can see why the Tories don't want due process. It suits them to have the the knuckle scraping morons on side blaming Jonny Forrinners for the <deleted>e they've had heaped upon them for 13 years . It's called distraction tactics and it's worked for the Tories....so far. Can't wait to Rejoin!
  7. A friend was gonna send £1k to me here in Thailand. He went to Western Union and was quoted £28 fee. Hmm...3 x Wise charge but hey ho. What rate? My friend enquired: 39.7 baht to £1. On that day the middle rate was 44.8 baht. So WU would cop a massive £79 . That's 7.9%! No thanks WU. You've had your day there are other players in the field now.
  8. Why the inverted commas around the word elected? He was democratically elected by large numbers. Keep em guessing Mr Thaksin. You've got the hate mob on here frothing.
  9. There's a street stall in Wong Wian Yai that sells noodles at 5 baht per bowl.
  10. Come on A.N. stop throwing red meat to the Thaksin hate mob. How about running a piece on a truly evil person who we, who don't suffer myopia, can get angry about. Say, Suthep.
  11. You missed out the "I'm not racist but" bit .
  12. Because "this criminal" made the lives of the majority of Thais better. Can't make an omelette without....
  13. Please show evidence of international observers overseeing the elections of Mugabe, Putin and Hun Sen. To compare Mr T's electoral success with those dictators is disingenuous. But hey, red meat for the Thaksin hate mob on here.
  14. Yes he said at one of his rallies to the ding a lings that "I love the poorly educated". Says it all dunnit?
  15. Ahem..the civil servants (middle managers) who implemented the rice scheme got years in the slammer because they were the ones ripping off the farmers and, ultimately, the government. Okay it was on her watch that this happened but the resulting coup has damaged Thailand more.
  16. That's exactly what Thais had under Thaksin and Yingluk.
  17. Well this topic has certainly brought out the usual Brit bashing bigotry. Sad.
  18. The OP's statement may or may not be true but one fact is that the UK is now a secular society. In the 2021 census 53% stated that they had no religious beliefs. Add on the Don't Knows and it's a healthy outlook.
