    Not simple. To change address the bank now asks for proof of residence eg name on electoral roll, utility bill in bank customer's name etc. I've just been through this worrying procedure.

    Airport link train from BKK or Red Line from DMK to City Centre 44 bt and 33bt respectively. Ok, tourists with luggage want the convenience of a taxi so prominent notices at Immigration in many languages should inform tourists to insist on the use of meter. In decades of using Bangkok taxis I've had one bad experience and that was on my first visit. Bangkok taxis are among the best in the world.

    Last time I went there I was refused non o multi entry based on marriage because although I had copies of wife's house book and ID card, original marriage certificate I didn't have wife's Kor Ror 2 (change of name) paper. I understand this was only insisted on by a new officer at the Thai Consulate. This was just days before the border was closed cos of Covid. Have found other satisfactory paths in the meantime.

    I also have no idea where Khaosan Rd is and what I've read about it seems I've missed nowt. Bangkok is however a vibrant exciting city to visit but the business and main tourist areas are not "filthy" Look at Silom, Lumpini, Sathorn areas.

    Last week we met family at Swampy. 2 metered taxis to Silom. Both cost under 500 baht including tolls. Bangkok taxis are among the best in the world .
