I don't care if it's illegal. If some "YouTuber" walks up to someone when they're on the beach or any other public place and sticks a camera in their face and tells them they are being livestreamed to all their "followers" they better hope the camera is insured.

Why don't you try it? Walk up to a group of Thai males and start filming them and tell them it's being livestreamed to thousands and that it's perfectly legal. Be sure to report back what happened ????.

The Korean got what he deserved. Possibly less.

People with your attitude of disrespecting people's private space deserve what is coming to them.

Seems to me that you are at the very least condoning violence for a person's actions (livestreaming on a public beach), that are despised by some but nevertheless declared completely legal by Pattaya Police.

Typical Caveman mentality - I don't  care (about legality) - I don't like, I like to stop this (alphamale chest beating).

Most countries are not condemning, It is only America and its vassal states in Europe. India and China do not give a damn to America's proxy war and America can't do anything about it because America and Europe need India and China to access their market. Thailand should maintain its neutral position to profit  from the situation as America is profiteering at the expense of Europe, its vassal states.

Let me refresh your selective memory.

UN General Assembly condemning Russia's Invasion:

143 countries voted in the affirmative, including Thailand

     35 abstentions

       5 voted against it

Countries imposing sanctions apart from the US and its "vassals" Europe:

Japan, South Korea, Canada, Australia, Singapore, New Zealand, Singapore among others

    Here's mine:

1/ Renting a condo or a house for less than a quarter what it would cost me in Australia.

2/ The freedom to hop on a scooter and go shopping, or just for a cruise. Relaxed road laws, traffic fines won't break the bank.

3/ Having a girlfriend 23 years younger than me, who thinks the sun shines from my posterior.

4/ Enjoying all the permutations and combinations of the multiple cuisines available here, inexpensively.

5/ Knowing I won't be shoved into an aged care facility, and fed food that would make a dog puke.

Bonus - Seeing a specialist without BS referrals, and getting replacement medications at pharmacies without BS prescriptions.

Agree in full - you're not Australian by any chance? Thought so.

    For clarification:

The vast majority of humans are born  with an unambiguous biological sex
that’s either male or female. While there *are some intersex conditions,
they are rare. For the most part, biological sex in humans is fairly simple:

People with XX chromosomes are biologically female, have ovaries and grow breasts. People  with XY chromosomes are biologically male, have testicles and leave the toilet seat up.

Gender identity is as difficult as sex is simple. Gender refers to our
internal sense of being female, male, or something else.

    Webster's definition of gender?
: the behavioral, cultural, or emotional traits typically associated with one sex

As everything internal,  it’s subjective and hard to properly define.

Gender identity comes about by a mix of genes,  acquired biological traits, environmental and social factors, and cultural expectations.

When someone’s perceived gender doesn’t align with their biological sex, we’ve come to call  them “transgender”.  The other case, when sex aligns with gender, is often called “cisgender”.

    Definition & Meaning

    cis:
a prefix meaning “on the same side of,”
    trans:
a prefix meaning “on the other side of,”

Transgender people may feel like they are trapped in the wrong body. Not all, but some of them  are distressed by this experience, and develop what is called “gender dysphoria”,  a recognized psychological condition which might severely limit their quality of life.

Some transgender people prefer not to draw a distinction between sex and gender,  and instead distinguish between their experienced gender and the “assigned  gender” or the “gender assigned at birth”.

Being transgender is neither new nor necessarily detrimental to mental health,
it’s just a not-very-common variation of normal human development.

Excellent summary of the whole topic re sex, gender, incl. transgender issues -

based on available facts compiled by medical professionals iand researchers in the relevant disciplines all over the world and free from bias of any kind.

Presented in easy understandable terms for (almost) anybody.

  5. Pravit elected as PM until recently seemed to be a remote possibility. Leading a minority government that can't pass anything through the house.

    Unless .........

Remember the 2nd complaint accepted by the Charter Court?

    Accusing MF of

"attempting to overthrow the democratic system with His Majesty the King as the Head of State".

It would not surprise me at all if the

court rules in the affirmative, expels Pita and orders the dissolution of the Move Forward Party.

    Problem solved!

Do you support "gender reassignment surgery" (AKA genital mutilation) of children?

You might reconsider  your stance once you learn that at least 30 leading American professional medical association supporting health care for transgender people and youth, pointing out the widespread misinformation and bans on care do not reflect the research landscape.

Top right, bottom left is Brad Pitt's former wife.

The other two depict and I quote....

    "a Freddie Mercury look alike"

"a man dressed and made up to look

      like one"

"looks like a young David Bowie"

    "looks terrible"

    "a grotesque farce"

    "this thing is no lady"

"2/10"  among more elaborate descriptions lol

May I suggest a new pair of prescription glasses?

Well that are not politician in that sense....and there is not much money to be made as senator.

But that it is a bad solution to appoint them is agreed already....

Look at China, Vietnam, Saudi Arabia....they all don't have elected governments but do well. Venezuela has more oil than Saudi Arabia....elected Socialists.
Hitler was elected and in a coalition...sure his voter would have been angry if there would have been an unelected senate that blocked him.

My point is...it is not all black and white: elected wonderful and great; not elected: evil.....

Usually democracy works better but there are also a lot exceptions....

"Do well" in what respect? Do well for who?

"Usually democracy works better but there are a lot of exceptions"

"Works better" in what respect? For who?

  9. Interesting - the diving tourists got charged for an offence that carries a sentence of up to 2 years jail and/or a 200'000 Baht fine  ......

while the dive company and their dive instructors got away with a proverbial wai.

Just wondering whether or not the Chinese have been instructed not to Interfere with marine life and the possible consequences of doing that under thai law prior to the dive.

    Apparently he was the aggressor.

    Really?

Probably yes ......  After the van driver horned on end, tailgatet their car for some distance until both stopped at a red-light. The van driver then got out of his car and approached the the guys to ever so gentlemanly make them aware of an alleged driving error on their part a while back. To give him credit, he did not carry a machete, iron rod, gun or similar weaponry to get his point across.

    Nothing further.
