For reference - not only Thailand where UK State Pension is frozen but also Burma, Cambodia, Laos, Malaysia, Singapore and Vietnam in this part of the World.
My UK State Pension is frozen at 102 GBP per week, the same as 15 years ago! Fortunately I get two indexed linked police pensions in addition.

Yes indeed, and not just Thai Boxing. Sadly it is a worldwide problem in many different sports, as I know very well.
For over 25 years I was a qualified football (soccer) referee registered with the English Football Association. Although never physically abused, other than being spat at and a few pushes, the verbal and mental abuse was at times horrendous eg. phone calls to my house and scathing media reports, not about my ability to referee but the result of the game and blaming me - just as above with the Thai boxing referee. I could go on at length, but I will end with one incident where myself and my 2 assistant referees (linesmen in those days) had an armed police escort off the pitch after an U-18 International Youth Match between a Brazilian team and a Ugandan team. At the final whistle, the Brazilian team lost and all hell let loose with people running onto the pitch from all directions. Fortunately Brazilian Police Officers were on site and they escorted us back to the dressing room and eventually into our minibus. The spectators anger, I did not keep adding on extra time for the Brazillians to score!!!

In the Uk, police officers have a warrant card which, I believe, gives them powers of arrest if they suspect a crime is being committed.
In Thailand police seem to need a court order first.
From my time with the Thai Tourist Police, I believe an arrest warrant/court order is requird to bring an individual to the police station for questioning in relation to a crime (e.g. for fraud etc.) For street/bar brawls, as we have read about recently in Pattaya and Phuket, arrest warrants are not required, the perpetrators can be arrested on site and taken in for processing.
In the UK, Citizens have the power of arrest known as "Citizens Arrest", but it is rarely used with people leaving it to the Police:-
You can make an arrest if the suspect is actually committing the offence or if you reasonably suspect them of committing it, or when the offence has been committed and you reasonably suspect them of having committed it.
There is no specific wording to use when making a citizens arrest. However you must inform the person you are arresting as soon as possible what you are doing, why you are doing it and what offence you believe the person has committed.

Junta military personnel are kept in captivity unless they defect to the rebel "freedom" forces. Weapons, ammunition and other military equipment are taken and used by the "freedom fighters". Junta Generals who lose and surrender, face the death penalty from their own Junta's terrorist organization the Tatmadaw. Civilian personnel working for the Junta are kept in custody, and in a few instances, some have been murdered for collaborating with the Junta leading to the arrest/death of "freedom" fighters.

Thank you, I totally agree. So many over sweetend Thai products including bread, milk and drinks. IMO Thai mayonaise was the most disgusting I had ever tasted - so sweet! Compared to Cambodia, Thailand lacks a vast choice of low sugar/sugar free food products like we have on our Cambodian supermarket shelves. Mitrphol take note - stop causing obesity in your country!

Thank you - very much so. As I stated elsewhere, my UK State Pension is frozen at 102 GBP per week and is based on the full 40 year's worth of NI contributions. I started contributing at the age of 16 and ceased when I retired at 56. I was always in employment. After retirement I was recalled for contract work. I did not have to pay NI contributions as I had the maximum amount "in the pot".
