  1. he gave them a loan when he was premier
  2. As a poster above commented, your attorney is clueless because all they need to do is send her the documentation to sign through a courier service, which she then returns to the attorney by mail. This whole process should take about a month, and cost you around $2,000 including costs and fees, depending on your attorney's fees. Alternatively, I suggest you visit and speak with someone at your local courthouse, specifically a supervisor, and inquire if you could complete the whole process on your own.
  3. My bro who was visiting me in 2015 almost got into a fight across from Pratunam market with two Chinese guys who, despite our pleas not to spray us with water or powder, still threw almost a full bucket of water at him. We went through Silom, Sathorn, and some other places and weren't sprayed by anyone after pleading with them, but those particular guys just refused to listen to our entreaties.
  4. there are NO single girls working at those locations
  5. I never liked him, but I don't appreciate how they're working hard to bring him down. And I believe he's being prosecuted because he was somehow involved with the shinawatras saga.
  6. Those in Thailand at the time of the crime knew they were scapegoats.
  7. Well, that was my favorite soup but stopped eating it because it's always too salty. I guess the reviewer didn't fancy its spiciness as well.
  8. My ex's family has been trying to break up a relationship between their 17 years-old-daughter and a 12-year-old boy. His family blatantly refused to help claiming it was the girl who went after their son, so they weren't interested in the matter.
  9. A wai and a 500B fine paid to the cops
  10. they, definitely lied about his health
  11. Yep, simple explanation, but a foreigner's going to get locked up and deported.
  12. an acquaintance did it at a public hospital in BKK last October without an overnight hospital stay
  13. Worked at a school where one of the teachers was often retrieving sacks from the bushes close to the school during break.
  14. They wanted me to change from my default ACH to debit/credit card last month, so I used Moneygram instead. Yes, the Moneygram transfer was deposited directly into my bank account, and I don't think I lost much because the fee was very low, and the deposited amount was more than what I'd have received had I used the funding method requested by Wise.
  15. Took everything available in Thailand for more than 10 years and started ordering Excedrin. However, one day, I went to Makro on Kanchanaphisek Rd not far from Rama 2 Rd because my excedrin shipment was late and I'd had a very bad tension migraine for days, and the pharmacist on duty asked me to read about preventing migraine instead of damaging my liver from taking those drugs. She wrote a drug for migraine prevention on a piece of paper which she asked me to look for. I did a lot of reading online and found out that various supplements could help because I was unable to find the particular drug she'd recommended. After only a couple of months, the migraine became less frequent and subsequently stopped. I have been free from migraines for almost 10 years now. That Makro pharmacist was a lifesaver. She told me what none of the numerous doctors I visited in over 10 years, not even doctors in those expensive hospitals in the Silom Rd area, told me. I went back after about 3 months to thank her, but she walked away as soon as she saw me approaching.
  16. The Bangkhunthian office refused to put a condo in my 16-year-old daughter's name last year, so as much as I hate it, it was registered in her uncle's name.
  17. I'm very sure we can still come up with news reports of thaksin visiting his grandparents home/hometown in China while he was prime minister.
  18. there's just going to be another round of protests, and possibly another military coup to sort out the mess
  19. why is a greedy person born every minute?
  20. Was there on my last visit, which was about 4 months ago. The food and service were okay. And if you're going to drive, there's a parking garage on the opposite side. You pay B100 for the parking, hand the receipt over at the restaurant, and you get a refund.
  21. There was a guy from the Netherlands doing that there in 2021/2002. We bought him snacks and beverages, but he insisted on money. Don't really remember if we obliged him, but we were aware that was his source of income at the time.
  22. Let's just hope he didn't try to extort Pita and his party as well.
  23. About 15 years ago, we booked a hotel in Rayong that advertised FREE beach chairs, both on its website and booking.com, which turned out to be a lie as we were approached 5 minutes after sitting down for 30 baht per head. I would have paid for my ex and myself after the man explained that the chairs weren't owned by the hotel, but he also demanded payment for my 2-year-old who was playing in the sand. We simply got off and left. The said hotel was located in a secluded area, and the entire beach, just across from the hotel, was always deserted. However, somehow, the man arrived on a moped to demand payment after we picked up and dusted the chairs which were scattered all over from the previous night's storm, and sat.
  24. good to know I'm not going deaf
