Depends what you mean by Night Life, yes there are girlie bars, and live music venues, good restaurants, but all that is behind me now, at 73, I don't spend my time or money in them anymore, + I'm married. No pollution here, rarely any flooding, very low crime rate, no real traffic problems, no traffic lights. When the ferry stops running around 7.30 no traffic. Cons have to go to the Mainland for a decent hospital, even the Govt. hospital in Trat is very good. There are no surgeons on the island.

I think my tint is 10% front and rear, but I still find that at night its too dark unless on main beam ( Both my headlights come on with High beam, that is the cars design) Anyhow I have fitted 2 extra Motorcycle spot lamps I can turn on. They are brighter than my headlights.

Some don't like Island life, but Koh Chang has been my choice now for many years, If I had to move Ban Chang would be first choice, not to far from BKK or Pattaya.

Yea I was really pissed off that day the overbearing heat didn't help, No it was a BIG C on the other hand our local big Lotus, has now closed in fact demolished, very near Big C, and they are building a small one in our village, although there are many around, so now we will have a Small Big C, Lotus, and, 7/11<--the most expensive one in Thailand IMO.

It does help sometimes, I can't remember whether it was last year or the year before, but I'd just about had enough, it was always hot in there (at my local one) I stopped buying any dairy products after a yogurt went of still in date, 2 days after I brought it, all their chocolate was soft. the only A/C there was directly above the manager's desk, the poor staff were wilting in the heat. Anyhow I sent an email to their head office, it was the hottest day of the year in Thailand, it was hotter in the store than outside, Enough was enough, not one fan or even the managers A/C was off, he was not there, I pointed out what I had found wrong with the place. They now have big 4 A/C units and a new manager, many items that were not there anymore are back on the shelf. Incidentally with a huge new stock being shelved a message was playing in perfect English and Thai apologizing for any inconvenience caused by boxes in the isles...... .
