  1. This does seem rather expensive with on going fees. simple motion detector, or even simpler a panic button fitted to the horn for a few hundred baht.
  2. Gambling, the scourge of so many problems that seems very prevalent in Thailand, They borrow money from loan sharks to keep gambling and it spirals out of control, in my experience women here are the worst offenders.
  3. Falang ''Why did you leave your Ex ?'' ''Him jealous me, and stab my mum and attacked me'' ''Yeh ok well I have to run along now Bye.''
  4. The point I was making was if you take along your wife most banks overlook the LOR.
  5. Yeh I registered my car in my province also, funny thing happened one day, I was stopped at a red light, and noticed the 'car' in front had the exact same number same province, I followed it for a while, dash cam running, already to be a sleuth, after about 10min, it dawned on me he had white/green pick up plates, and me well car plates. DOH! LMFO.
  6. To open an account with a tourist visa can be done BUT, far easier to take your wife along, with your marriage cert. her I D, her house book. I would use the Krungsri Bank, aka. yellow bank, this works in most banks. once you have your one year extension you are then also allowed to open a 'Mee Tae' savings account, which pays 1.1 % interest up to 1m. 4,400 a year, better than a poke in the eye with a sharp stick. edit Your wife IS your agent.
  7. Maybe it depends on if they have cancelled your reg number, and re-issued your reg number to another vehicle already.
  8. Hi, i know this has been asked before, but can't find the link. My friend has just returned after 2 1/2 years, he needs new car tax, I know there is a cut off point where you have to re-register the car, i.e. new number. but how long is that ??
  9. hope this helps. But as said not all Immigration offices follow the same rules, and IMO b'coz they don't know or understand them, just make them up for 'their' office. (like many officials here) if not they lose face and will never admit to being wrong. most don't require the photos. TRAT I. O.
  10. Maybe in Chaing Rai but not in many other provinces, full package of all docs and home visits Every year. not only that but when my new passport arrives, about 3 months after my last extension, Trat want me to do the whole process again with new photos 'n all.
