  1. I was asking my wife about roadside breakdown and she reckons they charge by the kilometer. I live on a mountainous Island, <deleted>.
  2. Their official site for e-visa says 35$ but i think now its more expensive. You can return after paying Cambodian Immigration 300b for not staying overnight, I never had a problem with I.O. there.
  3. I think the bus terminates in Trat then transport to the boarder is needed, you can get an e-visa (was 35USD) saving a whole page of your passport make sure you go to the official govt site, walk across border, pay an extra 300b for not staying overnight.
  4. Innocent until proved guilty, being charged does not make you guilty.
  5. So as most of us are on retirement/marriage extensions it seems, this is just a load of bolocs. I can just imagine trying to upload 6 photos and 13 other documents. I can remember their other useless sites, when trying to upload just passport details for the covid jabs it just didn't work (outside BKK).
  6. There are so much easier ways, if the bus say carries 15 kids, give them a numbered band on boarding, and handed back to the driver on alighting, like a band for swimming pool lockers, plus an emergency button in the bus to sound an alarm. The drivers are the main problem not carrying out their duties as should be expected of them.
  7. How does that work ? What exactly does that entail ? we can only hope none of this will be dependent on drivers or teachers.
  8. Should have been the first thing to do, not drive around for an hour on a motorbike, and i'd guess no helmet.
  9. And most are near the entrance easy to make a quick get-away.
  10. Well you should deposit all of the deposit no pain then init. It is law in some countries like OZ. deposit held by a government agency, but TIT.
  11. Seems it was both him and his missus on overstay, deport both and the frigging Rottweilers.
  12. Give it a try, French food, filled baguettes and Indian food, samosas are street food, I presume you won't be there for long if your just doing a boarder bounce, you don't need malls and hopefully you won't need a hospital. Also if you can speak or understand Thai it's a very similar language. Enjoy.
  13. He's probably on a volunteer visa. There are 3 in my area at least, living on charity, the dogs hang out on the side of the road all day waiting for their 'meals on wheels'.
  14. So nothing to say pit bulls should be muzzled. Many tourists here are scared to walk the streets, because of the Soi dogs. 'Charites' going around all day feeding Soi dogs is one of my pet hates. pun nearly intended.
  15. Just lay down in the street and have a sleep the cops will take you home ????
  16. Sorry but I forgot to mention this was in Hong Kong, is that what you were talking about ?
  17. Illegal or not, I did just that when my OZ friend died here, but I did have permission from his next of kin in NZ, to take out money to pay for his funeral, hospital bill, and get his body returned to our local Wat (43k) from police forensic dept.
  18. I was just wondering with BKB do they give you a specific date to collect it and is it dated for that day ? I'm interested out of curiosity really, as my IO insist bank letters & statement must be the same day you apply. Krungsri bank take 10 min. And pay .9% interest once you have a year extension and open a Mee t account. I have only just realized you are talking about a 12month statement, but even so i got one in 10min at Krungsri
  19. Many many years ago in the UK, my BL found a wallet with 50 pounds inside, he took it to the police station and was told if not claimed in 3 months its yours, at the end of 3 months, of he went to the cops to claim his prize, ''sorry sir the owner came in yesterday '' ????
  20. I agree the OP is referring to the tax sticker, but that does include 3rd party insurance, BUT that only covers injury to other people and not property, that is purchased separately. So its up to you but i prefer to use a testing station aka; yellow cog symbol, rather than deal with the transport office, I pay 200b for a car check and 50b to have the book & tax sent ems back to me (given a receipt you can show the cops if stopped) . insurance i buy from the testing station.
  21. Ahhhh the fire death trap, remember it well i stayed there 8/88, the lift used to be full when the alarm went off until the last person got out. Is it still there ?
