I think they will let you change it... but as ubon said it up to his mood
if not.. just go to another country and get your retirement visa
-
why you cant go to savanakhet? You can get as many visas as you can... problem is the IO when entering thailand..
and if your passport is already full of TR visas and makes problem.. then you will have problem probably every border...

now this is interesting.. because some of my friends went to nonthaburi immigration.. and they have new regulations. Now all foreigners in nonthaburi must provide a letter and some documents (given by imm) from the land owner every 90 days report! and yes every 90 days.
So... how can online 90 days works?! you will scan and post on their website or e-mail?!

i was thinking about Transit visa. It says 1 day on the visa.. and its much cheaper than other visa types...
and yes you need to leave the country and enter to another country...

what about Learning Thai Language?
you can try to apply Faculty of Thai Language and Literature. You can check universities.. there are lot. Or try Communication Science... There are many you can apply.
But be aware that prices are higher than normal thai citizen. If you apply to a normal level university for a BA.. it should be around 50.000 - 70.000 baht per semester.. and 4 year university has 8 semesters..
So far the best option for you is this... to be a student. With this you also get permission to leave the country and come back.. All you need to be careful is attending your classes. If immigration understands that your not attending your classes, they will cancel your visa. Although you can fail 4 years. so actually you can stay 7 years without any problem via failing.. well in 7 years i do believe you can find a wife.... well then NON-O visa. Which will open new freedoms with new problems... ????
many university have international college... i think its around 53.000 per semester.

its nothing about vlogging or else. And its not counting a job in thailand.
I have a Turkish passport. I will tell you what happened. Its because of your nationality and religion they just felt suspicious because you enter thailand often. Thats all.
Next time present them your return plane ticket and explain them your just here for holiday and visit your girlfriend. And yes, a letter from your girlfriend and some photos would do great help. thats all you need. Also if you enter thailand again right after you left thailand.. thats kinda suspicious too. It rings alarm your using tourist visa just to live in thailand.
and if you want to stay in thailand, i suggest you to find a work or apply to a university as a student. otherwise its not easy anymore
-
hi. I dont know your nationality but one of my Turkish friends went there for non-o 90 days.
his flight was morning to malaysia and back to bkk evening. They questioned him hard in malaysia. He got rid of it because it was his first trip. And also people around me suggest to stay 1 night in malaysia.
Another friend went there (cameroon passport) they interview with him for hours and then let him go but put some red note on his passport saying thats his last entry to malaysia.
So, sometimes nationality matters i think. If i were you i would stay 1 night there just to avoid any conflicts. Otherwise i didnt hear any problem about 90 days there. Just long time interview if your not spending 1 night, and they might block your next entrance if you go there often.
I dont know but this is what happened to my 2 friends.
-
i would get a new TR visa or elite.
no more problems. You want to stay 30 days. Just get a TR visa it should be 1000 baht.
I would go to Laos and enter thailand using friendship bridge. Probably no problems
I also think if you get a TR visa... still no problem. But just in case dont fly if you want to feel.. more comfortable and sure
-
my friend from germany went for his 90 days in nonthaburi immigration. They told him from now on all farangs must bring a letter and some documents given by the immigration for the landlord for every 90 days report! yes, for every 90 days report
-
hi. I did my NON-O 90 days 2 months ago. All perfect.
all you will spend for 50 baht going to laos 50 baht for coming back for the bridge bus. Plus Laos visa which is max 1600 baht.
if your going by your own car, you can park really next to the border. Its inside the border area. Theres also another private parking area which is 250 baht per day.
if your going by taxi.. it should be around 200 baht from the bus station. tuk tuk will probably ask the same.
Just be nice to the guys who will ask you to cross border by their car (200 baht). And they will say its faster than bus. Personally i dont know its true or not. Because i think they also must do some paper work for the car so it will take some time too. And you cant say hey forget about it after your in the care already. Be nice because you leave your car where they walk around ???? Just say ohh thanks i dont want my friend is waiting for me. ????
PS: just in case please come back to post after your trip and let us know all ok or not.

You have to change the page I posted to English by clicking Eng at the top of the page. It is the correct page to get a non immigrant visa issued by immigration based upon being a family member of a Thai not at a embassy which is the same the one you posted is for but not for marriage. The following is what it is for.
interesting.. hehe thanks.

Wrong page. This is the correct one. https://www.immigration.go.th/content/service_79
The change visa page is a mess and it is all wrong. You have to switch to Thai and use Google translate to find the correct links.
the page i posted is in english already and its how to get NON-O from outside of thailand.
the second page i posted is for extension.
if is not updated... dont know about that
the page you posted seems also good.. thanks

i have a funny story about this and believe me its real!
I was getting my NON-O visa at the thai embassy, the guy in front of me was getting a tourist visa.. officer asked him if he has 20K in the bank and has bank book or statement for it. He said yes. Pass
I gave my papers... no problem.. For NON-O you need 3-4 things thats all
The guy after me again for tourist visa.. And he was like ohh god i dont have 20K.. well his turn, officer asked nothing... Pass
funny eh?
i would put 20K in the bank for any case or on you

hi guys.
i went to this website which is thai gov website. Its for Non-O (marriage visa) documents.
https://www.immigration.go.th/content/service_75
there is definitely no sentences about 400K baht in the bank. Im not sure but if someone check it again and correct me if im wrong please.
BUT to get a 1 year NON-O visa... this is the website you need to read
https://www.immigration.go.th/content/service_18
which clearly says 400K in the bank if you dont have any 40K income
-
all i see is... Thai Imm trying to do things more harder than now as if its not hard enough.
I have an American friend and gets his NON-O (thai wife) 1 year extension by a income letter from his embassy. His income is not real. He just tells the embassy and they give a letter, thats all. Now some might thing its ok, some might thing its not fair at all. I think IMM noticed this and decided to take an action, which is fair enough.
What i dont understand is... why your income should be 40K? I mean when thai ppl get married their income not even 30K (most of them) so why the law changes when it comes to farang... Also why both husband and wife income not count?! One of my friends income is 31K + 8K = 39K he cant get an extension... for 1K.
If i understood correctly the most important thing they changed is this certificate the income letter and make sure you really have that income. The rest seems all same. For the retirements still no problem because i have another friend from the UK, and as mentioned before his pension come to Krungthai every month and no problem. He can use it with his Krungthai card. Also Bangkok Bank is great about this. They are more pro.
I believe their next action will be about NON-O 90 days visa run thing. As we all know they already stopped it in big borders. And i believe more is coming. So.. its really becoming more difficult and stressful getting NON-O and stay on it.
Thanks for the great info though! This is why i love this website.

arrive to nong khai. Go to the nearest ATM. Get 20k put it in something or somewhere safe. Cross come back spent it.
i have witnessed they sometimes ask sometimes not. Probably up to your visa numbers. They will let you go to the nearest ATM also. I saw that too. But u need to talk lot. If i remember correct there r no ATM around the border.

hi.
as far as i understand: at the moment your friend has a not extended NON-B visa right? but he cannot extend it because he needs to cancel his ED visa first.
well if his ED visa already expired.... and he left the country... he shouldnt have ED visa anymore if im not mistaken. Plus he got his non-o from laos already as you said. So all old visas canceled auto. There must be something else
What did they suggest him at the immigration?

He is not divorced yet. If he had a multiple entry non-o visa issued by an embassy or consulate it would remain valid after getting divorced,
Only a extension of stay based upon marriage ends on the date of divorce.
ok thanks
