TR Visa 60days Savannahket
Stevey replied to Stevey's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
well if this is indeed the case it’s a good job that I enquired isn’t it. I had a stamp in a previous passport along long long time ago saying “Do not apply here again “ from Vientiane. Because I didn’t have a similar Notice from Savannahket this led me to believe it was possible to do again especially as well over a year has passed. With cell regeneration I’m practically a different person a year on. -
TR Visa 60days Savannahket

“Your 2 border bounces per annum are over and above entering with a valid visa by land” i’m confused by your statement. I arrived by air ( visa exemption) extended it 1month. I went to the border at NongKhai and returned with a new visa exemption by land ( first land entry of the year ) i was 3 months in Thailand and my flight was leaving in about 10 days so I extended that first overland visa exemption. That is up on the 19th this month. So in my mind I have two choices use my second and last land border exemption at NongKhai and then return and get 1 month extendable for month of go outside and get a TR from Savannahket or Vientiane. Am I correct? I obtained that recent TR from Savannahket December 19th 2023. You are saying tha Savannahket will refuse me ? Am I ok to cross the border and return for visa Exempt stamp ? I believe I’m yet too use my second allocation, correct? -

Dec 2022 was the last TR in question. I have been here a while on this trip. I arrived last Nov2023 Visa exemption and extended it locally in NongKhai, so two months here. Then did a border run to those Mongrels at Vientiane border and have extended that so I’ve got 4 months in on 19 March. Actually my flight was leaving Feb 29 2024 but it took off with out me as I didn’t want to leaving my stepson just yet. I’m looking to go back early May. Instead of using up my last exemption over land I’m looking to go the TR route -

I got that last Tourist visa from Savannahket on the weekend of my last Birthday. 17 December 2022 and I opened it a few days later. So it’s been a while. I actually live/stay near to NongKhai but I have that border. The Lao Border Guards always try to make some issue. And last time I heard my mate went to Vientiane to make a visa and was forced to stay for a week in Vientiane because they want people to make appointments? Absolute ฟankers !!! In fact that’s a good point can anyone confirm or failing anyone just someone confirm that Savannahket is still walk in before 12pm. i enjoyed that last trip and my epic trip down to Pakse. Yeah.. I’d borrowed the guesthouse Sounantha owners old Honda Wave and said I was going to have a look around the area and don’t worry if I don’t come back I might stay in another local town if like the place. I actually ended up in Pakse in the south. I google mapped it and it said about 3.5hrs. After 3.5 hours when I was filling up with fuel I google mapped it again and it said 3.5hrs .. Jesus Christ !! I ended up in Pakse at night had some noodle Stayed at the Lankham Hotel and in the morning Rode the tits off the Wave like Barry Sheen on Yabba back up to Savannahket and got there in about 7hours. Mus have filled the tank five times I was burning so much fuel. Be very careful of google maps in that part of the world. -
Hi to everyone. Just a quick one , but this could escalate into a long thread about what a 5hithouse I am, that I don’t know what I’m talking about and that I should get a penis extension. But all I wanna know is am I alright to pop over to Savannahket to get another TR visa ? I got one about a year or more ago when I had run out of land border crossing allocations. And was faced with as NongKhai immigration advised me was my only other choice other than marriage to my Isaan allocation to have to fly out and in again which would have been a massive ask from NongKhai and back. I was then advised by some TV legends that going to Savannahket and returning would not require one of my entries because I would be entering with the visa in my passport. This was a lesson in not fully believing everything you read on here because it was only one member who pointed this out with many other believing like me it was the actual act of crossing by land that was restricted to two ‘ goes ‘ when it is the actual visa exemption that is two a calendar year. Hope one person is put right on that rule. So my query is if I go for a run down to Savannahket is it gonna be a success like last time or will I possibly get refused on grounds I had one already or other spanner in the works. Feel free to say my post was overly long so I can picture you typing it. And don’t forget the classic confused emoji.

In the village you’ll see a teen riding a modified Wave with stupid bicycle size wheels and somehow they’ve gone to the trouble of being able to switch the lights off. On one occasion I pulled out onto the main village road from a side Soi and one of these kids nearly hit me as I pulled out and couldn’t see him. Then there’s the dogs sleeping on the road that get up when they see the light approaching and the tractors, Salengs and Samlors with zero lights or reflective items displayed at night. And no one does a thing, people are too scared to complain.

UK State pension frozen when residing in Thailand

Well I suppose that’s all our fate if you are not loaded. I’m 49 just and have the step boy 6 and the Isaan harridan to support for my natural. Plus 7 dogs. It’s a real shame how things have worked out for you, being fixed up at the taxpayers expense and charities trying to help you but you have be away from the dogs. One thing I forgot about when I was away for 2& 1/2 years was how green England is. Getting out to Worcestershire and the Welsh borders and Staffordshire, pretty much anywhere is breathtaking scenery in the summer. well hope things turn out well for you. -

So what’s the situation now ? You sound like you’ve given up on going back , you you ‘did ‘ like it as opposed to ‘ do ‘ like it ? -
The whole religion is absolute 8ull5hit here. My girlfriend’s Father has just given up working at 70 plus. He now about to join the monk hood. I had a big fall out with my missus I’ve documented it here and my 5 year old step son told me he had told him in Thai “Haam Hak Steve”. Saying he Forbids him to love me. The stuff I did for that guy built him a solar system and paid for half of it ! He steadfastly will not vaccinate any of his dogs. He has zero compassion and re-married quickly after his wife died. Total 5hithouse

UK State pension frozen when residing in Thailand

Ah. Well you seem in great spirits Tiber. Where was your residence in Thailand. So you need anything from the house. I’m coming back from the land of lies in a few weeks. It’s the least anyone can do, who has been entertained by your international saga of death awhile back. -
I remember my first funeral here. I'd met the woman 6months previous and she was really nice. A change from the usual Isaan know it all fishwives. She was 50 and it was mid 2022 and I heard about how she had suddenly been diagnosed with a cancer of sorts and saw a pic of her in hospital with swollen eyes. Within a week she was history. The girlfriend asked me along to the Ngarn Sop funeral but anticipating a lot of sadness I declined although I did make a good connection with her when we'd met before. I spotted my girlfriend on the map with her sharinoher iPhone positioned. I guess that the pre funeral was over and they were at the ' Tee Pow' burning place. I made my way up there. I was alone in the forest, everyone had gone back post the ceremony. I was surprised to find that the Tee Pow was in a clearing in a forest and didn't have the usual white structure for cremation but there was brick surrounded pit on the floor where a fire was burning. As I made my way closer I realised that she was on fire. This cremation was done publicly. A roaring fire had been created and she had been placed on top. I didn't get to close or look to hard but it was an eerie sight. I made my way back to the house in the village. Everyone was there laughing and joking like it was a wedding. I , as a Falang with an actual soul, was emotional inside but the family seemed quite jovial about it all. Next was the night time doo where I learned more about these people. She was one of 9 siblings. Her mother is the sister of my girlfriend's Father. It seems having 8 kids back then was common. I sat amongst the family and visitors and detected an undertone of sadness. I sat near her mother in her mid 70's who sat alone. I think she was very upset. I heard a man laughing on our table with one of the relatives that it's good for people to die so he can have a party, dark humour indeed. I heard that some of the men had to go back and retrieve some bone from the funeral pyre. And then it was all over. I have always been of the thinking that burial is such opulence taking up valuable ground but after seeing so many people disappear which put a trace here I am in two minds. I’ve buried every cat and dog I’ve owned and feel they are still around but under the ground. There is just something so final about cremation that I can’t get my head around it. The last dog I buried a few weeks ago I dug a hole for out of respect. One final effort of sweat to counter the lack of effort the in vaccinating it against the distemper virus it had succumbed to. My Thai girlfriend would have thrown her in a refuse bin. Such is the divide in respect for a person and a dog who can similarly dream and feel pain and distress at being lost from its owner. Although in my experience has no concept that some one is missing from the group.

There’s a level of interest to know cut off point. Absolutely no one needs to know some egg heads opinion on what powers the sun or what dark matter is. I have little interest personally in there guesses of what dark matter is or how a star explodes 4million light years ago has just reached my ears. When I hear stuff about the galaxy etc I just glaze over in half belief. On the night in the local shop when I asked the assembled villagers why the Moon was white and they couldn’t answer was surprising.

I don’t think I know the answers to your other questions but I’d like to think that by the time these dog cruelty specialists have reached adulthood they may have wondered about how the immediate machinations of what’s happening around them. Like how is it dark in Thailand when they are on a video call to me in the UK.

COVID-19 infections rising, public advised to wear face masks
Stevey replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
Didn’t a nurse come out and say she was involved in the Boris near death experience and say it was overblown? I saw loads, like my self who are ‘ 4at 8astards ‘ Who went thru the whole thing unscathed. Take Steve the Electrician in 2020 at the dangerous heights in the 1000 worker food factory I worked in. He had one of those bellies that hangs over his belt then down like a massive hot water bottle. He got Covid like everyone else and came back in unaffected. I believe that it’s just a coincidence that being fat is a contributing factor to death. When so many people these days are fat it’s only statistically likely that when a patient ends up on a table with tubes in ‘im for breakfast that he could be fat. Next you’ll be banning fat people from driving coz they are involved in more car accidents. -

You’re not him are you ? Jesus Christ how much longer did she need to go on for. He put her sad demise down to Covid killing her. He omitted the fact that she will have been ancient which was the main issue. If he had not shown a profile pic similar to Benny Hill showing that he would never see 60 again putting her near to 80years old we could have been fooled that she was a 50 year old half marathoner mother mercilessly cut down in her prime. This guy I described, like you, was more than happy for the world to stop and lives to be ruined in an attempt to save his late seventies mother and her friends. Like you he was probably drawing his pension and likely didn’t give two hoots for the destruction of lives that you and him were rooting for. I'm alright Jack. Tell us how Africa was largely unaffected by it all with no vax ? -

No mid to late 40’s engineers are dying from Covid or the effects of contracting Covid on the life threatening condition they already have. I remember at the height of the propaganda when most people had masked profile pics displayed an idiot in a Thai travel FB group I subscribe to decide to blast me for my push back through the whole thing. He said “ I’ve watched you from afar with your heartless comments making light of this terrible dangerous disease. My Mother has just died of Covid “. This guy had a profile that showed him to be well over 60 and by the shape of him he was luck to be still alive. So his mother who surely would have been late seventies had no rights to be still alive anyway. -

And both the debates he held were attended by only a few MPs. The rest of the MPs that were elected to represent their constituents stayed away by order of the goverment whips. Absolutely disgraceful behaviour by MPs who we elected to go to parliament and speak and listen on our behalf of the constituents who put them into the job in the first place. The MPs who did not attend were looking out for their own interests so as not to rock any boat that might hinder any future prospects in the future. Cowards. -

Anyone who went along with it all was a mug. No Vax here and never wore a mask unless impossible to carry out my business. Got Covid once at the start on the day of Lockdown 2020 in the UK and one week after Omicron was talked about in South Africa in Thailand. Most over blown load of rubbish and still it’s silence about the ‘above average death ‘ still being massive in now in 2023.
