  1. Unfortunately these ‘ normal ‘ Thai guys who @jts-khorat appears to support have this on their mind and are waiting for the opportunity to strike. Any man who thinks that interfering with a minor is normal needs to be dealt with, imagine trying that in the UK?
  2. The first time the child was touched. was the time I described in the shop where the guy went straight in and did it and I responded in kind. And the second time it in a massage shop where there was a guy and his wife just sitting around, and for some reason the guy instigated some kind of touching with little Dang where he went for a quick pinch. And as I’ve said before Dang has been doing this to me I’ve late and I just decided in that split 2nd to let it go. As I am aware, it is cultural that is carried out, and I just thought you know what this is my favourite massage shop and I’m not gonna make a problem right now considering Dang has been trying to grab my dick for the last week unsuccessfully. Actually I did have a problem in that shop as we left as I described before, but I’ll mention it again where that man and a friend of his who later came into the shop, decided to start talking about Dang’s hair being too long. And then, when I challenged them about the fact that there is nothing wrong with his hair being longer than the US Marine haircut that some children get. This idiot, who had a feeling he might be cleverer than me decided to say yeah, but what about hair lice. Oh so are all the girls going to have the same cut as well because they’re all in the same classroom, I assume they’ve all got hair lice, then as their hair is long? He had absolutely no answer for this, in fact he had his mouth open with no answer. The fact of the matter is, I’ve come to realise that Thailand is a country that loves repetition of everything. It repeats the same festivals and the same culture constantly. That’s not a problem to me. The hair style of young boys is another tradition. On the hair cut thing I’m gonna post a couple of pics of the hair. I know this is a police state and everything but if I hadn’t of insisted in his hair being grown out we would never have the photos of his hair being not of a marine. Who are the local government and the wishes of some local idiots to deprive us of this. To actual have the gaul to instruct parent that a boys hair has to be removed while a girls can grow is ridiculous. As soon as I left the girlfriend has it all his cut off to please the people who can’t stop poking their nose in saying when’s he getting his hair cut. She will go along with anything that is the norm and will not rock the boat. Although she is one of the very few that never entertained the vaccine so she has that in her favour, unfortunately not out of reasoned internal discussion or the fact that all the old people in the village a year after the outbreak from one country away were still alive unvaxed, but more out of … she didn’t fancy it.
  3. Oh brill another funny. No additional advice ? Nothing ? Too late now anyway now. She voted for someone she knows nothing about. Thanks to the Political section of AN ???? for no advice at all. @StayinThailand2much did proffer the Democrats , I told my girlfriend (or was it boyfriend hahahahaha Hilarious ???? ) to vote Democrats and she said “ great I’ll do that … what’s a democrat ? “ Great Job. At least the few visa advice posters are spot on and what makes the site worthwhile.
  4. You seem to know abit about what’s going on politically. I hoped I’d get a few answers of use but as is the norm on the members are a bunch of keyboard warriors. I’m gleaning MFP are a good choice to form a majority against the current government? My girlfriend has little knowledge of politics, but he’s going to vote, any suggestions ?
  5. I believe Google and Lazada are pushing the other brands. Google Bravecto and see how every other brand appears but no Bravecto. It is there but you have to put the work in. But as I say a shop I had a conversation with said they are stopping production. Which I’ve actually suspected a long time
  6. Have you Titre tested in Thailand, how much. 700baht for Bravecto from a shop is reasonable. But don’t know what that would be now.
  7. Could anybody quickly tell me who my Girlfriend should be Voting for tomorrow, she is between NongKhai and BuengKan , in NongKhai. She hasn’t a clue. Is there a particular party that is best to vote for in order to oust the present Government or is this Government ok, less hassle. I don’t follow politics here. Hurry up she’s going to bed soon.
  8. “ˆˆThis. This is absolutely normal behaviour in Isaan. Attacking a local man for it could very easily lead to a visit in the police station, or more likely a lot worse repercussions. You were lucky to get a 'get out of jail free' card here without even noticing” So you would advise any Falang who is with their child who is then interfered with in the most private of body parts who then cry’s and is scared , to do nothing and laugh it off ? Okay… what about with the Wife can any Isaan farm labourer touch your wife and you just say nothing? Do you just let people ride roughshod over you unless behind your keyboard ? And being asked where his Dad is while in a shop when I’m the only father he has a concept of is asked with pure Malice.
  9. I hate to be the Grammar Police but so you mean it’s ivermectin, nothing more ? I’m confused. Is it ‘ nothing more ‘ than Ivermectin? Surely it’s the Endectocide that’s doing the tick prevention. I’m very unsure about all these pesticides. When I know Bravecto works I’d like to stay with it. I’m unsure why the shop said they are ceasing production.
  10. I ran into a Thai person a few months ago who had some of this. I do believe she said it was about 70 Bart. I poo pooed this stuff saying if this works then why are NexGuard and Bravecto 600 Bart up a pack every three months. Surely this is just ivermectin for parasites which does have its uses in guarding against heartworm ? But not (Hep and Mat) ticks and fleas ? I’ve never used just ivermectin though. I will look it up and see if it’s a possibility for the future. I’m just worried about changing from something that works
  11. Yes I’ve heard of the holistic approach. There is a FB page called ‘Bravecto NexGuard Etc kills dogs’ Some very out there concoctions promoted. I’m totally open to the suggestions that these products can cause side effects but I have yet to see one for myself. This FB group comes across as a bunch of AntiVaxers ( mind you I wouldn’t entertain the latest one for Humans) some of them actually are anti vax and do ‘ Titre ‘ tests to evaluate their dogs present immunity to the prevalent viruses around them. Saying that dogs are over vaccinated, I really have no clue. Do you leave the bandana on all the of time ?
  12. I would like to take the opportunity to advise anyone new to dogs in Thailand of my experience because I’ve currently got seven dogs but I’ve had quite a few and I’ve had to learn the hard way, and lost a few dogs through been Laxey Daisical which should not have happened and should’ve still been alive today On the subject of Bravecto Chews VS Spot On… I always went for the chews thinking that one hundred percent of it was going in the dog if more expensive. But after not have chews every time I ordered I plumped for Spot-On 3 month liquid tube and have never looked back. I have gone well over 4 months with no sign the dogs are leaving their show dog condition. Not one of 10 dogs I had at one sitting would eat a chew and having to mash it up for each dog was a chore as the chew has a very tough consistency. One tip for Spot On application of anything is Do not put the whole tube on the skin at once. Pick lots of sites on the back not just one. If the Mar gets a wet patch in one place you can guarantee he they will shake 300baht of that liquid in all directions. Dip Dip Dip that stuff down the back bit by bit to prevent over saturation of the area. As I say I would leave it as long as possible to apply the next dose. As @BritTim said he’s had one 3month dose last a year, and I can believe it. I was too skinflint to buy it at the start thinking it was too expensive at 500 Baht plus per three-month dose for an average of six dogs. But after every month having to take at least one of the dogs, sometimes 2 to the vets to get treated for blood parasite one day, I just said no, enough is enough and haven’t looked back. One problem I did have with one of our dogs, Wolfie, she likes to hang around with the dog next door. They are literally boyfriend and girlfriend. Now I had her and all the other female dogs ‘Tam man ‘ ed recently, hysterectomy, speying. 3500baht a dog with blood tests. Now, although Wolfie, along with the rest of them gets perfecto spot-on, which protects against ticks and therefore blood parasite, she had, when tested, a low blood cell count. Which prevented her from having her operation that day. This was a nuisance because I had driven 14 hours non-stop to get back from Chang Rai from a motorbike tour back to PhonPhiSai at 1Am and had to wake up early and get the Wolfie ‘Done’. There is a ‘ Q’ as they call it in Thai and miss that appointment and you could be waiting weeks to get the next appointment. So the Bravecto which was of recent application did not prevent her developing this Blood Parasite. I was sent away with 10 days of really expensive treatment 2000baht i believe and on return her blood was ok. Wolfies boyfriend next door has no treatment and like most alpha males I have come across doesn’t get sick and seems to have immunity to everything. My two original dogs suffered horribly from Distemper until I found a vet who would put them to sleep. While this dog , Wolfies boyfriend , is flea bitten and with ticks has never been vaccinated or shown or any affection just kept on a chain for most of the day, and let go at night to prevent him running after motorcycles , while he watches all my dogs run after motorcycles, they have a great life. Yes next doors dog has had no problems while all the dogs over two years in the Soi including my dogs died. That’s was my fault actually. I never took those two original dogs back to the vets to get a booster vaccine so they were riding on their own naturally immunity and that was evidently not enough as all dogs in the area perished. Mine lasted longer as a fed them. Others in the neighbourhood will have died from starvation and dehydration as their loving Thai owners put a bowl of sticky rice on the floor for dinner that they couldn’t get to as they will have been paralysed by the Virus. It’s an eye-opener on life and death, the way that dogs and humans live in Thailand. On the subject of Canine Distemper. Our vet said she was using a new treatment for this virus which has previously been untreatable Mai Mee Lak Sah. Our Vet, who is a young woman about 30 from the looks of things who I was sceptical of at the start as she had just left university, has proved herself to be a fantastic Vet on many occasions. I can totally recommend her she is in PhonPhiSai NongKhai. Hope somebody picks something up From what I’ve learned. Although most AN TV members know everything ????????
  13. Well if you’re buying from Vets or pet shops in Thailand where shop owners seem to think that a 30% profit is not enough and they have to hide on 50% then how much are your boxes costing?
  14. Over the last year to six months, I have found it increasingly difficult to find Bravecto for sale. I would search Lazada first and although suggestions of Bravecto would appear below the search box as I typed when I pressed search No Bravecto could be founds except 1 shop selling at a high price. Then I would google search and this would normally throw some results up which were on Lazada that were hidden and at reasonable prices. Or if nothing appeared I’d search shops on Shopee. After a lot of searching I would normally find something at a satisfactory price and that seemed genuine. Now this last time now that the dogs are now due a dose I started the search. I only found one shop that seems genuine and that has to paid in advance through LinePay App. When I attempted to pay I had a message from the shop saying the the 6boxes I was attempting to order were now sold, a bummer coz they were a reasonable 650baht each for spot on 10/20kg dogs. I just shot a message over to the shop again and ask them did they have any more packs in now and the Kids are coming back. ” บริษัทจะไม่ผลิตแล้วค่ะ ทางบริษัทแต้งมาแบบนี้ค่ะ “ This reads that the company has stopped production. I am gutted if this is the real situation because you here many bad stories about these medications for ticks and fleas but although Bravecto gets a bad rap I’ve given it to more than 10 dogs and over seven of those dogs have had it for two years and I’ve never had a problem. They now look show dogs but once you stop giving that stuff they turn into mangy, flea and tick mutts that just bite and scratch themselves all day. It’s no fun After setting out my experience I will now open the floor to comments from the floor.
  15. Oh, that has cheered me up. Anybody flashing about in an expensive watch deserves to get it stolen as do people who wear three baht chains in public. What is their point ? I had £3k spare I didn’t need. ?
  16. Oh what a lovely sentiment. Was that aimed at me or @spidermike007
  17. And you’ve wasted a lot of the little amount of time you have reading all my fictional posts.
  18. All ways came to the rescue with advice many times over the years. Will be greatly missed.
  19. Great post. On the fishing. I have tried to catch snake head and giant snake head for two years. Even got a bait caster reel which I have learned to use pretty well the hard way. When I first got it I wanted to smash it with a hammer Because I didn’t understand the settings and the technique, now I’m an absolute wizard with it, but I’ve never caught a fish. I even bought a small plastic boat so if you go anywhere on different reservoirs. That came in more useful for getting reacquainted with my lures when I got them, caught in a tree or a patch of weed. I can go back the next day and retrieve them. Unless in the case of the last time, when some Thai people saw me lose it and the next day, I went back with the boat and someone had waded in got it themselves. That was in a canal basin network, where people were using those nets that you lift up in the air and pull out all the small fish. When I got there, I could hear the fisher people talking about how I’d come back to get the lure but someone had already taken it, lovely bunch. towards the end of my fishing exploits, I have had near hits from snakeheads and giant snake heads and it is really exciting, but they are very difficult to catch. And on many occasions when I talk with local men at certain fishing spots, they will outright say you cannot catch them. You have to harpoon them with those arrows on the rope. Although I watched a guy shooting from a bridge recently and he showed me they come up for air and that’s when you hit them. Also people use a frog on a bamboo pole. Or hanging from line on bendy sticks I’ve seen it all to avoid actual fishing. On the language. I find that some Thais or mainly Isaans just have no ability to understand the language unless it’s being spoke by a Thai. While a person standing next to them understands. I’ve experienced this many times. And you must literally become Thai and mimic a local to trick them into understanding. Good luck with your girl. I’m currently sitting on the DMK to BKK bus back to Blighty. I’ve done 2 years and 3 months here now it’s time to get some money made as I’ve made a massive dent in my life savings so far. Dangs got his iPhone. I’ve got some good IP cameras around so I can just say hello when he walks past. I’ve tried to mould him as best I can but he surprises me daily of late with the English he comes out with. Like yesterday telling an English guy I met “ See you again ! “ He’ll just start singing English language songs he’s picked up off YouTube. He is proof I feel of the difference in a boy who in his case has been shown love in buckets versus his brother 15 who was abandoned by his Bargirl mom and grew up with her sister. And is now feral and I could not imagine a situation where she and he hugged. I do feel sorry for him but cannot forgive his bad habits and him also being light fingered. I’ve had to chain my motorcycles together with a big chain as a deterrent and hide away all stealables that he but mainly his friends would enjoy pilfering. Well at least since the rains have come BKK is cool and dry tonight. And back in PhonPhiSai I hope Mother Nature will water all my trees. I can totally see why you have gone off the people. I’m not there totally yet. Right arrived at Swampy !!
