  1. car registration 100% electric vehicle group (BEV: Battery Electric Vehicle) January – March 2022, total 1,251 vehicles ( 0.5% of total car registrations in Thailand, total 249,361 vehicles) No. 1 ORA Good Cat : 503 cars (40.2 percent market share) 2nd place, MG EP : 244 cars (19.5% market share) 8th place MG ZS EV : 39 cars (3.1% market share) https://autolifethailand.tv/sales-report-ev-thailand-q1-2022/
  2. 3 reasons why we shouldn't listen to today EV Drivers https://www.field-dynamics.co.uk/we-shouldnt-listen-to-early-ev-adopters/ “1,000kms in a breeze:” CATL unveils new Qilin EV battery with incredible specs Expected to begin mass production and reach the market in 2023, Qilin has already racked up its first customers, with Chinese electric vehicle start-ups Li Auto and Hozon New Energy Automobile already signing on to purchase the battery for its vehicles. https://thedriven.io/2022/06/28/1000kms-in-a-breeze-catl-unveils-new-qilin-ev-battery-with-incredible-specs/
  3. As this thread points out that WLTP This has been replaced by WLTP. It gives a more realistic measure of range When people are doing their research on EV's they need to aware if Brand A is providing their figures based on the WLTP testing protocol. and Brand B is providing their figures based on NEDC testing protocol The NEDC figures will be higher but will they be accurate in that if you test drive both vehicles will they go the full distance As we have already seen on this thread car manufacturers are using the outdated NEDC testing protocol and the WLTP testing protocol for same car, same battery
  4. From the link that you provided The WLTP cycle, which is much more realistic than the NEDC, includes as many actual driving conditions as possible: urban, suburban, and a combination of the two. For electric vehicles, for example, a car with a range of 400 km according to the NEDC has a range of only slightly over 300 km according to the WLTP. So if you want to know how far you can travel before you need to charge you use WLTP
  5. Most people when they are looking how many km they can travel look at combined figures be it electric/petrol/diesel I have already shown you where you can puchased a brand new leaf for 1,085,000 baht to difference between Leaf and MG ZS is 130,000 baht The old lab test – called the New European Driving Cycle (NEDC) was designed in the 1980s. While the old NEDC test determined test values based on a theoretical driving profile, the WLTP cycle was developed using real-driving data, gathered from around the world. WLTP therefore better represents everyday driving profiles. https://www.wltpfacts.eu/what-is-wltp-how-will-it-work/
  6. Each to their own, Personally I would have paid the extra 130,000 baht and gone for the leaf I See that MG Thailand is quoting a range of 403 Km using the NEDC standard of testing Which is Strange that MG UK is quoting a range of 318km usiing the WLTP standard of testing same battery 51.1 kWh Battery Useable4 9.0 kWh https://www.mg.co.uk/new-cars/new-mg-zs-ev Which is very similar to the EV vehicle database site which states a range of 320 km using WLTP However they state that the real range is 270km https://ev-database.org/car/1540/MG-ZS-EV-Standard-Range
  7. It would appear you not really into detailed data This EV database states that the MG 50.3 kWh Battery only 46.0 kWh is useable whiile the Nissan Leaf 40.0 kWh Battery has an useable figure of 39.0 kWh which would indicated that the MG only has a 11.8% larger useable battery than the Nissan leaf not the 25% that you have stated https://ev-database.org/car/1646/MG-MG5-Electric-Standard-Range
  8. I assume you understand that you are posting about vehicles that have been tested by Euro Ncap and not vehicles that have been tested by ASEAN NCAP Only the MG 3 and MG ZS have been tested by ASEAN NCAP and Mazda CX-5 has not been tested by ASEAN NCAP New Car Assessment Program for Southeast Asian Countries (ASEAN NCAP), a new addition to the NCAP family, is targeted to elevate vehicle safety standards, raise consumer awareness and thus encourage a market for safer vehicles in the region. https://aseancap.org/v2/
  9. For anyone thinking about buying electric Electric Vehicle Range Testing:UNDERSTANDING NEDC VS. WLTP VS. EPA NEDC vs. WLTP: Which is More Accurate? In Europe, the NEDC was established in the 1980s and was last updated in 1997. In addition to being old and outdated These changes make the WLTP more accurate, with EV range estimates approximately 10% higher than what Europeans experience. Compare that to the NEDC’s tendency to overestimate by 25% to 30%, and you’ll understand why the WLTP is more trustworthy. https://www.jdpower.com/cars/shopping-guides/electric-vehicle-range-testing-understanding-nedc-vs-wltp-vs-epa Jaguar Thailand uses the WLTP testing and explains the reason why here The new tests are designed to better reflect current engine technology. NEDC was last updated in 1997, when the first generation of modern hybrid vehicles became widely available. Two decades later and — in addition to PHEV and MHEV vehicles — electric vehicles, like our own Jaguar I‑PACE, are on the roads. The tests for NEDC were not designed for these kinds of vehicles, WLTP addresses that. https://www.jaguar.co.th/owners-wltp
  10. Problem is the MG is Tested according to the energy efficiency standard NEW EUROPEAN DRIVING CYCLE (NEDC) The NEDC, which is supposed to represent the typical usage of a car in Europe, is repeatedly criticised for delivering economy-figures which are unachievable in reality. It consists of four repeated ECE-15 urban driving cycles (UDC) and one Extra-Urban driving cycle (EUDC). https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/New_European_Driving_Cycle Climate conitions between Europe and Thailand is completely different I have spent winters in Germany where it was on a regular basis -20C has it ever reached -20C in Thailand I don't think so

  13. How Temperature Affects EV Range What does heat do to my EV battery? Temperature is known to have a big influence on the rate of Li battery degradation. One of the main reasons that it is so critical is because temperature affects the rate and efficiency of chemical reactions inside a battery. Higher temperatures, (or higher voltages - but that’s another article), generally lead to faster reactions. This often means that the “unwanted” chemical reactions that make batteries degrade happen faster at higher temps. https://www.recurrentauto.com/research/how-temperature-affects-ev-range

  15. Here the link for the UN treaty collection Depositary https://treaties.un.org/Pages/Home.aspx?clang=_en Not that it matters as various countries choose to ignore them when it suits them including the EU and the USA The U.S. Makes a Mockery of Treaties and International Law https://towardfreedom.org/story/archives/americas/the-u-s-makes-a-mockery-of-treaties-and-international-law/ The rule of law is breaking down in the EU There are 27 member states in the EU. Two have now declared they are not bound by EU law. Based on the law as set out in the treaty each member state signs when it joins the EU, that means both countries are in breach of international law. https://www.spectator.co.uk/article/the-rule-of-law-is-breaking-down-in-the-eu
  16. Why don't you provide a link to support your post
  17. I think you will find it the Good Friday agreement that is lodged with the High Commissioner for Human Rights not the Brexit agreement
  18. League table of countries that break International law Would the USA hold the number 1 spot
  19. No, Britain is not breaking international law on the NI Protocol Article 16 of the treaty allows us to take appropriate measures in response to the EU's unreasonableness https://www.telegraph.co.uk/opinion/2022/05/19/no-britain-not-breaking-international-law-ni-protocol/ I can remeber when the EU wanted to invoked Article 16 Commission's move to trigger Article 16 of the Northern Ireland Protocol on 29 January. https://www.rte.ie/news/coronavirus/2021/0210/1196152-coronavirus-vaccine/
  20. You should advertise pickup only seen loads of tv damaged when posted unless you have kept all the original box and packing
  21. Thats is incorrect there are many cars on the one2car website that are listed with the reg documents the car is listed as xxxx model but the reg document clearly states the MFG date which is ofter older than the listed date. As to the op's question it depends on what you specifed on the order form if you didn't specify anything its pot luck if you get a car manufactured in 2021 or 2022 if you specifed on the order form that you will only accept a car that has been manufactured in 2022 you should receive a car built in that year If you check out the facebook groups for the brand and model your interested in around March you will see dealers offering between 150,000-250,000 discounts on brand new unregistered cars that were built in October,November December. you wouldn't get the same level of discount on the same vehicle that was manufactured in the current year If you choose to visit a showroom rather that do you inital search on the internet its likely that you wouldn't be offered huge discounts on models regardless of year of manufacturer
  22. I know but when you check the name it is always something that looks close to the original brand manufacturer name but the original model of this phone normally sells for around 40-42,000 baht It you check the advert carefully they never mention the original brand name on the box is states SVMSUNG Most OEM never advertised their products as original
  23. I am not aware where Samsung will put their own name and brand to a clone phone can you provide a link please
  24. other clue is store rating This is a new store
  25. look at the picture on the box the brand name is SVMSUNG
