So does this mean a court martial could be convened or will a transfer to an inactive post suffice?
The second one looks most likely Must be awfully full these inactive posts by now? If i was in the army or cops i would do something bad to get transferred to these inactive posts. Feet up on desk get paid for nothing lol Happy days

Stimulus measures :-
1. Recruit 20,000 new immigration staff to root out visa overstays.
2. Recruit 10,000 new police to arrest and expel miscreants.3. Introduce a foreigner tax for those still here.
4. Open 5,000 new car washes to use up any remaining water still left in the reservoirs.
5. Start construction of 1 new runway at both Suvarnabhumi and Don Muang for the 65,000/day Chinese shortly to be coming.
6. Reward everyone in the government handsomely for the marvellous way they have handled things.
Or double the size of the army and get 10,000 new Generals Plus 5 subs instead of 3 And get 2 new deputy PMs to make it 4

And they are getting the anti-viral from China? For real? Does anyone here have a clue why so many died in Italy? 95% roughly had pre-existing health issues all on heavy doses of daily meds ( big Pharma ) and given anti-virals made them croak. Sheesh.
You are right my friend. 95% in italy had pre-existing health conditions Why does the media not report this

The gift of fear and people will do anything. There is no logic in panic buying The supermarkets will not close but still the people do it. Why?
In Australia the government had worked it out To get the population onside with fear they use to spread fear and it worked
In the 1960s " Commies under your bed" That was to get justification to get Australia into Vietnam war 2/ WMD That was to get Australia into Iraq war with justificatin 3/ Children overboard That was spread by the government to stop illegal immigrants entering Australia so the government was returned because they had the best policies This virus is differnt ok Its very real but if people just relax carry on normal life stop panic buy and we will all live to fight another day. I dont fear this virus because fear is not going to rule me.

Here we see the big difference between developing countries like Thaiand and developed countries.
Many Western countries are breaking their budgets to compensate people who are laid off work, whether permanent or temporary, as a result of COVID-19 restrictions. Here most of those who will be sent home will receive not a single baht from the Government, whose generosity so far has extended to give a 3% discount on electricity and water bills. It's surely time to dig into the reserves and help Thai citizens.
And the situation has now been exacerbated with the closure of shopping malls and markets in Bangkok. How are market traders going to make any sort of living and will stores continue to pay their stay-at-home staff? Come on Prayut, you need to help them....and that doesn't mean giving them a 1,000 baht shopping voucher!
Sorry the subs are arriving soon Must pay for them more im portant.

It's good to try and be positive but i think Thais aren't getting the magnitude of this yet otherwise they would be panic buying. I'll post this again so people take it seriously. Death rate in Italy now 43%, France and Germany slightly less.
1 hour ago, morrobay said:So the 43% does not look like it is including the 30692 mild cases that most likely just fade away, ie. not considered a closed case. That's quite an omission since when they are included the rate is only 8%
Is that what you want? See Thais go crazy in the supermarkets I think positive ok Geez man

Ok lets be postive The virus is here. But it is not a death sentence is it? As for panic buying the Thais are doing well in that department. I go to Mackro. I dont see Thais emptying the shelves. Look at australia they went crazy and emptied the shelves. I am sure if everyone just takes stock relax carry on as normal and this will pass by. I am full of confidence and so should everybody else be. Dont not forget Thailands road death is about 60 per day and they do nothing. Here they get 60 new cases virus and they scream blue murder. Out of that 60 how many will recover? A lot will ok. How many recover fron car smashes every day? Like i said 60 die every day

My thoughts exactly. I have the feeling, given the poor quality of education in this country, the poor masses will take what he said at face value and could start attacking western foreigners.
On the other hand, we're probably still reasonably safe hanging out in areas popular with expats and tourists (even if there are currently few of the latter) since these areas also tend to be where the better educated, more affluent Thais who abhor this kind of behavior hang out and reside. In other words, downtown Bangkok may be a better place to be right now than some small village in Isarn.
oops I live in Ubon am I safe lol? I dont think this minister really knows the consequences of what he said. Might as well say its the "Dirty Farangs fault" because of the virus. Thais believe this and might take matters into your own hands and get rid of thoses dirty farangs. An eg how easy these Thais believe. The Soi dogs who by the way have bitten many a people because they are starving They are becoming wild dogs. The Thais wont take action against these dogs because the Buddha religon says you cannot destroy life. Its ok for the dogs to starve to death but killing them in humane way no way. Does that make sense?

Interesting point.
Also possible that the guy is just stupid, just says whatever comes into his tiny mind and has no capability to realize the complications, dangers etc., which comes from his motor mouth actions.
Yep you are right? Sometimes point scoring starts the ball rolling. Dont look at the governemnt but look at the dirty farangs.

Oh well back home to england he goes Bad luck son. just one question? The cops caught him on a tip off am i right what i read? Wonder who the tip off was?
-
Personally i dont care what people call me if it makes them feel better. But knowing the mentality of Thais by him saying what he did might cause some Thais to start finger pointing and taking matters in their own hands about these "dirty foreigners." Come on we are living in a country where they still believe in Ghosts on a grand scale

It IS the only transport they have. What would you do if that was all you had? (Rhetorical)
So u think its ok 4 on a bike? Living dangerous then is ok. Control of that bike would be minimal would it not? But they are not rich people so they take that chance and besides they know no different. Old saying in Thailand. Life is cheap. Sad but true and with all the bad drivers they have here the odds on having a smash like this is high.
