OK, go to Device Manager in Control Panel and delete/uninstall your mouse. It should re-install again on boot up.

How can it be 'stupid' if it re-installs drivers. I call that pretty clever.

Usually, unplugging the mouse receiver and then re-plugging it will sort you out.

Same here, but best to be prepared as Baden Powell said. If you have a Tax Disc (not in UK these days) then you must have the Por RarBor. Saying that, if the four tyres on your car survive a kicking by the Inspector, the all is OK.

Did you try a wired mouse? Unless you are sitting a long way from your PC, why have USB/B'tooth mouse/keyboard? If on a desk it is pointless.

No but I can recommend leaving the 'marriage' bit until you get home to wherever you come from. Why do it here? Will it alter your relationship, or just cost you a lot of hassle and money.
