I am booking an hotel for mid February through booking.com or hotels.com or expedia, and see that there is a £20 per night difference if I book FULLY REFUNDABLE, which is usually one day before check-in. In fact some say that I do not pay until I arrive (or check-out) of the room.
If however, I book FULLY REFUNDABLE, cancel say two days before check-in , and re-book at the NON REFUNDABLE rate, would it be accepted by BOOKING.com or the hotel.
Anyone done that?
Can the same be done with flights?
